Lee Haejin was on a roll. He had been in the country for five days and already nine defectors from Team 5446 were dead. Personal visits worked for a few, but the rest he was simply able to remove quietly and remotely. One such member was proving to be a problem--the bastard had bent to tie his shoe and Haejin had missed the shot, and now he was aware that he was being hunted. The boy had allowed a few days to bring the man's nerves to a boil, hoping that he would start making stupid mistakes once his paranoia got the better of him. He waited on the roof of a small bakery he had actually grown to like, laying on his stomach with a rifle, eyes on the street for any sign of his mark. He would have see him eventually, he knew. There was no other route for the man to take.

(I'm gonna have her dating the guy he's trying to kill...for now. XDDD But they can totally have a drama moment where he's sees her and is like ...wah....who is that...? XD)

Park Somin had been on her way to work when they called her to tell her not to come in for the day. Instead, she called Chulsoo and told him she'd meet him at the little bakery they'd gone to. He seemed stressed, worried, nervous, but he agreed. So as she approached, the bakery, she had no idea of how close to death she was, walking just into the man's scope as she leaned against the building, looking at her watch, hair blowing around her face in the cool wind.

((Ohmygoodness I love it XD))

As the girl passed in front of his scope--in precisely the place his mark was supposed to pass--he froze, breath catching in his chest. She was...beautiful, he thought, making sure the street was clear before moving his eye to the scope once again. The wind was perfect, he observed, feeling his heartbeat pick up. Maybe there were some good things about this country after all...

Pulling her phone from her pocket, she answered a text quickly, a simple message that asked her to check the street to be sure there were no strange looking people around. It was an odd request, but she obliged, looking around before texting back that it looked clear. As she sent the message, Chulsoo stepped onto the street, approached her, and wrapped his arms around her in a gentle hug, burying his face in her neck, keeping her back to the street, using her as a shield to any murder attempts, though she had no idea. When she pulled back, clearly surprised by the hug, she gave a small smile. "You're acting strange today..." Her brow furrowed as she noticed the sweat, the worry in his eyes. She moved her fingers to his forehead. "Are you sick?

"I"m fine." He spoke a little too quickly, glancing down the street again. "Lets get something to eat."

That fucker, Haejin thought, huffing as he saw the man keep the girl in the way of a clear shot. Using his woman as a human shield was low. With his initial plan ruined, he quickly disassembled the gun, placing it into the case that sat on the roof and sliding it into the hiding spot he had created behind one of the turbines for the air conditioning. If he couldn't do this remotely, he'd have to get a little more personal. Pulling the black cap he wore off, he ruffled his hair before removing his jacket, black fabric replaced by a more stylish blue. In seconds, he went from a stone-hearted soldier to a simple college student, moving to jump down into the alleyway out of sight before rounding the corner to follow them at a distance. He might have to use the woman to get to Chulsoo, he thought, scoping the area quickly before slipping a pair of headphones over his ears.

As they entered the bakery, she pulled him to the line. Telling him it would be her treat as he clearly asn't feeling well, she ordered for the both of them, paying the cashier before taking their food and leading him to a table that was just in front of the window. The man quickly grabbed her wrist hard enough to bruise and she winced, looking up at him in surprise. "Chulsoo, what's wrong..?"

"I just...don't want to sit here." He shook his head, pulling her toward the back of the bakery. "Let's eat here."

Following after in confusion, she nodded, moving to sit with her back to the door once again, unaware of the situation she was caught in the middle of.

(Totally wanna have a drama moment where she almost falls..? Maybe slips on a wet floor on the way to he bathroom or something? Or on the way out of the bathroom? So Idol can catch ehr and that can totally be their meeting. Chulsoo doesn't see the exchange. XD)

((The start of a beautiful and twisted friendship. I love it already. XDD))

Stepping into the cafe, he shivered a little as the warm air washed over him in the wake of the chill outside. Watching the last of the exchange between the couple, he kept them in his periphery as he ordered a coffee, taking a seat at a table between theirs and the opposite corner of the bakery, where he could keep the dining room in his line of sight.

As they ate and chatted, she could see he wasn't paying much attention, he was distracted. she asked him several times what was wrong but he wouldn't give her an answer. Getting frustrated, she told him she was going to the restroom. Standing and making her way there, she stepped aorund a wet floor sign and into the restroom. AFter finishing, she stepped back out into the hallway. Her foot slid into a puddle, slipping out from under her and she found herself falling toward the ground, eyes closing tightly as she waited for the pain of hitting the ground.

