The Rabbit Hole
NoWealthNoRuin HC's Territory
A nightclub skirting the neighborhood between the rougher side of town and the classier neighborhoods. The main bar and dance floor is located in the front, with a quieter private lounge in the back where the finer points of Himchan's job are delegated to the other members of the group. Any revenue built by the club is honestly made, though it does house one of the most powerful mob families in the city.

"Probably a good choice. This isa great bar. It would suck to get banned for life." With a soft laugh, she finished her second glass, looking down at the empty glass with a small frown. "You grew up around here? I imagine with that shiny badge under that jacket you don't live nearby anymore? This isn't exactly a cops neighborhood, officer..."

"You're right, I like it here." He nodded with a wry chuckle. Gesturing to the bartender to get her another as she emptied her glass--a thanks for the one she got for him, his mind insisted. "I don't live nearby, no. But I'm here pretty often. I know that things haven't changed much, but I try to help people around here where I can."

Raising a brow as he ordered her a drink, she smirked. So..he was acting like a gentleman..? Or a flirt? "Coming here to help people probably isn't the best idea. most people here either don't want the help or are the help others are looking for." Drugs were a big problem in this neighborhood.

"Believe me, I know. I've got a lot of experience in dealing with the kind of help people are looking for around here." He sighed, shaking his head as he took another drink.

She nodded. "I figured that might be the case. With the drug market growing down here. Let me guess, you're looking for the ring leader? Any leads?" She knew exactly who he was looking for...and honestly she didn't care one way or the other if he caught him. It didn't prevent her from doing her job...

"You're pretty curious for a barfly. How do I know you're not about to call someone to shove a knife in my gut the first chance I step outside?" He asked in return, raising an eyebrow as he looked over to her once again. He shouldn't be disarmed by a pretty face, he thought firmly. For all he knew she was the one he was looking for. But something told him this wasn't the case.

"It's not often I find cops in this side of town. That's all." She laughed softly, looking up at him with a small smile and a raise of her brow. "Do I really seem like the type to have soeone else do my killing for me?" Oh..if only he knew. With a soft laugh, she shook her head. "If you are looking for the lead dealer down here I can point you in his direction. He's really mucking up the people down here and I"m sick of finding friends in ditches."

"I try not to assume anything." He pointed out with another drink. "Maybe you'd sink the knife in my back." He half-joked, smirking before his eyes widened at the last. "You'd...help me?"

"I won't lie, that's more likely. Knives are much more personal than guns." She grinned, taking her new drink with a soft thanks before looking up st him again. He was shocked by her words. How amusing. "Said I would. Like I said, sick of dead friends." If they could be called friends...

"I'm...happy to get all the help I can." He said at last, unsure if he could trust her completely. Or even if it was a good idea to. But he was getting nowhere fast doing what he was doing, and his new partner seemed to be more clueless than any before. He needed help.

Smirking at his words, she gestured down the bar to a man ina suit. He seemed out of place...because he was. He wasa government official, one currently running for office and holding a quiet conversation with a few young men in a dark corner. "There's your leader."

"It can't be that easy." He blurted without thinking, eyes widening as he recognized the man's face. He had wondered just how corrupt the government was, but to see it unfolding before his eyes was almost unreal.

She shrugged. "Investigate if you don't believe. I mean, I know you have rules you have to follow and everything to keep that badge of yours. " she shrugged again. "Just figured I'd make your job easier. You honestly don't seem the type to track drug lords. I figured you were more of the..violent crime type, honestly.

"I've got a personal investment in both." he glanced over to the man once again, chewing on his lip for a moment before sighing, pulling out his phone and sending a text to the chief to have the kids investigate the official. "But if I can help keep both to a minimum I'm doing my job well. Thank you very much for this, miss...?"

She smiled at his words, watching him send out the text before smiling softly. "Choi." It was all she'd give just yet.. "and when you make the arrest and win the trial...you owe me a drink, here, thr night of? I'll give you more of my name."

"Miss Choi." He nodded with a small smile, surprised to find that he had more to look forward to than just the conviction now. "When we win, I'll buy your drinks for the night, how's that? I'll owe you that for helping make this place a little better for everyone."

Raising a brow, she felt a smirk pull at her lips. If he only knew.. "Why don't we make it interesting. Get your conviction...and you get to take me to dinner. " Her eyes flashed, the look unintentionally flirty.

"To dinner?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. He had to admit that she was very pretty. "All right, we have a deal." He held his hand out to her to seal the promise, smile gaining strength.

She smirked
, looking down at hus hand again before giving a soft chuckle. "I haven't sealed a deal with a handshake it quite a while." Holding her hand out to his, she took long slender fingers in her own and gave it a small shake. "Ot was great to meet you, officer...I'll see you after the trial."

"Officer Kim." He corrected with a small smile. If she was only going to give a surname, so would he. "I guess I'll see you when we win."
