Introduction ( SECOND POST )

(1) |

Hello and welcome to Vampire Kingdom, What a pleasure it is to see you here, and some of you again.
This is where you will create your character, using the guideline below. They will be claimed by one of the Royals if they are acceptable, so please refrain from RPing until you are claimed. Feel free to visit our Chat and Games Subforum while you wait.
Thank you.

Name:
Gender (male/female)
Race of vampire:
Age actual:
Age looks:
Eye color:
Hair color:
Height
Weight:
Status:
Personality:
Distinguishing feature(s):
Power:
Weapon(s) of choice:
Appearance:
History:

Your character cannot be more than 10,000 years of age. You cannot simply put unknown, and you cannot make them older than that.
You also cannot leave your history plank or put that they're too old to remember their history. Doing so will lead to the staff assuming that you're not going to put much effort into your RPs. Please provide a history that will permit us to learn about your character and properly judge which royal they'll thrive with. We love long histories!
Your history must be at least 5 lines long or your character will not be claimed and you will be asked to add to it.

--Note--
All members can have two(2) characters to begin with, and one more with each 1000 posts. You cannot make a third character until you reach 1,000 posts.

You must have 1,000 posts to earn a staff position for your character!

ALSO! Each member will have each character claimed by a different royal, so for those who claim for their royal, you must look to see if that member already has a character claimed by your royal, if so you must wait for someone else to claim them.

~Note~

We are in the 1500s, please try to keep things period. Thank you.

pointup What that means is that you can't have what are modern day cigarettes, jeans(invented in the 1850s), and other such things that are not appropriate in the dark ages. If you are not sure if it exists in the 1500s, google it. ~ Zillah

Note: Due to an agreement by Emperor Arsen and Lucifer, Demons that are brought forth within the kingdom will be under Lucifer's jurisdiction, i.e. no royal will be able to claim them. They are free to decide to join as part of the protectors or not, but they are still unable to be claimed by any royal. Any inquiries are to be taken up with Arsen [Kisa_13] or Lucifer[Dark_Angel_84]. Rules of Demons: I: only allowed to have one when you have at least 500 posts or more, and II: regular members can only have 1 demon, moderators and admins can have 2, roots can have 3, co-owners 5, and the owner: 6.

Looks good dear though her history looks more about her personality. Tell us more about her beginning not just her relationships with guys. Like where she was born and things of that nature. Remember this is 1500s so i doubt there was any music playing unless you meant people with instruments of the time period.

Also you need to read the rules and post there as well.

Character based off the world of darkness book, Changling the lost. I've included as much info as I could from the book and added a glossary along with the facts.
If you have questions about anything you can't find in this bio, just let me know and I'll do my best to answer.

I'm going to put the facts and glossary here at the top so 1 might understand the rest of the bio better.

Facts/glossary:

Fairest Background:
The Fairest were not always those whom the
Fae thought to take for lovers. Although most were pleasing to the eye,
all had some talent beyond simple good looks. Some
could dance, some had beautiful voices, some were artists or poets.
The few who have made it back have often found that this
one talent has consumed them. It’s almost all they have, in a
way. The arrogance that comes from having the strength of self
to be able to freely return from bleak, beautiful Faerie is perhaps
bolstered by insecurity. What if the talents they have are not
enough to make them truly the most talented, the brightest, the
most beautiful? After all, in the stories, the Fae sorceress is very
rarely, if the mirror is to be believed, the Fairest of them all.

The mask:
A changeling’s true face is something hidden from
most of the mortal world. Although the changeling’s physical
body has been changed, ordinary humans and even most
supernatural beings are unable to see the Lost for what he
has become. They see instead the Mask, an illusion made of
Glamour that hangs around each changeling and provides a
human guise. The illusion is quite complete, able to deceive
even film and digital media with only the occasional faint
blur or aftereffect.
The Mask is not a choice. It protects and disguises the
Lost even when they would have it otherwise, even beyond
death. The Mask seems to be another expression of
the ancient pacts struck by the Fae to protect them and
theirs from the eyes of common men and women. Though
the Lost are no longer “the Gentry’s” in many ways, apparently
changelings are still close enough for the purposes of
this bargain. So they appear to be who they were instead
of what they have become… for the most part. There’s always
just a hint of the changeling to the Mask, be it skin
that reminds someone just a bit of strong oak wood or eyes
that sometimes seem to reflect light just like a cat’s, if even
for an instant. The Mask may appear a few inches taller or
shorter than the changeling’s true mien, or add or subtract
20 pounds or so. However, the Mask remains close to the
mien’s actual size.
Anyone who is protected by the Mask can also see
right through it. A changeling can see another’s fae mien,
and she can see his in return. The Fae can also see through
the Mask, regrettably, and some of them have learned ways
to conceal their own true forms from a changeling’s eyes.
Even when a changeling looks in the mirror, he sees himself
as Faerie has remade him.

