"Anything to get my shirt off again, is it?" He smiled, looking up at her. "If she's insisting, you really should call her eomma. She'd love that." He smiled softly, fingers moving over his bowl. "You don't have to worry about me, you know. I got shot, it's bound to hurt some."

"You refused to go to a real doctor, remember? I just want to make sure I'm helping you more than hurting you." She reminded him with a soft laugh. "Before you, I'd never dealt with anything more serious than a dog tearing its stitches after getting fixed."

"I hate doctors. But I still think you just want to see me without a shirt again. You couldn'ts top staring before." Flashing her a wink, he smiled again. "So...I really scared you, didn't I?"

"You have a nice body, I'll admit." She felt her face heat at the admission--and doubly so at the wink--taking another bite from her bowl. "You terrified me. Until you woke up and tried to stop me...I was so scared that it was worse than it looked. And it looked pretty bad." She admitted, remembering just how he had looked when he had collapsed into her doorway, unable to fight a shiver.

"Nice? Just nice? Kittens are nice..." He laughed softly, watching her closely. "You're blushing. Is talking about my body something to be embarrassed about for you?" With another soft laugh, he raised a brow. "I tried to stop you?" As she shivered, as he saw the fear cross her face again, he frowned slightly. "...I wont' do that to you again. You know that, right?"

"It's...I'd never seen a man with his shirt off before. Not in person." She admitted quickly, seeing his concern at the last and giving him a softer smile as she forced herself to relax. "You grabbed onto my arm pretty hard when I tried to pull the bullet out. You were barely conscious...but you still had a strong grip. I'm still surprised." She admitted, standing to move into the kitchen once again. Pouring a glass of water for the both of them, she returned to set one before him. "You won't what? Scare me like that, or come to me if you're on death's doorstep?" She half-teased, wanting to push her worry out of her mind.

"Never?!" He ws unable to hide his shock at her words. "You're a beautiful woman. How have you never--" cutting off as he realized what he said, he cleared his throat and looked down at his bowl. "I wont scare you like that again. I'll be...more careful." Clearing his throat, he took another bite.

"I'm...I'm what?" Her face burned, resuming her seat and looking over to him in shock. Her heartbeat picked up at his words, hair falling into her face as she ducked her head. "You'd, uh...be the first to say anything like that. Is it that surprising that I've never seen anything like that? I've spent all of my time working since I moved here. Doesn't leave much time for dating."

"I just..find it surprising you've nevver had a serious boyfriend, never...been with a man, that's all." He flushed as well, taking a drink of water to try to calm his nerves. "I'm sorry...I'm talking too much, aren't I?"

"I'm not sure what's so surprising. I mean, I've seen the women my age that have grown up here. They're stunning." She laughed softly, shaking her head. At the last, her smile gained a little strength. "Don't worry so much, Yongguk-si. If you were offending me, I'd say so. It's...interesting to see you get flustered. You're normally so confident."

His cheeks flushed darker and he cleared his throat, shaking his head. "I'm not flustered. I just...don't usually talk about things like this, that's all." She'd seen the women, but she didn't see how stunning she was? He cleared his throat. "For the record...I'm not sure I've seen anyone more stunning than you."

Stammering for a moment, her flush returned full-force, hair falling into her face once again as her eyes moved to the bowl in her lap. "I, uh...I don't...um...thank you." She said at last, not believing that after all that he had seen and done, she was the most stunning person he had seen. But the way he said that made her heart race all the same. "Even though all you've seen of me was after I got into that fight...or I'm tired and look like hell from working?" She added, half-joking with a soft laugh.

"When you look like hell from working, I think you're the prettiest." He laughed softly, giving a small shrug. "I mean, you look...good when you're relaxed. It's...I don't know, hard to explain."

"I could say the same for you." She admitted, trying to find her footing in a conversation that was growing more embarrassing by the minute. "I mean, I hate that you got hurt, but...this sort of vacation it's forced you into has been...good for you, I think. When you're relaxing, when you're smiling, being yourself instead of the boss or the one enforcing rules someone's broken...it's a good look for you."

"But I'm good looking when I"m a boss, too, right?" He grinned, flashing her a wink before taking another bite. "I didn't get hurt too badly, you know. It was just a little gunshot." With another soft laugh, he smiled up at her. "But...I'm glad I can relax around you."

"You are." She chuckled, figuring she could be honest in the wake of his compliments. Then, mouth falling open in shock at the last, she stammered before adding,"Just...just a little...you've had worse than that?"

He raised a brow at her surprise. After a moment, he smirked, setting the bowl aside and unbuttoning his shirt to leave it open and revealing the expanse of his chest and stomach. He gestured to several scars on his lower abdomen and one on his shoulder. "Stabs, gunshots, burns. I've been in much worse situations than falling on your doorstep, bleeding."

"These were all worse?" She let her eyes move over the scars she had seen several times during his stay, standing before she could stop herself and reaching out to brush her fingers lightly over one of the larger scars on his stomach. "Didn't you say you were the careful one?" She added with a small smile, unaware of how close her investigation brought them.

As he felt her fingers on his skin, he froze. It had been a very long time since anyone had touched him like this, like any way honestly. But this was.... Different.. When he spoke, his voice was soft. "I am careful. But even being careful, in my line of work, things happen. I've nearly died a few times, actually..."

"You nearly died..." She mumbled, frowning slightly as her fingers moved from one mark to another that spread a little higher up. "You're really lucky...don't you ever worry about what would happen if your luck ran out?" She can't hide a flash of worry, eyes still on the marks littering his tattooed skin.
