The Rabbit Hole
NoWealthNoRuin HC's Territory
A nightclub skirting the neighborhood between the rougher side of town and the classier neighborhoods. The main bar and dance floor is located in the front, with a quieter private lounge in the back where the finer points of Himchan's job are delegated to the other members of the group. Any revenue built by the club is honestly made, though it does house one of the most powerful mob families in the city.

"Thanks, hyung." He smiled, finishing the last of his waffle before passing him the plate. "I can dry and put away."

Shin Se Ki was not about to give up the power he had earned. The true owner of the body had tried to bar doors, set up surveillance, set alarms, anything to stop Se Ki from wandering as soon as he fell asleep, but neglected to think of the fact that he was being watched. Every code, every key, they shared knowledge of and it was a simple task to awaken, get dressed, and go out into the night. The lights and music of the bar were more mild than most on the main street, and he had to admit that the intimate size was more comforting than the massive clubs he had bypassed. He smiled to himself as he toyed with the glass before him, leaning against the bar and simply enjoying the freedom of being out. Soon, he thought wistfully. Soon this could be his life at any time he wished. Total freedom...soon he wouldn't have to wait for a door to open in order to live a real life.

Oh Ri Jin hadn't been in the bar long. She'd been invited out by several of her coworkers, and she now sat in the corner, alone with ehr drink, while the rest were dancing on the small dance floor. The music was nicer, she decided, glad they at least weren't in a loud club. She had a killer headache...and she really wasn't up to a party right then.

He was watching the patrons of the bar when he caught sight of the girl in the corner. He watched her friends get up to dance, wondering what their stories were. What hers was. She was very pretty, he noted, debating for a moment on getting up and striking up a conversation. He wasn't a fan of people except from a distance. But something about her struck him as different...and he had spent too long watching life pass by as Dohyun pushed away all but a select few. What was the harm in trying? Standing and taking a deep drink from his glass, moved toward the table next to hers, working on what to say to start the conversation before one of the more inebriated patrons shoved hard into him as they lost their balance. The drink sloshed at the shift, covering his hand, and his annoyance only grew as the patron whipped around and demanded an apology. He tilted his head, feeling his neck crack, withstanding the drunk's indignant shouting for a few moments before he reached out with his free hand and gripped the man's collar tightly, lifting him up a little as he snarled, "Back. Off. Now."

She had been more focused on the drink in front of her than anything before she heard the commotion. A drunk was screaming at another customer, another drunk she was sure. But when she heard the yelp from the first man, the growl from the second, her gaze lifted from her glass to see what appeared to be the start of a fight. Staring in shock, she found she couldn't react, she wasn't really sure what to do but if a fight broke out, someone may need her... Choosing to remain silent and let the two work it out themselves, she frowned.

He honestly hadn't expected the man to swing, and the sharp sting of the glass breaking against his head was enough to stagger him for a moment. He could feel warm liquid running down his cheek from a cut on the side of his forehead, having to step back for a moment before his lips curled up in a snarl. Two hits and the man was unconscious, but it took two large bouncers to keep him from finishing the job. Thankfully the bartender corroborated his story and he was allowed to stay as the drunk's friends collected the man and took their leave. Aware of a growing headache from the blow, he sighed, taking a seat at the table next to the woman he had intended to speak to. That...hadn't gone well. He was lucky that the blow hadn't called anyone else into the front seat. He had worked too hard for this night out. Cursing softly, he leaned forward, resting his forehead on his hand in an attempt to regain his equilibrium.

Seeign the blow, she frowned again. At first she didn't notice the blood. When the attractive man knocked the other unconscious and the worker had to pull him away, she stood. For a moment, she debated helping before she saw the drunk be escorted out by his friends. Thinking her options over for a moment, she followed the group out of the bar, stopping them on the street and requesting to see the man and be sure he didn't need to go to the hospital. After several minutes and a few field tests, she allowed them to continue on, instructing them to bring him home and make sure he drank plenty of water. And then she returned to the bar, walking to her coworkers and telling them that she'd had enouh of the bar scene and that she was heading back to work after she paid for her drink.

Deciding that he didn't want to risk an invasion, he stood and made to leave, paying for his drink as the woman approached her friends. Aware that she was in earshot, as he pulled the wallet--taken from one of the bouncers on his way in--from his pocket, he laid a few bills on the counter, informing the bartender, "For mine and hers."

Not hearing the man, she thanked her coworkers for allowing her to come before moving to the bar to pay her tab. When the bartender explained her tab had been taken care of, she looked at him in confusion before instructing him to thank whoever for her. She really wasn't in the mood to deal with flirty drunks. Instead, she gav ea small bow to her 'friends' and made her way out the door and into the cool night air, pulling her light jacket tighter around herself.

The cool night air helped clear his spinning head, he found, pulling his "borrowed" jacket a little tighter around himself as he tried to figure out what to do with his evening. The pounding of his head increased, the world tilting beneath him and forcing him to lean against a streetlamp to gather his wits. He had been in worse fights than that, he knew, but that glass had hit him right across the temple. He hoped it wouldn't do any more damage before Dohyun woke up. He could deal with the fallout after Se Ki went back under.

As she pulled her jacket tighter around herself, she glanced up, seeing a man walking away from the bar. When he leaned against hte light, she realized something was wrong. Before she could stop herself, knowing it wasn't just a drink that caused him to act this way, she stepped forward, approaching him from behind. "Ah...excuse me...ahjussi, are you alright? Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine..." He mumbled out of habit, shaking his head in an attempt to clear it. "Just...just a little lightheaded." He turned to see the woman from the bar, surprised that she hadn't left already.

As he turned to face her, his eyes meeting hers, her breath caught. She looked up at quite possibly the most attractive man she'd ever seen, and for a moment she could think of nothing, nothing but the desire to keep staring. After a moment, she noticed the blood. "You're bleeding..." Her voice was soft, recalling the man that got hit on the head inside. Was it him...? Before she could stop herself, not realizing she wasn't waring her doctor's coat, she lifted her hand to brush his hair aside to see the wound. "It's deep."

Surprised by the sudden comment, he jumped a little at the sting, frowning slightly. "Jackass got me pretty good...I didn't see the glass until it hit me. I'll be all right, I've had worse."

Looking at the wound instead of the man, she shook her head. "Come with me to the hospital. I'll stitch it for you. You shouldn't leave it untreated, it could get infected or cause other problems. Who knows how dirty that glass was."

"You're a doctor?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and immediately regretting the movement as it pulled at the cut. Considering brushing her off, he wondered what the harm would be in spending a little more time with her. "...All right. Thank you, miss."

"I'm a doctor." she nodded, looking up and meeting his gaze once again. She relaized for a second time how attractive he was. Her fingers slowly fell away from his face and she felt her cheeks flush. "Oh...I...I just..I saw the blood, I"m sorry." With a darker flush, she gave a nervous laugh. "I'll...I'll call a cab."

"Don't worry." he shook his head, regretting this decision as well and bringing his hand up to help steady the world's spinning. "Funny...I got into that fight because I was getting up to try to talk to you." He said at last, filter all but gone.

She froze at his words, turning back to look up at him in obvious surprise. Her brow furrowed and she frowned slightly. "To...talk to me? Why?" was he a creep after all? Was he a stalker? Maybe she shouldn't take him back to the hospital....maybe he was some kind of murderer or soething....

"I thought you were cute. I wanted to strike up a conversation, that's all. ...Don't look so scared." He chuckled softly, waving off her surprise. "I gave up after the fight. Couldn't think of the right way start a conversation anyway..."