Mein:
The physical changes made to the Lost are impressive-looking,
but not radical.Though a Beast may have claws and fangs, they aren’t
powerful enough to inflict lethal damage. A Fireheart’s flaming
hair doesn’t burn objects held over his head or set off smoke detectors.
However, the minor alterations made to a changeling’s body aren’t entirely cosmetic.
Each changeling gains a free Specialty either to Athletics, Brawl
or Stealth rolls (chosen at character creation) to represent
these small physical changes. These physical aspects can
affect the mortal world, of course, even if humans don’t see
the true cause. The elongated nails of a Hunterheart may
do additional damage when he rakes with his talons, but
his human victim thinks he’s attacked by a lunatic with
sharp nails rather than a beast-man with actual claws. A
Snowskin’s flesh feels cold as ice, but her lover assumes she
must simply have poor circulation. Even as the Stonebones’
child runs her fingers across her father’s horns, she thinks of
herself as merely caressing his brow — a blindness that can
hurt her father deeply.
Membership in a Court or an entitlement can further
change a character’s mien, adding mystical trappings that
reflect the mystical bonds of their allegiance. These trappings
are creations of Wyrd alone, and do not have a physical
manifestation… for the most part.
As the changeling’s Wyrd rises, though, the elements of
his mien begin to leak through the Mask. A powerful Winter
Court changeling who carries an aura of cold around
him sends chills down the spines of nearby humans and
may lower the temperature of his immediate area by a few
degrees. While this still doesn’t increase the changeling’s
seeming or kith qualities into supernatural prowess, it does
make it a bit more difficult to walk among humans
without drawing notice.
Durance:
The Fairest find that the memories of their
time in Faerie are brief, fragmentary. The Fairest have dreams
of self-annihilating ecstasy, of perfect pleasure, intercut with
moments of horror and fear. Romantic interludes segue into
hellish agonies. A bed covered with radiant blossoms is suddenly
drenched in blood, the flowers becoming hooks and
chains that rend and tear. The perfect body, only glimpsed
in fragments, becomes as cold as crushing stone. Threads of
fragrant hair that cover the dreamer’s face become strands
of razor-sharp wire that slice his face away. And when the
changeling wakes up, he screams and he doesn’t know if he’s
screaming in agony or in bliss.

The Spring court's courtiers:
Changelings in a Spring Court pursue their
every action with elegant grace, and they refuse to
neglect their own pleasures. Many of them are very
serious about seeing their own desires met, to the
point where people might call them narcissistic egoists.
Few admit that a Spring courtier has a very good
reason to pursue his own interests, and that that pursuit
requires an iron will and a self-control to rival
any recovering addict.
The ideal of beautifully living for today is very
attractive, especially to escapees from the courts of
Faerie. But few changelings have the right personality
to live in the moments of their own creation — so
much of what they are is in the past, decided for them
by minds decidedly unconcerned with fulfilling the
changeling’s desires. They still have not escaped the
Arcadian prison, though they walk free on Earth.
Such people do not belong in the Spring Court.
The Court seeks those who want to deny the
consequences of the past. Rather than hide from it
or stand against it, they choose to leave their troubles
behind them and forge something new and distinctly
theirs in the “new” world of Earth. They are pioneers
and explorers on the experiential landscape, always
seeking a new pleasure because moving any more
slowly means the Fae will find them.
A proper member of the Spring Court is devoted to
meeting her own desires and doing so elegantly, but also
to helping other members meet their desires. A changeling
who can not just emulate Spring’s rebirth but help
carry it to others is one who has the Court’s respect. A
courtly Knight proclaims his love for the maiden in every
artfully careless step and revels in it, but it is better
if his proclamation gives the maiden the opportunity to
gently swoon and become ravished just as she desires.
A changeling scientist constructs her lab such that every
Bunsen burner and bubbling flask speaks volumes
about the sanity she delights in pretending is lost, but it
is better if her research assistant has the opportunity to
thematically rail against her madness before storming
out the door in secret joy.
Anyone is welcome to join the Spring Court, but
members are judgmental. A changeling without the
same affectation for beauty as the others is quickly
made to feel as if she doesn’t fit in. Unless (or until)
she shows some special poetry in either her work or
play, she will be only on the periphery of the Court
and unable to advance.
Some changelings of this Court suffer strong feelings
of guilt. What gives them the right to see to their
own wants while others suffer? No mere human may
have endured as much as one of the changelings, but
there are other fae who have. This question is most
common among members whose hearts are changing,
and will soon lead them away from the Spring Court.

