Brief history: Elizabeth grew up not knowing who her parents were or why they left her at the front door steps of some strange family. The family that took her in had two children of their own. Little monsters actually. Elizabeth would clean day and night while everyone lounged around. She was basically a slave to this spoiled family. The day she turned sixteen, her family ordered her to get a job to help pay the taxes. But whenever she was alone or didn't have any work to do, she would sneak from the house and go to the pier to watch dozens of ships from all over the world come to port to restock. Some of the kind sailors would even tell Liz their many adventures they've been on or what they've seen. Liz always dreamed about one day to set sail to the sea and leave this god forsaken island she was trapped on. But still, she couldn't seem to find the courage to leave on her own.

Plot/Requirements: YC must be a pirate, captain preferably please, for this salty adventure. YC and his crew will make port at MCs island to restock or just to relax. Our two characters will have a run in with each other by either 1.) Mc is about to be robbed but is tossed off the port town peircing and YC saves her from drowning. .2) they meet in her bar where she works and mc notices something YC is wearing and is very knowledgeable on the item which catches his attention. 3.) YC is just flirting with mc. But at some point YC will either take mc willingly or forcibly on to his ship as his new cook or whatever. They sail the seas, escaping other dangerous pirates and the navy trying to capture YC. Over time the two will fall for each other. I would like him to be at least a few years older than Liz. Not ten years older please. Any questions, please inbox me as well as ideas. BE ACTIVE OR I WILL MAKE YE WALK THE PLANK! Have fun!

Alexander was starting to stir from his unconsciousness. He began to mumble incoherently," Liz....I'm sorry....Liz...." Alexander then began to move and opened one eye and then the other and a feminine scent hit his nose. He then opened one eye and then the other wondering where he was then he remembered everything. Alexander's face turned red, and he looked at the woman who sat beside him the whole time and stuttered," I.....uh....I...," he felt so vulnerable that he wanted to hide under a rock or in his captain's quarters for the rest of the voyage to Europe. Alexander knew she didn't feel that way about him and it was sweet of her to stay beside him to take care of him, but why would she if she didn't love him? He knew she was a caring soul helping those in need. Alexander composed himself," Thank you, Elizabeth. You really didn't have to watch over me. My actions so far have been inappropriate knowing you don't feel the way I do or assuming you don't. I really don't know how you feel. I just wanted you to know in case I did give up and it would kill me in the after life if I never told you my true feelings. Now that you know how I feel, I'll stop trying to flirt with you and leave you notes and flowers. I'm just a pirate. I don't want you worrying about me when you'll probably find a man better for you in Europe." Alexander then closed his eyes again just laying there giving his body time to rest. Plus, he wanted to know what Liz had to say if she said anything at all. His face was still red with embarrassment.

Liz placed a damp cloth over his head when he began to stir. She let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding in. Thank goodness he was alright. But seeing his face suddenly change color had her looking at him curiously until he spoke. He really doesn't get it huh? She gave him a moment after he spoke then gently touched his cheek. Her fingers caressed up his cheek until she snatched his ear. "I thought only women were easily love stricken but you just proved me wrong." She sighed then crossed her arms. "This isn't some fairy tail Alexander. But instead of sulking just because I'm not returning your feelings right away, how about trying to get to know me more?" She huffed but smiled. "I'm a hopeless romantic with books yes I'll admit but I want to first get to know someone before Cupid strikes me with his arrow. Let's take this one step at a time okay? Can we at least try that please?" She smiled kindly at him. He was a sweet man but really needed to learn to not jump the gun when it comes to love.

Alexander was relieved that there was at least some hope. He was just tired of being alone in his bed and tired of being alone on the sea. Alexander started to sit up feeling much more better than he did a while ago. He had something to show her. Alexander looked at Liz with a smile," My lady, I have something to show you. I think you will like it." He beckoned her to follow him down below deck to a secret passage on his ship that he made himself. It lead to a big black door that had a special key that only he, the captain, had access to. Alexander opened the door to a small library that had shelves and shelves of books," My mother had this built for her when she came with us out to sea. She wanted a peaceful place to go when tensions on the ship was high. You may come and go here as you please if you like." Alexander touched some of the books his mother would read to him as a child.

Elizabeth was going to tell him not to move so much but he was already leading her down below deck. So she followed until he revealed a secret library under the ship. Her eyes widen as she looked upon the many shelves and rows of books. "Not even my towns library has a collection like this." She mumbled then looked surprised when he said she could come here whenever she wanted. She smiled brightly then hugged him. "Thank you." Books had been her only escape from her old home. With them she was able to travel to many different lands. She pulled away after a moment then gently took his hand. "But you really should lie down. You did lose a lot of blood. I'll prepare some food for you. He sure to drink plenty of water as well." She chuckled as she led him above deck once more.

