Brief history: Elizabeth grew up not knowing who her parents were or why they left her at the front door steps of some strange family. The family that took her in had two children of their own. Little monsters actually. Elizabeth would clean day and night while everyone lounged around. She was basically a slave to this spoiled family. The day she turned sixteen, her family ordered her to get a job to help pay the taxes. But whenever she was alone or didn't have any work to do, she would sneak from the house and go to the pier to watch dozens of ships from all over the world come to port to restock. Some of the kind sailors would even tell Liz their many adventures they've been on or what they've seen. Liz always dreamed about one day to set sail to the sea and leave this god forsaken island she was trapped on. But still, she couldn't seem to find the courage to leave on her own.

Plot/Requirements: YC must be a pirate, captain preferably please, for this salty adventure. YC and his crew will make port at MCs island to restock or just to relax. Our two characters will have a run in with each other by either 1.) Mc is about to be robbed but is tossed off the port town peircing and YC saves her from drowning. .2) they meet in her bar where she works and mc notices something YC is wearing and is very knowledgeable on the item which catches his attention. 3.) YC is just flirting with mc. But at some point YC will either take mc willingly or forcibly on to his ship as his new cook or whatever. They sail the seas, escaping other dangerous pirates and the navy trying to capture YC. Over time the two will fall for each other. I would like him to be at least a few years older than Liz. Not ten years older please. Any questions, please inbox me as well as ideas. BE ACTIVE OR I WILL MAKE YE WALK THE PLANK! Have fun!

Alexander was still awake even if his crew was asleep. He can't remember the last time he actual ate, and Alexander hadn't even drank any water since he landed on the island. He could feel that he was letting himself go as the inner battle continued inside of him. Alexander felt...empty like his world had gone dark and here was no light in it at all accept for her. How long would that last? How long would she remain on his ship until she found somewhere or someone that made her happy? Alexander knew the light in his eyes was going out, the savviness he usually carried was draining, and time was making him feel like he had been hit by something hard. He was becoming a shell of himself, and Alexander didn't know how to fix it. He sat back after writing watching the candle light flicker knowing how easy it was to put that light out to take it away. He was tired of chasing down a false hope of finding his other half and wanted to just give himself up to the sea, but something was keeping him from doing so which meant he had a little bit of a fight left in him. Alexander started to write again making sure everything was in order.

Elizabeth spent her first day on the ship learning all that she could. Where everything was, how to tie the sails, tie certain knots and much more. It was all so exciting that even as everyone was fast asleep down below in their bunkers Elizabeth was wide awake. She sat on the wood railing of the ship staring out to the sparkling sea. She's never seen so many stars like this. Was this even real? She smiled as she closed her eyes, taking a soft deep breath then opened her lips. "Into the sea. Hold you close to me. Slide 'neath the waves. Down into the caves. Kiss me my love. Come rest in my arms. Dream your dreams with me. Slide beneath the sea. Come to me my love. Forget the land above. Hold you close to me. Slide 'neath the waves. Down into the caves~..." she sang softly. It was supposedly a old siren song but she's sang into so many times near the water she didn't worry about any dangerous sea beasts coming.

Alexander stopped writing when he heard singing on deck, so he got up to investigate and see where the singing was coming from. He smiled when he saw her singing and looking up at the stars, and he could hear the waves softly crash against the boat as they drifted along. Alexander moved up next to her and spoke," You have a beautiful voice, my lady. You seem to be enjoying the view as well. The stars are shining bright tonight. That is a good omen for us pirates because it means we have a chance to have a safe journey to Europe or wherever we are going." He sighed looking at each and every star that he could see and wondered if his mother was watching him and the rest of his ancestors.

Elizabeth was nearly lost in her song when she heard Alexander. She stopped singing and turned to him as he spoke but smiled at what he said. "That's good to know." She said then returned her gaze to the stars. "I feel like this is all a dream. That I'll wake up back in that awful place and you would've already left the island." She said, glancing down the dark waters below for a moment then looked to him. "Thank you for taking me with you. Not exactly how I thought I would leave that island but, I think I was meant to sail on a pirate ship. You all have more fun adventures than anyone else." She chuckled softly.

Alexander just nodded," You're welcome. I was just trying to do some good in this world. Maybe if I do good then fate will reward me with the thing I want most, but I fear I will be claimed by the sea before that happens. I assure you this is not a dream, and I would not have left until I received your answer. Well, I'm off to my quarters if you need anything." He could hear the creeks in the ship and the waves softly move beneath them. Alexander started to reach out to touch her cheek to hold her hand, but he thought better of it considering she didn't feel that way about him at least he thought she didn't. Alexander turned to walk back to the loneliness that was his captain's quarters. He would leave the candle burning in case Liz needed anything.