Mantle:
Mantle represents a mystical connection with the elements
and emotions that a particular Court embodies. The
higher a changeling’s Mantle rating, the more he has come
to embody that Court’s ideal — even if he is a hermit who
doesn’t involve himself in local politics, a character with a
high Mantle is still given at least grudging respect by his
peers because of his obvious commitment to the values his
Court cherishes. From a descriptive perspective, as a character’s
Mantle rises, his fae mien reflects this ascendance,
displaying both literal and figurative signs of the season.

Contracts:
The fae have always been known as great bargainers
and deal-makers, whether it’s a promise of riches in exchange
for a firstborn child or a happy marriage as long as
the bride never, ever lights a candle after dark. Contracts
allow the Lost to call upon the bargains their erstwhile
masters made with the world itself to achieve miraculous
effects ranging from creating useful items out of random
detritus to crawling along walls or ceilings like a spider.

Clarity:
Changelings are no longer human. They have been infected
by the peculiar madness that is Faerie, where dreamlogic
rules and memory runs at the edges into hallucination.
When a changeling at last finds his way home, to a
world of concrete and certainty, he carries with him a spark
of Faerie that rebels against the rational order of this world.
A changeling’s life, then, is a constant, unending struggle
between sanity and madness, between truth and deception.

Glamour:
Glamour is the magical energy that fuels a changeling’s
supernatural powers. Glamour allows her to employ her
Contracts, acquire preternatural (albeit temporary) skills or
perform a variety of astounding feats.
Glamour is drawn from distilled human emotion.
It’s born in every smile and every frown, in every
heartbeat that races with desire and in every scream
of sheer terror. Glamour surges and seethes like a tide,
collecting and welling forth when emotions crest, only
to disperse harmlessly back into the world as tempers
cool — unless a changeling is there to harvest it.

The concept of Morality as it applies to mortals is replaced
by the concept of Clarity, representing the character’s ability
to distinguish the solidity of the mortal world from Faerie
and to reconcile the two disparate halves of his nature.

Wryd:
The character’s connection to the strange energies
of Faerie is measured by her Wyrd Trait. Wyrd represents
the raw power of her fae nature, her affinity for the use of
Glamour and how strongly her seeming “bleeds through”
into reality. A changeling with a high Wyrd is a true creature
of Faerie, perhaps closer to the True Fae than she’d
like to admit. Her seeming is beautiful and terrible, plainly
inhuman and madness-inducing. By contrast, a low-Wyrd
changeling might look scarcely different from an ordinary
human when she reveals her seeming.

