"i dont...want to talk about it." Her voicr was soft, hardly above a whisper. "Please dont ask me to. I just... Can't, okay?" She hadnt been able to sleep since the night he tried to kill her...and oddly enough, it had nothing to do with him trying to kill her and everything to do with his leaving.

He nodded with a hum at the explanation, feeling that familiar sting in his chest as he thought of the reason she must be dealing with. "It's...it's because of what I did, isn't it?" he asked softly. "You don't...you don't have to talk about it. I know I'm pretty far past forgiveness. But I'm sorry."

"Please...stop asking." She shivered again, coughing as she snuggled closer, fingers slipping up to his shirt and gripping it tightly. "I just..want to go home." She wanted the apartment, the place she'd spent so much time with him..but she hadn't seen it since he left her.

"Do you mind if we take a detour? The studio is warmer...it will be better for you until your strength is back." His frown deepened, sure that she wouldn't want to be in a place that they had shared. "Or, if you hate that place as much as you do me...I have more than enough money for a hotel room."

She knew she should say no...she should never go back to that place...but in weeks it was the only thing she wanted almost as much as seeing him again. As she gave a cough again, struggling to catch her breath, she nodded, blinking rapidly through her dizziness. "The...the s-studio."

"All right." He couldn't hide his relief as she didn't fight the offer, turning toward the familiar backstreets that would take them through the fastest path. "Thank you...for letting me help you. I know I'm the last person you wanted to see." He said before he could stop himself, already thinking of the booth he could visit to get her something to eat. She likely hadn't had the energy to cook anything for herself...

"Stop...talking." She shuddered, fingers tightening in his shirt. she hadn't been sleeping hardly at all...and as he carried her, she was starting to doze. Even in the cold, even with the fever, she felt herself start to fade. Falling in and out of consciousness, she muttered his name softly.

Apologizing at the order, he walked in silence until he reached the door, unlocking it and pushing his way inside before he heard her call his name. Humming in question, he carried her upstairs to the loft, placing her under the blankets of the bed.

It didn't take long for her to fall asleep in his arms. And when he moved her to the blankets, she gripped his shirt tighter, muttering something about him not leaving her again. Her voice ws small, soft, afraid... She couldn't be on her own again.

He felt his heart twist at the plea, swallowing hard before he removed his jacket and shoes and slipped under the blankets next to her, ignoring drying blood in favor of not denying her a single thing she wished for. Carefully, he pulled her close, knowing that she would scream at him in the morning but finding that a few minutes of not feeling like his heart was being torn out through his spine was more than worth it.

As he pulled her close, she relaxe against him. Her fingers moved over his shirt, her head rested under his chin and she melted against him like she was meant to be there, like it was all she'd waited for. Soon enough, her trembling stopped and she whimpered his name softly again. She was asleep, dreaming of soft eyes, pale skin, beautiful smile. Moon Jongup. The man of her dreams...and she was in his arms, where she was supposed to be.

He held her as closely as possible, not wanting to sleep for fear of missing a single moment. Brushing his fingers through her hair, he breathed a soft apology, one that he hoped she would hear instead of brushing him off, telling him to stop talking, telling him that he should leave and never return. He had ruined the one good thing in his life, he thought for the thousandth time. She was here in his arms and still a million miles away.

(I'm gonna wobbly to the next morning. XDD)

AS the sun began to shift through the windows, Inna's fingers tightened in the man's shirt gently. She nuzzled under his chin slightly, shivering at the fever she still had. But it was her rumbling stomach that woke her. She was starving. For the first time in weeks, she was actually hungry. Her eyes opened, but she didn't move, afraid that if she moved she'd realize t was all a dream...she was still alone. She'd dreamed of Jongup coming back many times..but this time had felt so...so real.

He had fallen asleep despite his best efforts, lost to dreams that for once weren't about succeeding in killing her--or worse, being shunned, told to leave, told that she hated him. For once he was content. His fingers moved idly over her back, hovering somewhere between dreams and reality. Humming softly, he held her a little more closely, wanting to stretch the moment for as long as possible.

As she heard the hum, feeling his fingers on her back, sh couldn't hold back a small shiver. Her fingers tangled in his shirt, ear resting over his heart, face bured in his chest. She gave a soft hum of her own, shifting closer and feeling his warmth spread through her. She took a deep breath, not wanting to wake him, but just wanting to be closer. God...it was killing her. He was killing her. This was all she'd even thought about since he left her alone...

At length, he couldn't keep pretending to sleep any longer, feeling the change in her breathing and hoping the moment wouldn't have to end. "...You awake?" He mumbled sleepily, making no move to put any space between them.

The last time she'd slept in a man's arms, in his bed, she thought, she'd been engaged. Yet, somehow, this felt more... Right. This felt like she was meant to be there. As she heard the soft voice, the question like he'd asked her every morning for years, she but her lip. It was about to be over. Her leave her again... She'd be alone... Again. "If i say no...can i lay here a little longer?"

"You can lay here as long as you want...no matter what you say." He was surprised by the question, knowing he was content to hold her like this until the sun burnt out. "Did you sleep well? How do you feel?"

"i... Did. I slept well." For the first time since he left, she had actually slept. At the last, she shifted, keeping her head under his chin so he couldn't see her face, the tears in her eyes, the fear. "I have a headache. And i think i still have a fever... And I'm starving," again for the first time since he left,"but... I'm not really tired..."

"I can get you something to eat." He offered softly, hand moving up into her hair, smoothing the soft locks absently. "Or we can stay here for a while longer." He added, unwilling to let her go.