"Goodnight captain. I think I might be awake for a while longer." She smiled softly then looked back out to sea. This was no dream and it made her happy to know it wasn't. Her smile grew and she squealed happily but softly as she twirled on the deck. "I wonder what grand adventures await tomorrow." She giggled. For another hour she was up on deck before finally heading to bed. But early the next morning there was a ringing on the ship that startled the crew in their bunkers. "Breakfast!" Liz's voice called as she set the bell down. Spread on the table weren bowls of scrambled eggs, sausages, bread and freshly pressed juice jugs. Elizabeth was quite proud of her work. She already had a plate made for herself as she went into he back of the kitchen to clean the dishes.

Alexander had been awake all night. He just couldn't bring himself to sleep. Alexander heard the bell signaling breakfast, but he wasn't hungry. Alexander couldn't eat when he felt so empty, so lost. He was wrong to think Liz was the one and now it was too late for him to pick up a woman to at least sate his needs at night. Alexander figured that as long as his men were not restless Liz would be safe from them advancing on her not that they would anyways because he would make them pay for forcing themselves onto a lady. When Alexander saw the sun rise, he had blown out the candle letting the sun light up his quarters. He was studying a map of Europe and then maps of the countries within to see what places would be best to sell merchandise.

The men all wolfed down the food Elizabeth made. She was shocked to see the men eating as if they never had food before. But as she did a head count she noticed someone was missing. Why wasn't the captain down here to eat? She made him up a plate then headed above deck towards his quarters and knocked. "Captain, I'm coming in." She opened the door a bit and saw he was at his desk. "I brought you breakfast. Even the captain needs to eat." She smiled as she placed his plate on the table.

Alexander was focused on the maps he was studying because they were interesting. How could such a small continent have so many countries? How could small countries have so many cities? He was so busy concentrating that he didn't hear Liz knock or open the door until she said she was coming in. Alexander nodded," Thank you, Elizabeth. It looks delicious." He didn't make the effort to eat though as he marked with his pen areas that looked promising and areas that wasn't worth selling the merchandise. Alexander, at least his usual self, would have been down with his men cheerfully eating and conversing with them on what needed to be improved. He hardly ever shut himself in his quarters, but his old self was lost trying to come back but couldn't find the way. A crew member came in and whispered to Liz in a concerned voice," This is not our captain. He is not usually cooped up in here and it's not healthy for him. Captain James will not eat or sleep when he is like this. It usually happens when he misses his mother but it's never been this bad...we may lose him if someone doesn't do something." The crew member scurried off for fear of getting in trouble, but Alexander just sat there as his food got cold.

Elizabeth frowned when he barely touched his food. He seemed off. What happened to that cheerful man she met on her island? She stood there just watching even as the other crewmate came in. She sighed then walked forward, snatching away the maps and papers smiling as she held them behind her. "Tsk. Tsk. This won't do. What happened to the man before? Come now, where's that handsome smile?" She smiled sweetly at him. "I'll give these back once you finish your food. I did get up extra early and worked hard on this meal for everyone." She poured playfully as if he were hurting her feelings.

Alexander was actually lost in thought thinking on the memories he had with Liz wondering what could he have done differently without forcing her. He pondered for a moment and there was nothing he could have done to make her say yes. Alexander had to let her decide on her own, and it was causing him to be damned. He felt like a child lost trying to find his way in the world. Next thing Alexander knew, his paperwork was snatched from him. He was about ready to yell when he saw a smile that shed some light on his loneliness and he smiled a little bit but not enough to fix what he was feeling," If you don't give those back, I will pick you up and take you to my bedroom and have my way with you, Elizabeth." It was the truth. Alexander picked up his fork and ate all the food on his plate. He then looked at her," If that is all, I would like my maps back please unless you want me to have my way with you, Ms. Shanks." His heart couldn't bear to call her by her name anymore. It was too broken.

Elizabeth's eyes widen when she saw the lonely look in his eyes. And from the tone in his told her he wasn't joking. What happened? Was that kind personality just an act? She frowned at him but handed his papers back then picked up the dishes. She left without another word and headed below to finish the dishes. When she finished she wondered what more she could do. Lunch won't be for a few hours. The men seemed like they didn't need help with the ship. She pondered on what to do when she noticed some of the men had holes in their clothing. That might help pass the time. So she called any men that had any ripped or torn clothing they would like her to fix. In the end she had gathered quite more than she expected. She sat in her room looking at the pile but smiled. "Better get started." She said then picked up a pair of trousers then began sewing them back together.