The Hedge:
A young woman falls asleep beneath a cypress tree and
awakens surrounded by thorn bushes and unable to remember
her name. A teenaged boy walks through a cemetery
and walks out through a tangle of brambles, then hears
the distant baying of hounds on the hunt. An old man
stands with his shadow falling over an open grave and whispers
a word his grandmother told him never to say, then
watches as the briars fade into view around him.
This is the Hedge, a barrier between the realms of the
Fae and the world of humanity. The Hedge does not conform
to human expectations of time, distance or mass. The
Hedge appears (and disappears) according to rules and laws
laid down thousands of years ago, and not even the Fae can
truly control it. Changelings fear the Hedge because it can
lead them back into slavery, but they recognize its utility
as well. They can enter the Hedge through the appropriate
gates. Mortals normally enter the Hedge by accident or
trickery only, but a few mortals know secret rules and rites
that allow them ingress. Of course, once someone has entered
the Hedge, whether mortal or changeling, her life is
in danger. Getting out of the Hedge is often much more
difficult than getting in.
The Hedge is psychoactive. That is, it responds to the
thoughts, moods and general presence of those within it.
The power of the Hedge bridges a gap between the mind
and the soul. It is possible to lose one’s soul in the Thorns
of the Hedge (as changelings whisper), but a hapless traveler
stands an equal chance of losing his mind as the land
around him reshapes itself.
When humans enter the Hedge, the Thorns do more
than tear at their flesh — the Thorns rip away at their souls
as well. While some lucky individuals may quickly return to
the relative safety of the human world and escape relatively
unscathed, those who venture deeper, further and longer
into the Hedge find that the separation from the human
world affects them in strange ways. Their senses may begin
to play tricks on them. Not only sight and sound, but
their sense of what is right and wrong as well can become
skewed, and they may find themselves reacting to situations
or contemplating actions that they would have considered
loathsome before entering the Hedge.

The bound word:
The bound word is at the heart of fae magic.
Whether taking advantage of the age-old promises between
the Others and various elements of reality, or
crafting their own on-the-spot oath, changelings access
much of their magical potential through what are
essentially agreements between two or more parties
that things should be a certain way. These agreements
and the give-and-take of power tied into them lie at
the roots of Contracts, whether the fae actually recognize
that their ability to withstand a blow is because
of an ancient pact between the Fair Folk and Stone,
or not. Promises between the True Fae and the rest of
reality are steeped so strongly in the very fabric of Arcadia
that they merge with all who spend time there,
granting changelings their own fae power (and, some
say, their seemings and kiths as well). It is rumored
the timeless Ancient Ones’ promise (perhaps to reality
itself) not to overly torment the Earth if given a land
within which their whim held supreme reign. Whether
this is historic truth or not is likely unknowable, lost
in the mutable nature of Faerie and the fickle memories
of those who dwell there, but there is a form of
fae magic that is undoubtedly tied directly to the practice
of supernaturally-supported promises, and rather
than being blurred with centuries of ancient history,
is being made, manifest and modified every single day— the pledge.

Pledges:
The word-bond carries tremendous weight among the
fairies, and even the renegade changelings understand the
importance of one’s pledge. An oath is never given lightly,
a promise never casually made, for who knows when the
Wyrd may entangle those words, tying them to the speaker’s destiny?
Among the many secrets of the Others changelings
bore with them when they fled is the understanding of how
to entangle words in the Wyrd. This is more than simply a
means of making sure both parties uphold their ends of an
agreement, however — the art of pledge-craft is an ancient
one. Those who uphold their word with honor and forthrightness
shall reap rewards of the world; those who fail to
do so are punished appropriately.

A pledge must have a task, boon, sanction and duration.
Task:
The tasks of a pledge express the expectations of one
or both parties to the pledge. In short, the task details what
the sworn must or must not do.
Boon:
The boon of a pledge describes the expected reward for
fulfillment of the task of a pledge. These may range from a
measure of Glamour to enchantment of mortal senses to
small magical benefits granted not by the changelings in
question per se, but by the Wyrd itself.
Sanction:
The sanction of a pledge describes the punishment
that lies in store for those who forswear their pledges. In
the case of some oaths and corporals, there is no additional
sanction, due to the seriousness of breaking those
pledges. Between changelings, the sanction of a pledge
must be pre-established.
Durarion:
The duration of a pledge details the length of time the
pledge remains in effect. Most of these are cyclical adjudications
of time, rather than something measured in hours.

Wording:
When each word holds the potential for great
power or punishment, a wise man chooses his words
carefully. Pledges are words made manifest, promises
that can heal or kill, and few instances exist where
words have as much potential as they do when the
Lost use words to make pledges. Thus, the Lost (at
least those who recognize the danger inherent in a
poorly worded pledge) are very careful when they
make pledges — a loophole or pitfall in wording can
bring about disaster for one who swears his troth
without careful consideration.

