The Quarry
NoWealthNoRuin HK's Territory
Once used for mining limestone in days long past, it's now a place frequented by Hakyeon's rougher "brothers" for interrogation purposes.

Kim Jaerim stood at the top of the quarry, camera held to his eye as he snapped several shots of the area. The trees surrounding the cliffs, the water pooling in the basin from the recent rains, every winding path that led from the edge of the stone down to the very bottom. To any odd passerby he was simply a young man, maybe a student, taking in the details of a quiet, peaceful site. What he was truly doing was mapping out the area to ensure that he knew every way in and out. This was a common place for the grunts in the local gang families to conduct business or dump the aftermath of their rough investigations for the "cleaners" to find and dispose of. He was honestly surprised he didn't come across any of the victims of this week. His father's latest orders sat in the back of his mind as he stared across the trees to his side, snapping another picture. He would be prepared, he was sure. There was no reason for this to go off without a hitch.

(I'm thinking this girl is someone his dad wanted to bang, that rejected him and maybe managed to run off with some information that the guy wants back. So...killer kim has to get the information that she stole before he kills her, which means he has to get up close to her instead of shooting from far away, maybe threaten her with a knife, give her a chance to acually try to talk to him which will confuse the hell out of him. Maybe Killer Kim's adoption papers/real identity is what she took. So he can find out later that he was kidnapped from his real dad by the guy that "adopted" him later.. xD Either that...or he can take out his one target here, she sees it, and so now he's gotta figure out who she is and kill her before she tells anyone what she saw. Which do you think?)

((Honestly your first idea sound the most fun. Because he's got his orders but also his whole life is a lie so what the fuck is he supposed to do when the person giving him orders is also the person who robbed him of a normal life/any happiness at all? And she can teach him how to human because he likely won't know how to deal with his emotions other than anger and murderous intent. XD))

(Works for me. So maybe she's on her way to give the information over to someone who can use it, hoping that'll keep her alive...but the people she's supposed to hand it over to, maybe Kim has already killed them? Also..she can't fight. But i'm thinking at one point when she's trying to get away from him, she manages to hit him and he can get mad and she can get surprised. XD)

Shit. Shit. Fuck. Shit. Those were the only words she could think as she made her way down to the Quarry to meet up with Daehwan. She'd found some file, something she didnt even know what was, in an effort to escape the sexual and then murderous advances of Moon Ilsuk. The man had been desperate for her attention, for her, for years now...but this last time she'd turned him down, the man had tried to kill her. He'd managed to stab her, actually...but the hospital staff wouldn't believe her. So now, almost a week later, Kim MinJun found herself on the run from the police, from the man and his thugs, and now from some killer she'd been told was sent her way. A professional assassin. He'd hired a professional assassin. The only way to end this, to get her life back, would be to turn that file over to someone who could bring him down. Someone who could stop the man before anyone else had to die.

((That would make sense. So he's scouting the area, making sure that he's there to head off the drop. XD And we can give him the "you made me bleed you bitch" reaction. XD))

He heard the footsteps approaching before he saw the newcomer approaching. Kim Minjun was who he was looking for...he was honestly surprised that she would come in person. An experienced criminal would send someone in her place to give the information she held. The people she was supposed to meet were already taken care of, likely settling to the bottom of the water gathered in the quarry's base as he took another picture of the trees in the distance. He was getting some pretty great shots, he thought distantly. Maybe he could sell one or two to a magazine for a little extra money. As the figure approached, he seemed not to notice, bending to take a drink from the water bottle sitting in his camera bag.

(XDD and then later when they're actually getting along, he can mention her having made him bleed... XD)

As her eyes scanned the area, searching for the man, the very creepy man actually, she realized the place was empty. At least, Daehwan and his men weren't around... Had she been stood up..? Did they not believe that she had important information...? Did they just want to let her die...? She shivered, tightening her jacket around herself, glancing back over her shoulder, half expecting that assassin to be there, she'd been glancing over her shoulder for two days since she'd been told the person was after her. She didnt' know age, height, appearance, she didn't even know if it was a man or a woman that was coming for her...but she knew they were after her. That much she was sure of. As she turned her attention back in front of her, she stopped walking as she saw a man sitting at the edge of the quarry, holding a camera and taking a drink. He was only about five yards away...and she didn't recognize him. A student, maybe? Takiing picutres of the quarry. He seemed innocent enough...but his eyes... Her thoughts trailed off as realized she'd made a startled sound that had likely gained his attention. She gave a small bow in greeting, but didn't say a work, too afraid her voice would shake if she tried to speak. After all...she still felt like someone was after her, even then.