He couldn't keep from noticing her once again as she passed by, appreciating her form before going back to his observations. Just as he had xecided to regroup, standing to leave, the woman passed by again, losing her footing just in front of him. He shot forward, using the water to slide quickly to her and winding an arm around her back to keep her from hitting the ground. The movement brought them much closer than he expected, having to firce himself to remember the right dialect as he asked, "Are...are you okay?"

AS she felt an arm slip around her back, strong hand on the small of her back, she opened her eyes, one hand on his chest to steady herself as she found herself face to face with quite possibly the most attractive man she'd ever seen. Her brow furrowed, unsure how to react, what to say. This was straightout of a drama...what the hell was going on? He hadn't been anywhere near her before...Where had he come from? Who was this man..? Her eyes locked on his, finding herself unable to look away for a moment, a moment far longer than necessary before she managed to find her voice. "I'm...I'm fine." His voice was strange...an accent she couldn't quite place... "Wh-who...?"

Realizing that he was still holding her after several seconds, he set her on her feet with a nervous chuckle. "S-sorry. It was lucky that I was standing here." He added, offering a shy smile. An awkward young college studebt was his cover, he remembered. In the presence of someone so pretty, it was easy to be as self-conscious and unsure as he needed to be.

"You...weren't standing here." She frowned slightly, watching him. He was shy...? Something told her he wasn't as shy as he acted. It just didn't seem...he was the shy type. Embarrassed, yes. Nervous, yes. But shy...? Shy was just odd on such a beautiful face. As he set her on her feet, she shifted a little, giving a soft curse as she realized her pants were wet from the water on the ground. She looked up at him again, cheeks a pale pink. "But thank you, either way. You saved me from a nasty head-bump, or worse, I"m sure."

"I uh...slid a little on the water. It probably felt cooler than it looked." He laughed again, brushing his hair back from his face with a smile. "I'm glad you're okay, miss. That could have hurt a lot." Why was talking to a woman so difficult? She was a person, the same as any of the soldiers he had grown up with, it any of the men he had met since he arrived in this godforsaken country. But her voice, the way she blushed...it was breathtaking.

"It felt cooler," she repeated, a soft laugh leaving her. For a moment, her gaze moved to Chulsoo sitting across the restaurant. He was too focused on the street outside to even notice her in the arms of some other man. Some man that was...putting it bluntly, much more attractive and closer to her age. She looked up at the younger man again and gave a small smile. "I'm a little clumsy. Stuff like this happens to me all the time. I would have lived, but you're right. It would have hurt like hell." With another laugh, she lifted her hand, pushing her hair back from her face. "Thank you, again. I'm glad I won't have another trip to the hospital in the near future." As she straightened, pulling her shirt to flatten the new wrinkles from where he'd held her, she looked up at him again. "I'm Somin. Park Somin."

"Another? That's...pretty clumsy." He blurted before he could stop himself, giving a small bow at her introduction. "Lee Haejin." Every movement she made was fascinating. He had to regroup and focus or soon every woman in the country would distract him, he thought sharply. But in the wake of her attention, he found he couldn't do anything but return it. "It's...a pleasure to meet you."

"Another." She nodded, giving a soft laugh. "I said I was clumsy. I meant it." Haejin... It was odd, the name wasn't one she heard often. "It's nice to meet you, too, Lee Haejin-si." She smiled slightly, eyes on his for a moment longer before giving a small bow of her own. "Is this your first time here? You seem a little lost."

"I..not alloweded here a few days ago. I don't know the city at all; I was trying to find my way home and I got...even more lost than I expected." He rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous laugh. "I decided to regroup with a cup of coffee before trying again."

"Oh...I just meant the cafe. You seem new to the cafe. You just moved here?" She looked up at him in surprise. He seemed like a city boy. Like he was perfectly at home here in Seoul. As she heard that he was lost, she couldn't hold back a small smile. Her gaze moved toward Chulsoo who now saw her talking to the man. He didn't seem happy...and almost immediately, he stood and walked out of the restaurant. Great...she'd have to deal with that later.... "Do you need directions home? I could show you how to get back."

"I've never been in this neighborhood before. But I like this cafe--I hope I can remember where it is for the next time." At the last, he nodded, smile gaining strength before he followed her gaze. It seemed the man was the jealous type. Perhaps if he weren't so paranoid, he wouldn't have so much to worry about... "I'd like that. But do you...need to go after him? I don't want to cause any trouble between you and your date."

Raising a brow, knowing she'd only seen him since he caught her, she couldn't hold back a small smile. "i never said i had a date. How do you know i do? Were you watching me, Mr. Lee?" He was cute. Slightly awkward, nervous. It was like he'd never talked with a woman before. How odd... Especially with his looks.