Alexander chuckled," I'll only lie down if you read to me. It does get rather boring just laying in bed staring at the ceiling with no company." He looked a little sheepish asking her if she would read to him as if he were a child, but Alexander wanted some company as he got better maybe he could ask her about things that she liked. Once they reached his bed chamber, Alexander opened his door and laid down on his bed resting his head on his pillow. All of a sudden, his stomach gave a loud growl like it hadn't eaten in days. Alexander laughed," I guess my stomach wants more of your cooking, my lady. Sometime, I'll have to cook for you when I am feeling better." He looked at her with a smile.

Elizabeth laughed softly at his request but wasn't making fun of him. It was rather cute actually. She picked out a book before they left. But when they arrived to his room she heard a growl. She chuckled softly, moving so she could set the book beside his bed. "I'll go prepare you a quick meal before I begin to read. Can't sleep with an empty stomach." She smiled then left once more. He'll need something nutritious to restore all the nutrients he lost. After coming up with something she brought the dish up to his room. "You can eat while I read." She opened to the first chapter then cleared her throat before beginning. Honestly this did feel like she was reading to a child. He had a child like personality but at least he was more well behaved than the two little demons she had to care for.

Alexander ate as she read to him. He laughed when she would attempt to do a man's voice and laughed even harder when she pitched her voice higher to sound like a child's voice. Alexander was enjoying this book, but after the events of the day, he found himself drifting off to sleep to the sound of Liz's voice reading the book. He finally fell asleep and began to dream of her and the places he would take her. Alexander dreamed of her smile and how she helped anyone in need. He was still sleeping the next morning when he heard her voice trying to get him up.

Once he was finally asleep Liz took the empty dishes and book to finish later. It was actually a interesting book. She looked back at Alexander and smiled softly. "Goodnight captain. Sweet dreams." She whispered then headed out. She did her remaining chores before falling making it back to her room. As soon as her head hit the pillows she was fast asleep. But early the next morning she was quick to prepare breakfast. Now to wake up that child of a captain. She knocked before entering the room but saw he was still fast asleep. "Captain, time for breakfast. Wake up." She said softly then walked over, gently shaking his uninjured side. "Alexander wake up."

Alexander had the covers over his head, so Liz couldn't see that he was awake waiting to strike. Once she touched his arm to wake him up, he smirked and grabbed her arm pulling her under the covers pretending to be a monster," Roar....Im going to eat hou, my pretty....roar...," he laughed then sat up in his bed. He looked down at Liz," How would you like to learn how to sword fight?"

Liz gaped as he pulled her down. Her had formed into a fist out of instinct until she realized he was fully awake. This pirate captain really was like a child. It's amazing he was one of the most feared captains that ruled the sea. Once he sat up she blew a few loose hairs in her face then brushed them back under her bandanna. "Sure. May come in handy incase we ran into any other ruthless pirates." She chuckled then sat up. "After I clean up the mess I know your men are making in my kitchen." She smirked then climbed out of bed.

Alexander smiled and stood up himself," Don't bother because my men have already cleaned up the mess in the kitchen as a thank you for cooking for them. I'll meet you out on the deck to get started on sword fighting practice." He walked over to his closet and changed out of his clothes when she left his bed chamber. He put on a white shirt and black pants then his boots. Alexander left his jacket and put on a black bandana that had a skull and cross bones on it. He then grabbed his swords and headed out towards the deck. He grabbed an apple out of a barrel and ate that for his breakfast feeling energized. Alexander handed Liz one of the swords," Now the number one rule about sword fighting is to not panic and not let your opponent get to you. The second thing to remember is not rush your opponent. Use your sword as an extension of yourself." He moved behind her to adjust her stance extending her arm and moving her feet shoulder length apart placing his hand on hers whispering," Relax, Elizabeth. Don't think just feel." Alexander then took the safe stance in front of her," Perfect. You okay so far?"

Elizabeth made sure her hair was tide back and her bangs tucked under her bandanna before joining him on deck. She took the sword, following his instructions and allowed him to position her. "Yep. I think I got the idea." She smiled then took her stance. Once they started Liz gently pushed Alexander back with her sword clashing with his before quickly dodging away from his attack. She remembers a thing or two from watching sailors, mostly drunkards, in the pub or outside on the docks sparring. Some fights were quite funny to watch actually.

Alexander smiled and nodded with approval," Good form, Liz. You'll be a force not to be reckoned with in no time." He figured Liz would be a good fighter because she was strong and had fire and passion. Alexander just wanted to be sure that she could defend herself in case his ship was attacked, and he couldn't get to her aid. After a while of sparring, Alexander was sweating and had taken his shirt off to keep it from clinging to his body. He blocked Liz's attacks then attacked himself while she dodged or blocked his attack. They were an equally matched pair, and Alexander wondered if sword fighting and being a pirate was in her blood. He felt sorry that Liz didn't know her parents, and he secretly had his contacts out searching for a clue as to who they are or were. He wouldn't tell her that though until he knew for sure it was them. Alexander chuckled," I think that's enough sparring for one day. You have a knack for this, my lady. I hope you never have to use these skills, but I know if you have to you will. I had our black smith make this for you," Alexander handed her a beautiful sword," It's light but deadly. I wanted you to have your own sword."

