She shrugged. "You're not really denying it, are you?" With a smalls mile, she shoook her head. "Like I said, at least you're being kind. And right now kind is what I need. So I appreciate it." She looked up at him with a small smile. "I never said it wasn't my choice. I don't...like people."

(So really no one will miss her when she's gone. XD)

"I'm here because I want to do something nice for you. And also I like observing people." He admitted, giving a soft, weak chuckle. So she had no friends, an absentee fiancee, she was perfect. And nothing short of fascinating.

Smiling at his mention of wanting to do something nice, she shook her head. "I still don't buy it. But I don't really care. Like I said, for all I know you could be some crazy murderer..but you're a nice murderer." With a soft laugh, she shook her head, loking up at him again. "You wouldn't kill me, right?"

"A nice murderer? Is there such a thing?" he asked, laughing softly. At the last, he shook his head. "You don't deserve it." His tone betrayed the joke, flashing her a wink.

"Why wouldn't there be? Killers are still human, aren't they? Every human has some kindness in them somewhere, don't they?" Hearing hte last, she couldn't hold back a small smile. "I don't deserve it? Are you sure?"

"That's a romantic way of looking at things. I'm not so sure about that, but...I haven't met that many kind people." He admitted with a shrug. Granted, there were at least twenty people he wasn't sure about, that several policemen were still trying to find him for. "You don't deserve it. From what I've learned about you in a few short minutes, you're nicer than half the city."

"Romantic? I didnt say I wanted to date a killer. I just said that even killers have to have some kindness." She laughed softly, the sound a little weak before she heard the last. "I don't deserve it. That's...nice of you to say. I"m glad I've come across as such a good person. But aren't the good people the better targets?"

Yes, they absolutely were. "I guess so. It would be a little tough to try to take out someone who pulled a gun on you, I guess." he shrugged lightly. "Do you not believe you're a good person?"

"Exactly." She ouldn't hold back a soft laugh. She couldn't remember the last time she laughed. "I bet it wouldnt' be so tough. It just might not be as fun for some people. Someone with a gun usually doesn't scream and beg...they fight back and they're silent because they rely on the gun. In most cases the killers like the screams, the begging, the pleading and the fear in their victim's voices, right?" She smiled slightly. At the last, she frowned. "I think...I had to have been a terrible person in a past life to go through what I go through now..."

"I guess they do. But wouldn't that get boring after a while? Maybe a fight is a little more interesting." He pointed out, taking another drink. At the last, his smile faded, a frown taking its place. "Sometimes the world just doesn't care how good or bad you are."

"A fight without a gun, I think, would be the most interesting. Seeing the moment such a confident, strong person realizing they're going to die...I think that's what gets most going. Don't you?" As she heard the last, she gavea small shrug. "So why care about the world, right?

"I guess it would be. Have you thought about this before?" He asked, raising an eyebrow with a soft chuckle. At the last, he nodded, leaning back a little in his chair. "Good question...that's what I think every day."

Humming softly, she thought the words over fora moment before shaking her head. "When I was younger I was fascinated with serial killers. I studied them, I...I even wrote top a couple in prison. I wanted to know what..what made them think that way. Please...please don't judge me too harshly." Laughing nervously, she took another drink.

"That's...really cool." He admitted honestly, unable to hide a smile. "Most people would think that's...strange, but it's really interesting to me. Did those killers ever write back?" This was getting better by the minute...

She nodded. "I've learned a lot about murderers. It's actually saved my life a few times. I've...had a couple...near death experiences. But knowing how most normal killers work...I've actually managed to help the police catch some..." she flushed softly. "When I was younger, I mean. I...am a bit out of practice now. I could probably become best friends with someone thay wants me dead now and never even know until he's choking the life out of me."

"Near death experiences?" The surprise was clear on his face, watching her carefully. "You...are more than I expected. I'm not sure if that kind of skill just goes away." Though it seemed like it had...

She flushed at his words, thinking back to the two times she'd been pinned down by a killer, both times they hadn't been very skilled, nw at the game, reckless. She shuddered at the memories, the nightmares she'd had for years because of them, the reason she'd developed such a fascination with killers. The reason she'd gone just a little crazy herself... "More than you expected? You expected something? What do you mean more?

"I just...didn't expect someone so interesting when we first met. I don't know what I expected, but this is...pretty great, actually. It's rare that I meet someone who thinks a little like me." He admitted with a pleased smile.

SHe tilted her head at his words, raising a brow. "A little like you? What do you mean? How do we think alike?" With a weak smile, she glanced down at her feet, shifting a little in her seat. "You think I"m interesting?"

"I've studied killers, too. Once upon a time I wanted to be an investigator." He could admit that safely, couldn't he? That was before he came to the conclusion that it wouldn't help as much to work from the inside. "I think you're really interesting, yes. But you don't look like you're used to compliments."