((When he starts feeling things other than boredom and murder. XD))

At the sound, he raised an eyebrow, glancing over to her and studying her for a moment. That was his mark, no doubt about it. He bowed in return, the act natural, his expression never changing as he replaced the bottle and held the camera up to study the shots he had taken. Things would be much neater if she didn't expect the attack, he knew. He would wait until she had her back turned, when she thought she was safe...perhaps when she turned around and started back toward the city when her informant wouldn't show up. A clean, easy job. He wondered if his father had expected this to be so simple when he set the task.

(Yyyep. XD and she can be like holy shit I made you bleed??????)

Glad when the man turned back toward the camera, studying hte images he'd already captured. As she looked up at him, watched him almot as if she expected him to attack her at any moment, she wondered where Daehwan could be... She was smart enough to leave the files in a hidden place...anyone that was sent after her, to kill her, wouldn't be able to until those were found...but she'd had to make sure Daehwan would use them and the use would protect her, too. But he was already ten minutes late. As several more minutes passed, she realized the man wasn't going to come. Glancing back at the man, she wondered if she should say goodbye before she left or if she should leave him to his work. Deciding on the latter, she took a small step back, still facing him for a few feet before she turned, putting her back to him to leave. She was being watched..but by who? who was after her...?

Seeing her turn, he watched her before setting the camera into the bag, pulling a knife from his boot as he straightened. As silently as he could, he approached her, moving quickly to catch up to her before she got within shouting distance of anyone that could pass by.

Unaware that the man approached her, she slipped into a small path between two darkened buildings, keeping to the shadows in an effort to lose whoever it was was after her. She didn't hear the knife, didn't hear the man...but the sense that someone was just behind her was enough to make her walk a little quicker until she was covered in shadows.

It only took a few steps before he pulled her back against his chest, arm winding around hers to prevent her from fighting as the other pressed the knife to her neck. "Where is the file." He spoke lowly, bending a little to make sure she heard him clearly. "Don't scream. This will be over quickly if you make this easy."

As she felt his arm, as she heard his voice, she nearly let out a scream before she felt the knife. Tensing, hearing his words, she felt the blade bite into her skin, blood slipping down her neck just slightly. "W-who...who are you?" The man was behind her...if she could just turn, if she could face him...maye she could gather her thoughts, maybe she could get out of this.

"Where is the file?" He asked again, digging the blade just a little deeper to punctuate his point. She shouldn't make it difficult, he thought, not wanting to kill her before she could give him the location of the papers he needed. It would be too much trouble to search.

As she felt the knife again, she gave a soft hiss, tilting her head just slightly in an effort to get away from the knife. As she felt his words against her ear, she was certain the panic that raced through her meant this was the end...She tried to see behind her, but she couldn't turn enough. Instead, she spoke again, voice trembling. "...w-w-wait. Wait a moment. I...I'll tell you. Just...just let me..let me turn around."

"Don't run." He didn't need to threaten her, knowing the promise was in the blade. Slowly, he released her, knife still poised. He fully expected her to bolt. A part of him wanted her to, just for the excitement of having to give chase. his last several appointments were entirely too simple.

She nodded slowly, feeling herself able to breathe as he released her. She turned slowly, body shaking in fear as she finally faced the boy she'd seen earlier. It was him...? The photographer...? As her eyes met his, a killer's eyes she now saw, she felt her breath catch. She took a small step back, feeling her back hit the wall. "...who are you...?" Her voice trembled as much as her body did, her hair fell in her face, blood dripped down her neck.

He remained silent, studying her as she studied him. She was afraid. Thinking quickly, trying to find a way out. He was sure that she was trying to find a way to distract him. For a moment he was mesmerized by the sight of fresh blood against her pale skin...his eyes moved to the wound at her neck before moving back to hers. "It doesn't matter. Where is the file? I won't ask again."

"What, I'm about to die and I can't even know the name of my killer?" She still watched him, thinking of something, anything she could do. She'd taken some self defense classes..but this man was a trained killer. If she made any kind of break for it, she'd have to do it at the exact right moment, or she'd be dead anyway... "Tell me you at least know my name. If you're going to kill me, you should at least know who I am, right?"

He frowned at the question, shaking his head slightly before forcing his expression back into neutrality. "What does it matter? I know your name, Kim Minjun." She was trying to find a way out, he could tell. This was the most talkative any of his marks had gotten, but he was having a hard time letting the words fade to the back of his mind. Where most were simple animal noises in the wake of his work, this was...harder to ignore.

"So you know my name.." She nodded slowly. "Do you know my age? Who I am? What I do? Do you know why you're after me or what's in the files you're looking for? Do you know why you're supposed to kill me...why I can't survive? Did you even care to find out? Or are you just a mindless killer...?" As she watched him, she knew she should stop talking, find a way out....shit. "Are you still not going to tell me your name? I'm going to die anyway...what's the harm...?"