Alexander felt bad with the way he treated her because it wasn't her fault. It was his own fault for putting so much hope and faith in something that took time and effort. He knew there was only one thing he could do one thing that would make him feel better. There was one thing he never told her he could do, well, two things actually. Alexander wrote her a note that said," Dearest Liz, Please forgive me for my behavior. I'm just lonely searching for....the one person in this world who will stay by my side no matter what. Of course, the search has not gone well, and it's taking it's toll on my heart. I'm sorry....I'm so sorry. With Love, Captain Alexander James." He then wrapped the note around some lavender and slipped it underneath the door to her bedroom. He then grabbed his guitar and walked to the front of the deck. Alexander began to play and softly sang," What am I doing here? What I am searching for? I have been all over the seven seas and yet I still feel alone. Where are you, my love? Have I not looked far and wide for her? Can a pirate even find love when he has committed crimes? If I cannot find you, my darling, come find me."

Elizabeth huffed, blowing a few strands of her hair out of her face as she finished sewing on a button to the shirt she had in her hands. That's when she saw the note. After reading it she smiled slightly but only for a moment before putting the note away. "I just don't understand that man." She sighed then continued sewing. Soon she heard singing coming from outside. She came out to see what was going on but was surprised to see the captain singing. She leaned against the door frame to watch for a while. The crew didn't seem to mind. In fact they acted like this was normal. But hearing the words to his song made her sigh before she went back to her room to finish her work.

Alexander played his guitar feeling his old self again, and he began to help the crew make improvements on the ship," That sail needs to be tied down, Anderson. Yes, just like I showed you. Very good. Mayhew, put those barrels down below in the cargo hold be careful they have fragile content. I will tie down the cannons." The other men started their own task like swabbing the deck and guiding the boat along the sea to Europe. Alexander felt more like his own self again as he worked with his crew. He couldn't ask for better comrades on the sea who appreciated him just as much as he did them. Alexander was moving a cannon when his jacket tore and he swore," Son of a bitch," he sighed and headed for Elizabeth's bedroom. When he reached her door, he knocked softly," Elizabeth, I...need your expert sowing skills....if I may come in." He slowly opened the door smiling sheepishly at her.

At least most of the clothes had easy repair tares. She was almost done when she heard a knock. Seeing Alexander she nodded, gesturing to the pile on her bed. "Go ahead and leave what you need fix here with the others. I should have these done later. When I'm done I'll call for everyone to get their things." She said, cutting the thread string then moved on to patching the coat in her hands.

Alexander smiled and knelt down beside her bowing his head," Thank you, my lady." He reached out to touch her cheek, so he could look into her eyes, but Alexander thought better of it and stood up. He took off his coat and showed her where the tear was," I guess I'm lucky the hook got my coat and not me." When Alexander rolled his sleeves up he saw a gash in his arm and cursed under his breath. He didn't even know when he got the wound and didn't even feel it until now. Alexander tried to stop the bleeding but couldn't, and he didn't know how to stitch it up either. Alexander then looked at Liz," I'm sorry you have to see my arm like this...um...I'll go find something to put on it." Alexander started to walk away panicking on the inside because if he couldn't find something to stop the bleeding soon he may lose consciousness.

Elizabeth looked up when he showed her the tear but gasped when she saw the blood. She quickly stood as he began to leave but grabbed his hand. "No, you're loosing too much blood. Sit down and I'll stitch it closed. I just need some more supplies." She had him sit in the chair then opened the door, shouting for the crew to get her some medical herbs and bandages. Whenever they brought them she was quickly began cleaning his wound the corner sterilized a needle to stitch it closed. "I won't lie this will hurt even with the herbs. Just try not to move." She said, gently rubbing his good shoulder then carefully began stitching the wound. The herbs she crushed should help numb the area but it'll still hurt.

Alexander couldn't help but smile at her quick thinking as she sat him down like a mother hen would a child. He sighed bracing himself and swore under his breath," Son of a bitch," but he didn't move or at least tried not to move. When she was done stitching him up, Alexander touched her cheek with his hand," Thank you. I'll try to be more careful, my lady." He then started to get up but immediately fell into the chair feeling light headed. His eyes started to close and his body felt weak from the loss of blood. Alexander thought he was dying and before he stopped himself he said," Liz, in case I never see you again, I love you more than words can say. I know it's idiotic because we only met a few days ago, but I do. I'm sorry." Alexander started to close his eyes. He felt like he just needed some sleep. Wait, he thought he heard someone. It was faint but he could hear them, and the voice was bringing him back slowly.

Elizabeth cleaned off her bloodied hands in the bucket beside her. When he tried to stand she went to stop him but he was already falling back into the seat. "Captain relax. You just need to-" but she stopped as he began talking. Her cheeks blushed but she shook her head. "Captain snap out of it. You're okay. Captain." She shook him gently then patted his face. Maybe he lost more blood than she thought. He wasn't thinking straight. "Alexander, wake up." She slapped his cheek a little harder then moved him so he was lying on her bed. She gave him water, fed him bits of food and made sure his wound didn't bleed anymore. She stayed by his side for hours until he woke up. If he ever does.