1 sided vs joint pledges:
While pledges are inherently an agreement between
two or more parties, not all pledges are two-sided.
Some, such as the vow of a knight to protect his lady or
a man’s oath to his mother to avenge his father’s death,
are really the promise of one individual to do a
certain activity and the other party in the oath
serving as an involved witness or agent of the Wyrd
to the vow. Without their presence, there is no pledge
— a jilted suitor’s solitary vow to take revenge on the
Spring Court courtier who usurped the suitor’s place
with the target of his affection is not a pledge; the
vow is merely the obsession of a madman.
However, that same spurned lover might make the
pledge to exact revenge with his best friend serving as witness
and agent of the Wyrd, and although the friend has no
task or sanction in the pledge, his presence affirms
the vow as more than simple words, connects it
to the ethereal web of fate and time that is the Wyrd
and thus allows the pledge to become a binding pledge.

Restores his glamour by harvesting emotions, he gains more by harvesting the emotion of his court, desire.
He also restores glamour by fulfilling pledges and can step into a mortal’s dreams and attempt to absorb
some of the emotional energy contained therein.

changeling’s Clarity, because his appearance dazzles mortals
with amazing glory rather than confusing or frightening
them. Mortals can clearly see they are talking speaking to a
creature of inhuman appearance, but this merely impresses
them to the extent that mortal onlookers are incapable of
attacking the character except in self-defense.

Mantle of terrible beauty:
Onlookers see the changeling as a great and terrible
version of her normal seeming, but afterwards cannot
remember the exact details of what he looked like, only
that he filled them with utter terror. no risk in losing Clarity.

Words of memories never lived:
Once he succeeds in preparing the audience, he can begin weaving
a speech or other performance that warps their memories
and supercharges their emotions.

Fleeting spring(contract):
The Contracts of Fleeting Spring allow changelings to
manipulate and evoke feelings of desire within others.

Clauses(powers):

Cupid's eye:
reveals a person's desires

Growth of the ivy:
directs a subject’s desires somewhat.

Wyrd-faced stranger:
Jack appears as whomever the subject most
desires to see at that moment.

Pandora's gift:
Jack creates an object that another person
truly desires out of nothing but emotion, dream-stuff and
random materials.

Waking the inner faerie:
He makes a target pursue his greatest desires,
regardless of other considerations. Target has a chance to resist and won't be able to tell the reason if it fails

Eternal spring(contract):
The Contracts of Eternal Spring provide powers of
growth and rejuvenation to the changeling, just as Spring
brings growth and rejuvenation to Earth.

Clauses(powers):
Gift of warm breath:
The character’s power rejuvenates a single living target,
filling the target with energy and vigorous life.

New lover's kiss:
The character calls a rain down from even a cloudless sky.

warmth of the blood:
Heals wounds and soothes pain
This power works only on living creatures
of flesh and blood.

Yesterday's birth:
The changeling endows a living object or creature with
a season’s worth of growth and maturing in an instant.

Mother of all deaths:
The character makes the region around his extraordinarily
verdant and rouses it to fight on his behalf.

Likes:
club, bars, sex, teasing, toying with others, there's no
greater taste or rush in harvesting the desires of others,
getting what he wants, humiliating people, cats, reading, music

Dislikes:
being turned down/away, being alone, the Gentry, idiots,
being undermined, not being in control of the situation

Strengths:
deceiving others, manipulating people, social butterfly, drawing people in

Weaknesses:
going without harvesting the desires of others, his pride/vanity

Distinguishing Features:
when people stare at a flickering candle or gaze into a
crackling bonfire, the force that holds their attention is
the essence of his appeal. It’s the beauty of
danger and destruction, together in one sinuous, lambent package.
Often, it seems as though the clean scent of morning mist
hangs upon him unlike any cologne ever made.

History:
Most changelings in the United States or the United
Kingdom know the story of Jack o’ the Lantern. It’s the kind
of story that appeals to them, after all. Jack, they say, was
a greedy and amoral man, but very clever. With a crowd of
swindled townsfolk on his heels, he met the Devil on the
road. The Devil told him it was time for him to die, that the
burghers would string him up and that he would be roasting
on the eternal embers of Hell before the night was out.
“Fair enough,” said Jack, “for this is the wage of sin. But
I do wonder…”
“What do you wonder?” the Devil asked, always curious
about human cupidity.
“I wonder if you wouldn’t rather see the people chasing
me fall to discord? After all, they clearly aren’t very wise or
innocent — see how quickly they bought into my scam, and
how quickly I fleeced money and goods from them!”
The Devil considered this, and then asked, “But how,
Jack, am I to do this? They are already wary because of
you.”
Jack smiled. “Change yourself into a coin, then, and
I shall pay them. And then they shall fight over who may
keep the single coin, and I shall make my escape. You can
always catch me another day.”
The Devil became a golden coin of such luster that
anyone who saw it would know it was worth a king’s ransom.
But Jack did not look long upon the coin; he simply
stuffed it into his purse, next to a silver cross he had stolen
in the village. And the Devil, braced up against the cross,
was powerless to change back. Jack then fled, using paths
and escape routes known only to himself, and by morning
was well away from his pursuers.

