The Mirror - Garden
NoWealthNoRuin HK's Territory
A grand courtyard within a hotel on the inside of the border between the territories. It's been taken and retaken so many times that not even the family heads know who originally laid claim to it.

"I don't believe that. I heard you earlier...in the shower. You were singing just fine. " she smiled watching Him closely.

"You what?" His eyes widened, heart feeling as if it had stopped in his chest before he cleared his throat, shaking his head. "N-no, that wasn't me. I don't know what you must have heard." It was a bad lie and he knew it, but he couldn't believe that she had heard him so clearly.

Smirking, she raised a brow, looking at him. "Seriously..? It was someone else in this massive but empty house?"

"It could be haunted. No one knows for sure." His face was burning, he could feel, biting his lip as he cursed himself for being so careless. Of course she could hear him. She was at least part wolf, after all.

With a soft sigh, she snuggled closer. "IF you do'nt want to sing, don't. It's not a big deal. I just figured it might help me to sleep..maybe even help with my nightmares. I get it if you do'nt want to. Quit acting like such a girl."

"I'm not acting like a--" He broke off with a huff as her words hit home, shaking his head. "Fine." He said at last, thinking through the songs he knew before picking one that he was fond of. Out of his family he was sure that he wasn't the best singer, he thought, humming a few lines before starting to sing softly. His voice was grittier, a little raspier where Daehyun's was smooth or Youngjae's was bright.

Tensing as she heard him start to sing, she rested her ear over his heart. She was shocked, honestly, that he'd agreed, taht he sang at all... And she was even more surprised to find that his voice was actually..soothing. It was raspy...almost in a sexy way, perfect for an idol. But she'd never say that out loud. After a mometn she felt her body start to relax against him. The music, she realized, was helping after all.

Losing himself to the melody, he carded his fingers through her hair as he let his eyes slip closed, enjoying the unfamiliar weight of her on his chest and the warmth of her beside him.

Feeling her own body relax, her mind slowly start to drift off, she found that for once the terrors didn't come. All she found in her dreams was the man that held her in his arms.

He shifted a little after the song ended, asking softly if that was all right before he realized that she had ended up drifting off. Allowing himself a small smile, filing all worries and insistence that he was getting in too deep, he settled down once again, holding her to his chest as he followed her example.

(Well have to wobbly them...maybe toafter she's healed. The next morning she went back to being closed and cruel but she's been warming up to him? Has no more stitches, no more risk of bleeding, just minor aches now?

((Gotcha covered. XD))

When he wasn't in the city, Himchan found that he was spending more time at the house, relieving the guards he had posted in favor of watching after Soon Deok himself. He was more relaxed there, away from the prying eyes of those that would watch his every move. He cooked for her, played music, even sang on occasion when the mood struck him. He hadn't realized just how much having another person around could ease the loneliness he hadn't realized he had been carrying. Even through her distance or cruelty--that he was glad to notice was becoming fewer and further between--he was decidedly happier.

The surgery had gone well, though her mind hadn't really healed much after the discovery of what she was. Who was her family? They wereMonsters like her? They had to be... these thoughts had plagued her, resulting in several foul moods directed toward her captor, no matter how kind he was. The more time he spent with her, thr more she realized he wasn't so bad... he even sang to her, performed for her, cooked for her. It was like having a roommate in a home she couldn't leave...and it was starting to feel less likea jail though her health was worsening thanks to the wolf. Thankfully, she was damn good at hiding it..as she leaned on the balcony railing, listening to the soft music from the stereo inside, letting her body relax. He clothes had gotten dirty while she walked in the gardens outside. She'd cleaned up and decided to wear one of his shirts while she waited for her own to clean, glad it covered the tops of bare thighs... her hair fell messily and wet down her back. She found herself wondering when Himchan would be home..she was lonely, she was bored...and she did not just refer to this place as home..."

After a long and ridiculous night of playing cat-and-mouse with the latest team Eunkwang had sent after him, Himchan was glad to be home. Bidding his driver of the evening good night as he went inside with a plastic bag in each hand, he called out a greeting to his captor-turned-houseguest as he kicked off his shoes and set the bags on the counter in the kitchen. His suit jacket was soon discarded on the back of one of the bar stools, rolling up his sleeves and removing his tie with a weary sigh.

Hearing the voice, she forgot for a moent that she wore one of his shirts, that she wore no pants, taht her clothes were in the laundry room directly attached to the kitchen... her heart jumped at the sound of his call, trying to ignore the excitement, the happiness she felt htat he was home. She made her way to the staircase, stopping at the top to look down the overlook into the kitchen. He was taking off his tie... he always looked good when he took off that tie. "...Are you cooking?"

"Something simple." He nodded, pulling ingredients from the bags and setting them on the counter. "I need to unwind after the trouble I ran into today...how are you?" He asked, turning around to face her and stopping for a moment as he took in the sight of her wearing his shirt...and little else. She looked beautiful, he thought, having to blink a moment before catching himself and shaking his head with a smile.

"something simple? Like what?" She started down the stairs, hearing him mention trouble. Was it Eunkwang again? As she came to the bottom of the stairs and he turned toward her, she froze, suddenly very aware of how little she wore. Her cheeks flushed softly. "I um..my clothes got dirty in the yard. they're washing. I just needed something to wear until they're done." Flushing even darker as she tugged at the bottom of the shirt, she took a deep breath. "They should be finished in about an hour..."

"Don't worry about it." He waved her off with a smile, feeling his face heat as he found that against all logic, she looked incredible in his clothes. This wasn't good. "I was just thinking of frying some meat and making a pot of rice." He added in response to her question. "I thought about getting takeout, but cooking calms me down."

As she watched his cheeks flush, her brie furrowed. Dropping her gaze, she thought his words over. "That sounds great. If course I can't complain. I don't cook anyway. " with a weak smile, she looked up at. Calming him down..? Was he upset? "Do you want to talk about it?" But she already knew the answer. Of course he didn't. He wouldn't want to talk to something like her. She wasa monster, she didn't even deserve being in the same room asa human.... she could already feel her mood turning foul..which meant more insults, more harsh words directed to the man if she didn't leave... it was an effort, she realized, to get him to hate her..to treat her like the monster she'd discovered she was...

He nearly brushed her off as he usually did, not wanting to burden her with his issues, but with what had happened that day, he wasn't sure that he should decline the offer once again. "Would you mind listening?" He asked after a moment, a little unsure if she was offering out of politeness or not. These rare moments of civility between her usual foul moods were getting more frequent, he found, and he was found that he wanted to do something to make this one last. "If not, that's fine, I wouldn't want to burden you."
