A locally-run coffee shop frequented by the group's younger members. Seems to do well despite not having much foot traffic.

He thought the offer over for a moment, wondering if he should call this in anyway, just out of spite. "Call someone in and give miss Lee the weekend off. Paid. And if I hear that you're giving her or any of your waitresses this kind of trouble again, I promise you that I will be sure that this place is taken down brick by brick. Am I clear?" His voice was still eerily calm and icy cold as he never blinked, meeting the manager's eyes evenly.

The man was silent for a long moment before clearing his throat, voice a little too high. "Call someone...? What about the rest of her shift? She was an hour late today, you can't expect me to just tell her to go home now." Paid weekend off? He wasn't going to do that. He couldn't. He'd just...pretend until this guest left.

"A full-time student, probably called in on a day that she wasn't originally scheduled to cover a staffing problem that came from your own negligence, am I right?" He asked, tilting his head with a cruel smirk. "I'm sure that detective Shin will be happy to look into how many of your staff have been penalized or fired for issues borne of your own negligence. How am I to know that you're not going to give me lip service until I walk away, even if you do agree? Or should I go up the chain of command until you're wishing an audit is the worst problem to deal with?"

He tensed once again. This man was serious...and he knew he would follow through with every threat. After a long moment, he gave a curse, calling the girl over. When she approached, he told her to go to the kitchen and clock out for the next four days. He instructed her that if she tried to work in those four days she'd be fired and that he wanted her to take a paid vacation. After a moment, he cleared his throat. "I assume you know this man. If I call you in to work in those four days, give him a call so he knows." Looking back at Taekwoon, he raised a brow. "There. Reassurance that I won't call her in. Is that enough?"

Sunmin watched the exchange in obvious confusion, brow furrowing before she shook her head. "I doon't need a vacation. I can work. I was the one that was late today..."

"Fair enough. And now that I know that you've been causing problems, I'll be sure to keep an eye on you. I know many people in this neighborhood, sir, and they all visit your business from time to time. It would be in your best interests to keep from giving them a reason to tell me what you're doing." Turning his eyes to the woman that had approached, his expression softened a little. "I know you've been working your ass off for your classes...maybe a vacation would do you a little good."

Ordering her once more to take the vacation, he shot the man a look before gathering up am apron of his own and going to wait the tables, leaving the pair by themselves. Sunmin turned her gaze to the man, heart giving a hard bump. He looked good when he was ready for a date, even one he didn't care about. And she looked like a mess. "... Did you tell him to do that...?'

"Technically I just reminded him that what he was doing to you is illegal. I suggested the day off, not four." He admitted, rubbing the back of his neck with a soft, self-conscious laugh. "Have you eaten yet? I'm sure you're sick of being here, but I know some food stalls close by that are pretty great."

"you.. Didnt have to do that. I cant really afford to get fired after this. What if he fires me as soon as you're gone?" She gave a weak laugh, shaking her head. "Ove had to go through stuff like that a million times. It was no big deal." Qs she heard the last, she looked up at him in shock. "I... Dont have any money and you have a date."

"If he does, call me. He'll be dealing with so many lawsuits and inspectors that he'll be living in a box at the end of the week. If he's smart, he knows that already." He gave a smile that held a mixture of amusement and annoyance at the thought. It would be a hell of a lot of fun to ruin the man... "My date can't make it, and I was going to pay for her food anyway. Let's go somewhere."

"I can't call you. I don't have your number, you have mine." She laughed weakly, glancing back at her manager to see him struggling with her difficult table. He was sweating, he was not happy...she took way too much joy in this. As she heard the last, she looked up at him in surprise. "You haven't been here long enough to say she isn't coming. And you haven't had a call since you got here, so you're standing her up. Right?" Was he offering to buy herfood...? Again....? "Are you asking me on a date, ahjussi?" She laughed, clearly joking with the question.

"I can fix that." He pulled his phone from his pocket, sending a simple text of "hello" to the number he had already saved. At the last, he looked a little guilty, rubbing the back of his neck. "She did send a message to say she would be late...I just...sent one back to say that I couldn't make it." He admitted, clearing his throat. "I'd rather eat with you, honestly." He added with a laugh.

"So..you blew her off." She laughed softly, looking up at him for a moment before she heard the last. The thought made her heart jump and she gave a small smile. "Glad to be your second choice, I guess. But, really, you don't have to buy me anything. I can figure my own dinner out. I'm sur eyou have better things to do than worry with me."

"I'd rather have had you as my first choice. You're the one I'm choosing, instead of someone that was chosen for me." He gave a faint chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. "That...sounded less cheesy in my head. I would like to spend the evening with you, if you want."

Her cheeks burnedat his words, watching him closely. After a moment, she gave a nervous laugh. "So...you really are asking me on a date..?" Was it just her imagination..? OR was he showing some...attraction to her?

"What do you say? I mean, I'll understand if you want to rest instead, but I've got all the time in the world." His smile gained a little strength, looking up to her with a flash of hope in his eyes.

Surprised by what looked like genuine hope, she flushed softly. Glancing at her boss once more, she looked down and gave anervous laugh. "I..I owuld, but I'm not really dressed for a date. I look like shit--ah...c..crap. I look like crap."

"I don't think you look like shit." He shook his head with a laugh. "Honestly I think you look good. But if you want some time to change, we can meet somewhere. Did you drive here; I can drop you off if you'd like."

"You don't think I look like shit?" she gestured to the white button down and black slacks that looked a little misplaced before looking up at him. "I look like a slob... and I can't even imagine what my hair looks like." As if on queue, her bangs fell in her eyes. He thought she looked good..? With a flush, she looked up at him again. "I walk to work every day, I don't own a car, that costs too much money."

"Let me drive you, then. At least so you can be comfortable." He offered, gesturing for her to follow him. "But honestly I think you would look pretty in anything." He added as an afterthought, unaware that he hadn't filtered the thought before speaking.
