"It's great to have a passion." He hadn't found any of his own. But flipping through her sketchbook, he couldn't hide how much her work impressed him. "These are...incredible. Would you...would you be interested in being my consultant? I mean, I know we've just met, but I like your sense of style, and you're...surprisingly easy to talk to. Ah, I'm sorry," He ducked his head, loose hair falling into his face as he gave another nervous laugh. "I, uh...don't have any friends in this country. I'm probably coming off as desperate and strange, aren't I...?"

"Your consultant? IN a moment are you going to ask me to just be your personal designer?" She laughed softly, clearly not believing him. It was all too good to be true. "Did someone put you up to this, ahjussi? Do you work for the Chas? Or the Kims? Look, I'll hold up my end of the deal, alright?" No one could be this innocent, this sweet, this kind to a complete stranger. "You really want me to believe you came from France? You're Korean, Harry Borrison."

"The Chas? The Kims?" He had been away from the country for far too long, he thought. He had no idea who was in power. "I'm sorry, I've...offended you, haven't I? I do come from Korea...I moved to France after my mother was killed." Oh. That still stung more than he wanted to admit. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bother you, miss Zoey."

"The Chas, the Kims..." She trailed off, realizing that he really wasn't sure what she was talking about. So...he really was from France...? She felt her cheeks heat, she was talking too much. "...ah...No. No, you haven't offended me. I'm...I'm sorry, I just...it's just odd. The way you're acting, what you're saying. It really must just be that you're not...you haven't been here in so long." AFter a moment, she heard his words about his mother and she froze. "I'm..so sorry to hear that."

"It was a long time ago." He waved her off with a smile that nearly reached his eyes. He needed to put those thoughts away, he thought firmly. He wasn't Hyungjoon anymore. He was Harry. And he was much better off now than he had been before. "You...sound like you've gotten into some pretty serious debt, miss Zoey. If I can say that without offending you." He said carefully, watching her once again.

She couldn't hold back a small laugh, shaking her head. "It's...not really socially acceptable to point out someones faults or issues, especially someone you don't know well." As the sun began to set, she gave a soft sigh, starting to gather her things to go home. She'd only sold two things...and she was barely feeding herself as it was. "And I never said debt." Still, despite her words, her fingers moved tot he wound on her lip and she winced. It really hurt to talk so much.

"I don't mean to say that as a flaw. Just...as something that might need help." He said after a moment. "You said that you had money to pay...and that you would get it to whoever was asking for it." After a moment, watching her gather her things, he pulled a few bills from his wallet and held them out to her. "Designers have a consulting fee, right? You put your time into that sketch, and you should have a down payment so you know that I will come back tomorrow for the scarf." He added with a smile. The way he held the bills, it seemed that a reasonable amount was there, though a much larger bill was folded into the middle. He felt the need to help her, but if she was anything like him, charity was an insult rather than something to be grateful for. But designers in Paris were far more expensive than this...

"I never said anything about money. I said I would hold up my end of the deal." She raised a brow. "You assumed it was money. Do I just look like the poor type, then?" AS he held the bills, she turned back to look up at him, raising a brow. "Ahjussi, I never even gave you a price for the scarf. And I didn't ask for a consulting fee. I don't need charity. and I'm not a professional designer so why would you pay so much?"

"No, of course not." He shook his head. "I've met several designers in Paris that had a fraction of the skill you do that charged five times as much just to talk to them. This is...fair to me." He was telling the whole truth, he knew, hoping that she wouldn't be too distrusting to take it. "For your time, and asking for something that you'll have to custom-make."

She bit her lip before reaching out to take the money from him. Her fingers brushed his gently as she offered a soft thanks, clearly a little uncomfortable with taking the money she clearly felt she hadn't earned. "I'm still not a professional, it feels...odd accepting money just for talking about clothes." After another moment, she shook her head. "Okay. I'll take this, but it'll also be the payment for your scarf tomorrow, alright? Don'tyou dare offer me more money tomorrow, got it?"

"Even if I feel it's worth more?" He asked, confusion on his face. "I guess I can call that fair...consider this payment in advance, then." He added, brightbeing a little at the thought of seeing her again. He had to figure her out...why a part of his mind simply wouldn't leave him alone about her...

"This is plenty for the consult and the scarf, alright? It doesn't take me long to make them at all and you've already paid for the fabric here." she held up the money again. "I won't accept any more money for one scarf." She ducked her head, hair falling in her eyes as she took a deep breath. "I'll see you tomorrow. What time should I expect you...?"

"Any time you like. About noon?" He asked, seeing the way she drew into herself and remembering in a flash the face of the girl that used to try to speak to him through the window of the room he had been kept in after his brother had tried to kill him. His leg stung sharply at the memory, prompting him to shift with a wince.

"Noon....?" She felt like there was somewhwre she had to be. Was she imagining things...? "Noon is fine. I'll make sure it's done before you come." As she glanced back up at him and saw the wince, she leaned forward, hand moving to his arm instinctively. "Are you alright?"

Giving a soft smile at her concern, he nodded. "I'm...I'm sorry. I'm fine, my leg has just been giving me some trouble lately. From time to time it gets a little worse."

"Do you need anything? Do you need any help?" She was still very obviously concerned, hand on his arm. She leaned over the table, unaware of the fact that all the other market booths were packed up and gone, leaving them alone on the street together. "I can take you to the hospital..."

"There's not much they can do. It's been like this since I was young." He shook his head, trying to hide another wince as his leg gave another twinge of pain. "I'll be all right soon, miss Zoey. Thank you."

"But they might have medication for the pain. Or maybe if there's somethig new that's wrong they could help. If you don't go, you can't know that they've done everything they can." She frowned, moving around to his side of the table with a slightly limp of her own. Her ribs were bruised, she was fairly certain her arm had a fracture... she was covered in bruises. "I can help you to your car..."

"You'll be worried unless I go, won't you?" He asked with a soft laugh. "I walked here, unfortunately. I thought the exercise would be good for me." Maybe if he went to the hospital...if she went with him, she might be able to be seen as well. It seemed she could use a little assistance...

Biting her lip at his response, she nodded, glancing around and finally realizing they were alone. Looking up at him, she cleared her throat. "I...I can drive you. My car doesn't look that great, but it works." Offering a weak smile, she nodded. "I'll be worried. Please, let me take you to the hospital."
