"I insist. In fact..from now on, if you're going to cook for me, I"m going to clean for you. Alright?" She smiled, finishing her cleaning before setting the dishes in thes trainer and turning back to look up at him. "...Do you want me to leave now?"

"I...um, deal." He knew that arguing wouldn't do much, despite the fact that he was too accustomed to cooking, cleaning, and living alone. The change was...oddly refreshing. At the last, he shook his head. "I...you don't have to, if you don't want to. I was just...procrastinating." He admitted, knowing there was a pile of paperwork on his desk no less than a foot tall that needed sorting. The lady that headed his accounting department was out on maternity leave, and with an outbreak of the flu around the department, he didn't want the burden to be divided among the already overworked remainder of the team. So when no one was looking, he simply took the stack with the intention of inputting and filing it himself.

She tilted her head at his words, raising a brow before smiling softly. "Do you need help? Are you just working?" Before he could answer, she stepped past him to head toward his desk, already eyeing the stack. "What's all this?"

Stammering a moment before following after her, he looked over the stack. "It's...expenses from last month for the whole company. My accounting department is...short-staffed right now. I thought I would help out."

She looked back at him with a wide smile before moving her fingers over the edge of his desk. "Cam I help? I have nothing better to do..."

"I mean...it might go faster that way." He thought it over, deciding that if she was going to apply anyway, it wouldn't do any harm as long as he was able to oversee her work. Explaining to her what needed to be done to input the information into the computer, he split the pile down the middle and offered her a laptop that he kept on hand.

Smiling, she took the papers and the computer with ease, moving to his couch to shuffle through them and follow his instructions. After a few minutes, she looked up at him. "Do you want a drink or something? Since you can't ask her, I can send Ms. Kim to get you something..."

"I keep drinks in the fridge, if you'd like one. I...don't want to send her on too much." He gave a soft, nervous chuckle as he pulled his hood down for a moment, ruffling damp hair before pulling it back up. "Water, juice, soda...it's well-stocked."

She glanced back at him, just long enough to see him pull his hood down. Her cheeks flushed, realizing how attractive he really was. She hadn't really seen much of a good view of him before..Her flush darkened a bit more and she looked back at the paperwork. "You really are...the nicest boss I've ever seen."

"Nicest? Why do you say that?" He asked, feeling his face heat as he found that speaking to her was a little easier when he had something for his hands to do. Typing what he saw on one page into the spreadsheet before him, he glanced up to her, bangs falling into his eyes.

"You just...I mean you take care of your employees, even if they don't see you. You don't want to ask your secretary for anything despite it literally being her job. You let a stranger take your hat when it started to raina nd, even being as terrified as you are to speak up, you intended to defend that stranger from her own family...who wasn't really lying about what they said to her. The insults had burned, she'd been called so many bad things by her family...it was even more embarrassing that this man had heard, knew she was a bastard, her mother was the mistress of a fairly rich man...and she was trapped in hat household with a family that hated her...he knew it all. "You're just...very kind."

"I...didn't consider any of that being kind." He admitted, ducking his head a little as he listened. "As for your family...I don't know what came over me. But I'm not sorry for it. Blood shouldn't make who a person is...their actions, how they treat people...that's what matters."

"It was all kind, whether you think of it that way or not.." she smiled, working on her next paper. As she heard the last, she laughed weakly, shaking her head. "You don't understand rich families, do you? And not being what they want... it's completely normal for things like this to happen..."

"It's normal, but it's not right." He shook his head, recalling his father's harsh words, praising his best friend, the man his family all but adopted, and putting him down as a failure, as the ruin of the company. "Rich families...no one benefits from the way they function. Not the illegitimate children...or the legitimate ones..."

Hearing his words, she froze. Something in his voice sounded...distant, hurt. She looked up from her work to see him, frowning. "Maybe you know a bit more about it Thani expected..."

"A bit more." He nodded with a smile that did little to hide the pain the memory brought up. His eyes were trained on the screen, not wanting to see how she would react to the discovery.

Watching him closely for a moment, she hummed softly before climbing to her feet and making her way to thr door. After speaking in hushed tones to the secretary outside, she shut the door again and turned back to him, smiling innocently.

Raising an eyebrow at the movement, he wondered if she had asked for a drink after all, he asked, "Do you need anything?" His fingers never paused their work, accustomed to the tedium of paperwork.

"I think we both do." After a moment there wasa light knock at the door. Smiling a bit wider, she took two bottles of souju from the secretary and offered a bright smile, thanking her and watching the woman bow out of thankfulness instead of fear. She shut the door and held the bottles up. "I doubt you have these in here."

"...Isn't it a little early to drink?" He asked, a soft, surprised laugh on his lips as he saw her holding up her prize.