During their spar Liz took notes on her mistakes, how to improve her moves and everything. Sword fighting almost felt like dancing in a way. A deadly dance however. After a while she was exhausted. She pulled off her bandanna to wipe the sweat from her brows as he spoke. When he handed her a sword she looked at the sharp blade. "Thank you but you really shouldn't have." She smiled softly. Exactly when did he have time to do this?! She took the sword then handed back the one he let her spar with. "Guess I better get started on lunch." She chuckled, heading down below deck towards the kitchen.

Alexander was helping a young man practice his knot tying," Like this, lad. Don't think too much. If you over analyze the knot, tying it won't come to you. Here. Watch my hands carefully, boy." He tied the knot kind of slowly then untied it to let the young sailor try it again. Alexander had patience when it came to his crew and showing them how to perfect their skills because he was knew at this once. Alexander knew that some things were easy and some not so much like tying knots a certain way so they'll be nice and tight. Especially for the canons. The young sailor smiled," I did it, Captain. Thank you. I'll tie down the rest of these barrels." Alexander nodded smiling at him then patted the young man's shoulder," Good work, lad." Alexander was walking around his boat helping his crew whenever he could and answering the questions they had. He walked up to one of his crew members swabbing the deck," Lad, you aren't going to cover much ground using the mop like that. Here. Let me show you a trick my father taught me." The man nodded eager to learn from the captain himself. Alexander took the mop smiling," Watch closely, boy," he began to swab the deck in a steady manner but was covering more ground than the young man," See? If you do it that way, you'll get done faster and have more time to relax." The sailor nodded and began using the mop the way Alexander had. Alexander walked over tp the edge of the boat looing out at the sea and inhaling the smell of the salt in the ocean.

Elizabeth hummed as she prepared lunch. She was walking passed one of the port holes when something in the distance caught her eye. "Hm?" She set the tray down and moved to the bigger window. There was something failing behind them. It looked like another ship. Elizabeth squinted her eyes but saw it had a black flag. "Uh oh." Quickly she ran back up to the deck looking around for Alexander. "Captain, there's a ship tailing behind us."

Alexander was enjoying the breeze and helping out member's of his crew when he heard Liz shout for him," Thank you, Liz. I will go investigate," he grabbed his telescope and headed towards the back of the ship. Alexander opened his telescope and pointed it in the direction of the ship and sighed," I've never seen this ship before, and I've seen them all. It's a new pirate ship. They obviously don't know who I am," he chuckled a bit darkly," If they think they can take my ship, they are mistaken." Alexander started shouting orders to his crew," Prepare yourselves for a fight gentleman. There's a ship tailing us who obviously don't know who we are," the crew laughed darkly together," We will not go down without a fight!," the crew shouted together and began to prepare the canons and grab their weapons. Alexander looked at Liz," My lady, please do not think any less of me. I was hoping you would not see the dark side of me...the side of me I fight with everyday....the side of me that craves blood and murder....please forgive me..." He looked at Liz with sadness and pain in his eyes. Alexander hated this part of him because it was the less human part, the cold hearted part, and it scared him more than anything else in this world to become a monster.

Liz watched as the crew ran around to prepare for battle. Well, guess a fight was bound to happen when you're on a pirate ship. She just wasn't expecting it so soon. When Alexander came down and apologized for his darker side she raised a brow but smiled softly. "You're a pirate, I wasn't expecting anything less." She said then looked around. She only just begun her training so she won't be of much use in battle. But if she has to fight she will. "What should I do captain?"

Alexander handed Liz a sword," Here. I want you to defend yourself against these newcomers if they are able to board my ship. Use what I have taught you and put your own style into it. You're a lady, so they won't expect you to know how to fight use that to your advantage. You're a brilliant woman, my lady. A free woman. Show the world what you can do, Elizabeth." Alexander then hurried off to shout out more orders and to help the crew with whatever left needs to be done. His ship was still a good distance from the one tailing them, but they needed to keep the advantage even more. Cannons began to fire from Alexander's ship aiming for the enemy behind them.

Elizabeth took the sword, looking at her reflection through the blade. The thought of actually using this and possibly taking another's life was terrifying. But if she wants to die soon she has to fight. "Okay." She looked to him before he ran off. She wasn't sure where to go but headed down below to the kitchen and locked the doors. She went to the other rooms, locking them as well. Once all the doors were locked she headed above deck, seeing his closely the other ship had come.