The Fateful Bargain:
Jack opened his purse, and he heard the voice of the
Devil calling out for freedom. But Jack knew the Devil
would surely kill him upon his release, and said, “Devil, I
shall free you, but only if you swear never to take my soul.”
“Done!” the Devil cried. Jack removed the cross from
the purse, and there stood the Devil, smiling. “Fare you
well, Jack,” he said, and vanished back to Hell. Jack thought
this curious, but went on about his life of sin and caprice.
It came to pass that Jack died, and when he approached
the gates of Heaven, he was turned away and sent to Hell.
The Devil himself waited for him outside the black and fiery
pit.
“Hello, sir,” said Jack. “Though I fear the torment of
Hell, I admit I am weary from life. If I cannot have Paradise,
I shall bear my time here as I can.”
The Devil smiled. “But I cannot go back on my word,
Jack,” said the Devil. “You cannot enter here, for I have
sworn never to take your soul.” He pointed to the path back
to the world of men. “Go. Wander the world until Judgment
Day. Swindle God into letting you into Heaven. But never
approach my home again.”
“But…” Jack stammered, “but shall I have nothing to
guard me against the cold and the dark?”
The Devil threw him one small ember and then vanished.
And Jack climbed back up into the world and carved
out a small turnip, and placed the ember inside to help light
his way.

Jack in the mortal realm:
Exactly what era Jack really dates from is unknown,
but he speaks modern English (among other languages) and
is comfortable with technology. He was a career con artist
and thief before his abduction by a band of privateers, and
he was sold to the Goblin Market and kept in a cage in the
Hedge for years before he ever saw Faerie. By the time he
reached the clutches of the Gentry, Jack was well versed in
the languages of pledges and had a better understanding of
the Others than most mortals could ever hope to achieve.
He bore his durance for a while (his story about this durance
— when he bothers to acknowledge his changeling
nature at all — varies, but usually involves courier work),
but then asked for work that would take him out into the
Hedge. He came back to his Keeper with a story about a
treasure so beautiful that no one could resist it. It was, he
said, the heart’s price, the one trinket anyone would kill for.
And he’d almost found it, but to find one last clue, he’d need
to venture into the mortal world again.
His Keeper, a greedy, grasping thing, always looking for
a way to find power over others of his ilk, told Jack to go
and find this object, and not to return until he did. Jack
swore that he would, but he needed to open any lock, remove
any barrier and never be caught. He also needed a
way to light his travels, since the object was
sure to be hidden in some dark place. His
Keeper granted him these powers, but warned him not to return without
the object, swearing that the way to Faerie would be barred to him unless
he carried this priceless, nameless treasure in his hands.
Jack left Arcadia and then the Hedge, free of his durance. It
was only when he reached the mortal world once again that he discovered
that his Keeper had, perhaps, had the last laugh after
all. His heart was missing. His Keeper held it in Faerie
— and Jack could not return without an object that did
not exist.

Secrets:
Jack spent several years traveling with a Goblin
Market (as a prisoner, granted). As such, he knows the
Hedge well. It’s not possible to “know” the
Hedge as one would know a city, of course,
but Jack has an intuitive understanding of the
Hedge that makes him an invaluable asset to
any motley that needs a guide. Likewise, Jack
has an almost instinctive understanding of the
Gentry — it’s not as well developed
as he pretends (how could it be?), but he knows that
the Others do have some patterns to the way they
behave. Jack can’t explain it, but he’s good at guessing what
the True Fae might do or want, and this occasionally
helps him guess at how to beat them, or at least escape them.
Jack has a minor frailty, one that he keeps secret.
He can rest only if invited to do so by someone of higher
rank. He can’t even take a nap without permission if someone
of higher rank. No matter how weary he is, he must stay awake
and active (though not moving, necessarily).

