A high end bar frequented by most of the city's elite. Many deals, both political and private, are wound to life here. A basement lies below, soundproofed, that holds the base of operations for Hakyeon's "family" and the blood and money they trade.

Sujin hated this place. She hated the family she was stuck with, the house she was trapped in, the life she was frozen in. As she walked past a table of drunk business men, she felt one reach out to her and grip her wrist tight, bringing her to a stop. She turned toward him. "Yes?" The man proceeded to make inappropriate comments before gripping her backside hard. She tensed, advising him that she'd return with another bottle, pulling out of his grasp despite his angry protests.

Hearing the man's loud, lewd advances, Daehyun felt a frown pull at his lips, huffing before setting his glass down. Just as the man lurched forward to catch the waitress' attention once again, the smaller man gripped his arm hard. "If the woman says no," He advised, voice showing his annoyance. "That's all the answer you need. Why not leave her alone before you make an ass of yourself."

It only tooka moment for the drunk to attempt a swing at the younger man's jaw. Sujin sighed, shaking her head, about to tell the other not to butt in before she saw the punch aimed at her would-be saviors face.

The punch was sloppy and slow, the slighter man noted, shifting out of the way with ease and delivering a hard blow to the man's temple as he went by. If that didn't knock him out, he knew, it would definitely dissuade him from grabbing at any other waitresses for the evening. the expression on his face betrayed his perfect boredom--not even the bar brawls were enough to keep him entertained.

As the man staggered back, his friends caught him, apologizing to both the older man and Sujin with a deep bow before helping his friend out of the bar with words of going home. As Sujin watched the exchange, she raised a brow and, when the man left, she moved back toward the bar without a word, shaking her head.

"I'm sorry, miss," he turned to call after her, surprised to see her walking quickly away. Huffing softly, he started after her a little. "Miss? Are you all right?" He tried again, wanting to make sure that he wasn't about to be thrown out of the bar for fighting, even if it was to defend her honor.

She ignored the first statement, working for a moment in silence before she heard him ask if she was alright. She stopped pouring the next drink before her gaze moved up to look at the man for the first time. He was attractive. The kind of attractive that knew he was attractive and tookgreat advantage of it. the kind of attractive that would use that to get what he wanted from men and women alike, the kind of attractive she hated. "I didn't need a hero. I didn't need you to save me. You just cost me half of my paycheck. So does that seem like I"m okay?"

"Half of your paycheck? He looked like he would have taken the whole damn thing and then some if you gave him the chance." He was taken aback for a moment by the display. A simple "thank you" was more what he was expecting...maybe even a free drink. "What's the problem, I thought that creeps like that weren't welcome in a place like this. Isn't this the classier bar in town?"

"Believe it or not, he is a very wealthy man and a regular of mine. You likely just made me lose my best customer." She shook her head, pouring another drink. "I didn't ask to be saved and I didn't ask you to send him to the hospital with a concussion. Next time mind your own business, pretty boy." She scoffed, taking the two drinks and leaving the bar to bring them to more customers.

"You'll thank me later when you're not having to put up with harassment to get a dollar. How much were you expecting from him tonight, I'll cover the cost." He huffed, shaking his head. "No good deed..." he mumbled under his breath, following after her. He wasn't sure what was going on or why he kept attempting to make something about this right. Maybe it was Himchan's insistence that the city not go entirely to shit. To find some sort of order in the chaos.

"I have no desire to thank you. As for covering the cost, you likely just lost me a regular customer." She shook her head, giving a soft growl before smiling at her new customers and offering their drinks, thanking for a generous tip before making her way back to the bar. "Could you leave? Or at least leave me alone? I'm trying to work."

"I'm trying to put right something that apparently I did wrong. I didn't think you were crazy enough to put up with bullshit like that just for a few extra dollars a night." He sighed, pulling some cash from his payout and offering it to her. The amount was two hundred, enough to cover her lost wages for the evening, he was sure. "Here. Take my apology and I'll leave you alone."

"A few extra dollars? That man pays my rent. He puts the groceries in my house, he--" she cut off, freezing as she saw him offer the money. The 200 would cover that night, but likely she had lost her best customer. She was used to putting up with the flirting. She did it to be sure she could afford the drug, her needs... She looked up at him. "Why are you offering me this? I told you I didn't want your help. And I don't need an apology." Still, her gaze returned to the money again.

"Just take it, okay? I know you don't need it--you'll probably get another regular just like him in no time. But I want to do this. Why pass up free money?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. He could tell by the circles under her eyes, the way she carried herself...she was a junkie. And she likely had been for a while. "For someone that pays your rent, puts groceries in your house, and needles into your arm...he isn't worth your time. You'll find a better patron."

She was about to take it. Her hand reached out and froze when she heard him mention the needles. Her gaze moved to his, the anger, the fear flashing in her gaze at his words. She took a shaky breath before speaking softly. "Get out. You're not welcome in this bar anymore. Get out before I have you thrown out." She shook her head, turning to start to walk away from him.

"I'm the last person in the city to judge you for what you want to do. Especially with my line of work." He called after her, sighing as he ran his fingers through his hair. Well, he'd fucked that one up pretty badly. Maybe he could leave the tip with the bartender to give to her...but would they give it over? Would she take it? He wasn't sure why he cared, but something in her reminded him quite a lot of himself...

((Sure. XD))

Daehyun had tried to keep the waitress out of his mind. If she wanted to be defensive, he would leave her to it. But something kept striking him as wrong. Settling his tab, he stepped out into the cool night, pulling his jacket closer around himself before he caught sight of the man he had fought in her name. He was whispering to his friends, making his way to the back of the building...something wasn't right. Quieting his steps, he followed after, wanting to make sure that more trouble wasn't about to start.

Sujin had finished cleaning up the bar and was about to head home. When she stepped out behidn the bar, her dealer was there waiting. She paid for her hit, took the shot and felt herself sink against the side of the building, riding the high. It was stronger than normal, more dangerous, she couldn't see, she couldn't think, all that mattered was the peace she finally felt. At least, until she felt lips on her jaw, her neck, moving down to her chest. She tried to push the unknown would-be attacker away, but the drug was too much. Had her dealer been paid off to leave her there like this...?

The slighter man rounded the corner just as the thug was attempting to pull her shirt away from her body, feeling nothing short of disgust and rage flash through his body. Before he knew what he was doing, he had taken the man's head and slammed it against the brick wall, teeth bared in a snarl as he repeated the action again and again, not intending on stopping until there was nothing left.
