A high end bar frequented by most of the city's elite. Many deals, both political and private, are wound to life here. A basement lies below, soundproofed, that holds the base of operations for Hakyeon's "family" and the blood and money they trade.

"Don't...wait for my call." She heard him say the taxi was there and stood a little too quickly. As dizziness swept over her, she leaned against the wall for a moment before taking slow, small steps. She didn't have money for a taxi, but the thought didn't enter her mind, all she cared about was getting out of there.

"Tell them to put the ride on my tab." He led the way through the house, showing her to the door as he found his worry wouldn't leave him alone. Something wasn't right about this...he could tell that this wouldn't be the end of the trouble he had seen tonight.

SHe looked up at him in surprise, realizing she hadn't even thought of money. "...your...your tab? You use this company a lot?"

"I've never used them before." He admitted, shaking his head with a soft smile. "But tell them my name. They know this is where I live--they'll know they'll get their money. If they give you any trouble, have them call me, okay?" He couldn't hide his worry, wishing he could do more.

She nodded slowly, moving toward the door. As she left the house, she climbed into the cab, shivering in the cold. It didn't take longfor her to get home. She lived just on the other side of the railroad tracks in a sense. In the bad neighborhood. When she was dropped, the cab driver asked if she wanted to leave the car running ad she refused. Something she immediately regretted as soon s she walked to her door. Or...what used to be her door. Her house was torn apart, evvery window was shattered, every door was busted down, there was messages written in what looked like blood on the walls...she was terrified. And for a moment, the first thought she had was to contact Daehyun again. But she forgot she had his number. So, instead, she found herself walking in the cold, without a jacket, back to his house. Nearly two hours had passed before she found herself in front of his door, shivering, coughing and a feverish, and she knocked gently on the door.

She had told him not to wait up for her call, he knew, but he had anyway. He kept his phone near him as he showered, cleaned a little more, tried in vain to find something on TV to watch...it was to the point that when he heard the knock, his nerves nearly shot him out of his skin. He was worried and he couldn't pin just why. Something didn't feel right. Standing, he opened the door, surprised to see the very woman he was thinking of on his doorstep. "What are you doing here?" He asked, before seeing her shivering, seeing the feverish tint to her eyes. "It's freezing, come in." He insisted, guiding her inside with a huff. "You'll get sick if you walk out there; what happened? Are you okay? Did those men come back?"

As he guided her inside, she leaned against him heavily. Her body continued to shiver, skin like ice. Her teeth were chattering and her heels were bleeding from the walk. "My....my h-house..." she could barely talk at all. "My...I-I can't..." Sweat beaded across her forehead and she wasn't completely in her right mind when she'd started the walk. She was worse now.

"Were they there? Did they hurt you?" He asked next, frown deepening as he led her back into his bedroom. Pulling the blankets back, he bid her to rest before helping to pull her shoes from her feet, frowning at the sight of her heels. "Stay here, I'll get something to patch you up."

As he started to walk away, she reached out, gripping his hand with icy fingers, unwilling to let him go. She shook her head, shivering in the cold. "N-No. They weren't...weren't there. Not...not when I was." She took a shaky breath. "THey...know where I l-live now..."

"Shit." Meaning his rescue pretty much signed her death warrant. Or it would, if those idiots knew who they were dealing with. "They won't dare hurt you here." He promised her, closing both of his hands around hers. "You're safe. I promise."

"I've been... Hiding for three years. How did they find me?" She shivered, not realizing he assumed it was the men he'd stopped in the alley that had found her. No ..it was much worse than that. It was the men that made her this way... The ones that had tortured her, done unspeakable things to her... Thats who had found her. As she felt his warm hands heating her own, she shifted closer to him as if to take more of his heat.

"It'll be okay. I promise I'll help you all that I can, okay?" He asked, surprised that his worry for her was running so deeply. She was right, he didn't know her...but something about all of this made him want to make sure she didn't have to live this way. "They won't hurt you again."

Hand still holding his tightly, she nodded, hair falling in her face. She shivered after a moment, realzing she was slowly starting to warm up. She coughed, fever spiking a bit higher. "I...walked too far, I think..."

"You could have called the taxi back." He pointed out, rubbing at her fingers gently before moving a hand to pull the blankets over her. The other never released hers, unwilling to pull away when she was so insistent on keeping that contact.

"I...didn't know the number. And I wanted to...to get away fast. And I didn't know where to tell them to go, I just remembered...the direction. And I..I walked." She shivered again, feeling him shift. For a moment, she started to panic, thinking he'd release her before she realized he wasn't letting her go, he was just giving her a blanket. She shifted a little closer to him, eyes on his for a moment. "If they realize I"m here..."

"They'll have hell to pay if they try to get to you." He assured her, straightening the blankets before sitting on the edge of the bed once again. "I won't let them hurt you. You have my word."

"Hell to pay..." she repeated softly, shivering. As he sat next to her, she shuddered, looking up at him again. "I..I'm sorry...I didn't..didn't know where else to go..."

"Don't apologize. I'm happy to help." He shook his head, thumb running over her knuckles. "Do you need anything?" His hair fell into his eyes, still damp from his shower.

SHe shook her head, fingers tightening on his once more. "Just...just not to be alone...?" Hadn't she wanted nothing to do with him...? Hadn't she wanted him to stay as far away from her as possible just a couple of hours before...?

"I can do that." He nodded with a smile that showed his nerves, shifting a little to get comfortable in his seat on the bed. "Do you need a distraction? I could talk about something for so long that you'll be screaming at me to shut up." He half-joked, hoping to lighten her mood a little.
