The Alley
NoWealthNoRuin
Much less intricate than the Rabbit Hole's labyrinth, just a small series of back roads behind the Shooting Star and the other businesses on the block.

"I'm barely getting four hours a week at my job, and I'm probably going to have to find a new one after those jerks scared me out." She blurted without thinking, feeling once again like prey under that piercing gaze. If he was so powerful, he could definitely make her life hell. And it seemed he was intent on doing so, anyway. "...Why are you doing this?" She asked at last, brushing her hair out of her face. "I don't even know who you are."

With a grin, he straigtened. "I'm Choi Youngdo. My father is President Choi...the owner of Hotel Zeus." He smirked, watching the girl closely. "And I told you why I'm doig this. Because I want to play with you now."

"Choi--" She broke off, realizing that this wasn't a mobster at all...but an entitled man, far too used to getting his way. Her jaw set for a moment, knowing that anything she said might end in an even deeper debt than she had to pay, she wondered if fearing for her life was any better or worse than fearing a lawsuit that would end with her on the streets and in just as much danger. "...Out of the frying pan, into the fire." She mumbled without thinking, letting out a slow sigh. "What...what do I have to do to pay you back? When my debt's cleared, we'll be even, is that it?"

He chuckled at her words, nodding slightly. "Sure. Let's say your debt is cleared, we'll be even money-wise. But you'll still be my toy." He grinned a bit wider. "Why don't you go back to school? You have plenty of time to pay it back now. I'll even get you enrolled at Jeguk, it's a school that will put you on the map pretty much anywhere to get a job after you graduate."

"A working drop-out? If I went to school at a place like that, the students would make my life hell. Not counting you." She shook her head without thinking, knowing that she would have to start her senior year over again to finish it out. "And what would being your toy mean, anyway? I just happened to walk into the same convenience store you were eating in. Why focus on me? I'm nothing to you. To anyone."

"I jut told you, I'd be the only perons that gets to mess with you. I practically own that school...no one would make your life hell but me." He smirked. "You're really getting more out of this deal than I am." As she sked what it would mean, he gave a soft hum. "It would mean I call you, you answer. I tell you to go somewhere, do something, you listen. You'd basically become...my slave."

"So you're saying that your plan is to get me to go to school so that you can bother me all you like. Then I could get a part-time job and slowly pay you back, giving you plenty of opportunity to order me around for your entertainment, is that it?" It seemed any plan other than that would likely end in nothing short of bankruptcy. At the very least she could get an opportunity to graduate with a school decent enough to give her a chance to follow a dream rather than a necessity... "I...don't really have a choice, do I?"

"now you're getting it." He clapped, smirking down at her. "At least my way you won't be afraid of dying." With a wider smirk, he gathered his keys. "Go to Jeguk High tomorrow.. If you don't fill out the entrance paperwork, I'll leave class and come find you.. And you really don't want me to have you look... Trust me."

"How will you know?" She knew she shouldn't have asked, knowing there was a chance that she could go and check the place out and leave without filling anything out, but the chance that he might undo the deal he had just done with the men she owed was too great.

With a grin, he stopped just as he reached his motorcycle, helmet in hand. After a moment, he climbed on, watching her closely. "I know the chairmans son. Personally."

"Of course." The motorcycle seemed to be the icing on the cake. Rich, good-looking, he had the power to make sure no one ever did anything but give him his way. And he absolutely took advantage of it. Sighing, she ran her fingers through her hair, made messy by the hood she had worn. "Fine. Tomorrow I enroll at Jeguk. And you get someone new to play with. But don't expect me to do it with a smile, Choi-ssi."

With a wider grin at her words, he nodded. "Id be disappointed if you did. It's no fun if you're enjoying yourself." With a chuckle, he kicked his bike off the ground, starting it with a rumble. "I'll see you tomorrow, Lee Mirae."

She couldn't stop herself from rolling her eyes at his comment, biting her tongue to keep any sharper comments from making her situation any worse. She had no idea if this was preferable to the situation she'd been in that morning, but it seemed this was a little less of a permanent problem. At least, she hoped it wasn't a permanent problem. At least now she could go home without fearing that she wouldn't wake up.

((Got it covered. xD))

The paperwork was simple to fill out, Mirae found, huffing softly as she filed the last of what she needed in the school's main office. But it would probably be weeks before she could make enough money to purchase her own uniform. Why they had something designed by some famous ex-student that she had no clue of as a standard for each and every student was beyond her. She had been fired just that morning for running out of her job, and she hoped she would have time that afternoon to start putting out applications. Pulling at the hem of her nicest shirt, she sighed, making her way to a bench in an internal courtyard to gather her wits. She'd already gotten a few sidelong glances and whispers from a few students passing by, she noticed, hair falling into her face as she tried to calm her jittery nerves. Hopefully once she was able to blend in she would be quickly forgotten.

Youngdo had waited for the news, patient-- or as patient as he could be-- to know when his new toy would be applying. When he heard that she'd filled out the paperwork and was to be enrolled only when she could pay the tuition, he handed over the fees with ease. If she wanted a uniform, that was on her, but he'd take care of her education fees...it just added onto her debt to him. He had heard the rumors all around the school that there was a new student, pretty, but clearly one of the Social Care Group students, one of those that got into the school through grades and not money. There were few..and life at Jeguk was hell for them. He could barely contain his excitement and, skipping his first class, he made his way aroundt he school, searching classroom by classroom until he frowned when he couldn't find the girl. On his way out, wondering ifshe'd left for the day already, he stepped into the courtyard, finding her sitting alone on a bench, clearly tense, stressed...was his toy already so stressed? With a grin, he approached her. "...Well done. You followed your first instruction well."

"Oh no..." She couldn't stop the response, looking up to him through her hair. Frowning at the obvious glee in his face, she sighed. "I'm enrolled now. When I find a job, I'll be able to start paying them back, paying you back, and paying for a uniform." It would likely take several months...between school and homework.

"Don't forget about interest." He chuckled, watching her closely. After amoment, he moved to sit on the bench next to her, a bit too close to her. "News about you transferring in has already spread all over the place. Everyone knows who you are. Isn't it fun? You get to be the center of attention for a while."

"Interest. Of course." Her voice flattened a little at the thought of her payment time being all but doubled. As he sat, she raised an eyebrow, moving just a little to put some space between them. "I just want to keep my head down and pay my debts, Choi-si. Being the center of attention is the last thing on my mind..."
