He tilted his head at her reaction, raising a brow as his hair fell from it's place once more to rest on his forehead. After a moment, he felt a slow smile spread over his lips as he heard her voice, saw her touch the wall. He straightened once more and he hummed softly before speaking, voice a deep, rough purr. "I'm Bang Yongguk."

Her shaking increased, shivering at the change in his voice. Oh shit. She had jumped out of the frying pan and into a volcano, she thought, trying and failing to figure out a way to get through this without ending up at the bottom of the river. "A-are...are you going to...t-to kill me?" She asked, eyes never moving from his. Even if she could get past him, she couldn't get far in her current state.

Raising a brow, he tilted his head, watching her closely before taking a small step forward. "Do I look like I"m going to kill you? Have I acted at all like I want to kill you? Didnt I save you a few moments ago?"

"I...I don't know. You could want to kill me yourself. Or you could want to try to get your money out of me somehow...threaten me or beat me..." She still didn't think he would go as far as the other men were planning to. As he moved forward, she shrank back a little further against the wall, unsure of what to expect. "You have no reason to be nice to me. Not without it benefiting you."

"If my men couldn't get my money out of you why should I think you have it to give me now?" He stepped closer until he was, once again, towering over her. After a moment, he reached out, fingers brushing through her hair gently to push it out of her face before pulling a leaf from the soft locks. "Do you see me as such a terrible monster? You don't know me...."

Feeling her heartbeat jump at the shift, at the startlingly gentle touch, she thought his question over carefully. "I...I don't know you, no..." She managed after a long moment. "But I...don't know what to expect. Those men were after me because I owe you twice as much money as I borrowed from you."

NOdding, he thought her words over. "Those men are after you because they handle my collections, yes. Do you really think I'd stoop so low as to handle collections myself? Why would I want to bloody my hands on a little girl that only owes me money. I'd have someone else do it before I'd ever do it myself. So don't shake so much. At least for now, you're safe."

"I'm still afraid, but most of this is adrenaline." She gave a nervous chuckle, shaking her head. "Like I said, I don't know what to expect. You're the last person I expected to run into after all of that." Shifting a little, she winced with a small, pained sound as her bruising ribs protested the movement.

"I didn't really expect to run into someone...fascinating either." As he saw her shift, seeing the wince, he frowned. "Are you hurt?"

"Fascinating? Do you usually not meet the people that owe you money?" She asked with a nervous laugh, hand moving to her ribs. "They...they got me pretty good before I managed to run. I think it's just bruises, I'll be okay."

"I don't work withthem, no. I have my own men to do that. I haev more important things to take care of." Watching her hand move, he frowned slightly. After amoment, he moved a little closer, hand moving to push hers away before replacing it to feel the shape of her ribs. His eyes focused on his hand rather than how close they now were. "How much longer do you have to pay back the money?" His men tended to jump early when a pretty girl was involved.

"So running into me was an accident." She concluded, biting her lip to stifle a sound at the twinge the touch brought. She was surprised by the contact, focusing on the warmth of his hand for a moment. "A week...I started a second job a few days ago to help me get it together faster...I was on my way there when they jumped me." Then, as an afterthought, she added, "I'll get it back to you." Though between her savings and the paychecks she was expecting, she would only have enough to cover one debt...not both.

"It was an accident. I was just finishing up a job down the street and saw you hiding." He frowned, figners gently pressing against her ribs. It was a little more than bruised. And he was livid that his men started early...again. There would be no forgiving this time. He'd discussed this with them twice before...now they were going to end up at the bottom of the river. "A week. You must have been shocked when they found you." With a soft sigh, he looked up at her, meeting her gaze as his fingers remained on her side. "They won't bother you again...as long as you're on time. I'll be sure. But because of this, because of their early start I"m giving you another two months to pay it out. Quit your second job. You only need the one. The second one will put too much strain on you and your ribs wont heal. They're cracked."

Meeting his eyes, the shock and disbelief was clear on her face. For a moment she wondered if he was tricking her, but he had been honest with her so far. "Two...two months?" She asked, a startled and relieved smile pulling at her lips. "I...thank you so much, Bang-si, I'll pay you back on time, I promise. I don't know how to thank you for this, and for saving my life..." She was sure that he had something to ask of her for such kindness, after all. She had heard stories of the ruthless man that ran the city's underground.

he frowned. "You're worried, I can see that. Worrid i"m lying. But here's the thing, in my line of work if someone can't trust me to be honest with my deadlines, how can they trust me that my money is good? How can they trust me to do what I do? I take their jumping early very seriously and they will all be severely punished. You can rest assured not a single one of my men will come near you unless you don't meet this new deadline. Rest for a couple of days, I'll be sure your work is aware of your vacation, it will be paid. And then you can have my money in two months. Is that fair enough for the trouble you've gone through today?" His hand was still on her ribs, unaware of the nearness, focused on putting right the wrong that had been done. He may be a killer, he may be a terrible person..but he was still honest. "I mean every word. Where would the fun be in a lie?"

He seemed to be honestly offended that his men were behind this, she thought in passing. "You're...really offended that they might be giving you a bad name, aren't you?" She asked without thinking, nearly surprised by the mention of being given a chance to rest with pay. Of course, she thought, if she took a pay cut that wouldn't be good for the money she needed to earn to pay him back. "That's...more than fair. It's incredible--I didn't think...that you would be so generous." After all, even with her original deadline she wouldn't have been able to pay back the full debt. She had only learned of her brother skipping town a few days before.

"My name isn't the best as it is, dear. But if I can't be trusted how can I be in this line of work?" He shifted, stepping just a little closer, looking down at her. After a moment, he moved his fingers into his back pocket, pulling out a card. He slipped it into her pocket, eyes meeting hers and practically glittering in the moonlight. "This is my cell phone number. If my men come after you again before your time is up, I want you to call me. IF your work gives you trouble or cuts your pay due to this, I want you to call me. When you're ready to pay me back, I want you to call me. From here on, you'll be dealing with me directly. Do you understand?" It wasn't a question, he made it very very clear that it wasn't a question...the dominant, possessive voice coming out before he could stop himself. She was his new little...pet. She was cute, after all.

Her heartbeat raced in a way that had nothing to do with fear, trying very hard to convince herself that this wasn't in the least bit attractive. Not even a little. She had always been a bad liar. "Y-yes, sir." She said at last, feeling is if his eyes were piercing right through her. She ran her tongue over her lips again, resisting the urge to fidget under his gaze. "I understand."

Tilting his head, he raised a brow, unable to hold back a small, sly smile. "Are you afraid of me..? Or is this...something else that's making you look so...concerned?"

A light flush rising to her cheeks, she shook her head. "I...I just don't know what to expect. This whole night has been...pretty crazy."