Mask:
photo 06942ae3-b286-48a2-a0b9-037ee3fd9c3f.jpg

Mein:
Behind the mask, Jack's frame and features take on a more eldritch tone, while his blue eyes seemingly glow with a fire within. Perhaps the most striking is the way that light seems to gravitate towards him, wreathing him in a faint ethereal light. Most find themselves following him with their eyes; so captivating is his presence. His mantle reflects his strong connection to the ideals of the spring court. When he lingers; an area seems to become more lifelike, hearts beat a little faster in the company of Jack.

Shall claim matthew and jack for princess Rose. Though jack, some of your powers like compelling could be seen as god like so may want to tone sone of those powers down in your bio. Other then that it looks good.

Ifelldownthewell, your character seems too modern day. Plus this kingdom isnt set in japan and it seems like your character is living there no instead of coming into the kingdom.

Name:
Ksenia (pronounced Ka-sen-ee-a)
Gender:
Female
Race of vampire:
Succubus/vampire mix
Age actual:
80 years old
Age looks:
18
Eye color:
light blue
Hair color:
black with two green highlights
Height:
5'6
Weight:
128
Status:
Single
Personality:
Ksenia is a very random and spontaneous vampire. She can go from calm to erratic in about a few seconds. She truly enjoys making others around her happy or at least at ease. She's a people pleaser and will do anything to make the person or people she is around like her. Even if it;s using her powers to do so. Her feelings kinda get hurt easily, as odd as it seems for a succubus. She doesn't acknowledge the power she could hold over people if she were to use her power to it's full extent.
Distinguishing feature(s):
Her eyes
Power:
If she doesn't pay attention she can steal people's life-force through their mouths with a kiss. She can also bewitch people with a touch, and to feed from sexual energy.
Weapon(s) of choice:
As a human, she studied hand to hand combat secretly with her father. But she prefers not to fight.
Appearance:

History:
Ksenia was to to a very religious and strict family. Due to this, it made Ksenia live a very sheltered live, oblivious to the world outside of her home. Her father was hardly home when she was younger, and it left her mother with control over the household. Her childhood was spent learning bible verse, cleaning, and being raised to be the perfect wife and godly woman. But as she grew older, her father came home more often.

One night, she sleepily stumbled into her father's private room where he was holding a meeting. In the middle was a body. Before she could run out, her father caught her explaining that he was actually a vampire hunter. He explained to her that there was more to the world than meets the eye. From that point on, Ksenia and her father spent more time together. He began teaching her how to defend herself. But before she could finish training with her father, tragedy struck.

One morning, she was out in the barn, taking care of the horses. Falling asleep in the haystack, Ksenia was unaware of the vampires that silently snuck into her house that night. They killed her family quickly. Waking up and making her way to the house, Ksenia didn't know what she was walking into. A lingering vampire attacked Ksenia, beatinbg her and making her weak before drinking her dry. But instead of killing her, the vampire decided to change her. As soon as the change began, the vampire left Ksenia lying in her blood.

Hours of pain was all Ksenia remembered. Her first few days as a vampire were a blur, but all she can remember is alot of blood and killing. But as the years passed, blood wasn't enough for her. She cut herself off from the world and from contact with people. She couldn't understand what she was.

Slowly, Ksenia began appearing in villages. She became more social. She was still hesitant and awkward, but being out in the world allowed her to find herself again. She even threw away her mother's religious raising and faced the truth of her being.

Name: Candice O'Leary
Age looks: 21
Actual age: 53
Eye color: piercing green
hair color: dark brown
height: 5'9
Weight: 125 lbs
Status: single by choice
Vampire: half vampire
Personality: Candice is a very sarcastic and crude person. Shes very vulgar and doesn't like being told what to do. Her past has made her a cold shell, but a very conflicted person. There is no one she hates more than herself.
Distinguishing features: her eyes and sharp smile.
Power: because she is only a half vampire, she has no real useful power. Her strength is slightly more enhanced than a human, but nothing extraordinary. She is in fact an empath, a useful emotional power passed on from her mother which allows her to feel others emotions and alter them slightly to her favor.
weapons: her only weapon of any kind is a small knife, about the size of a letter opener, that she keeps attached to her ankle.
Apearance: Candice has long brown hair, chest length and piercing green eyes. Her skin is pale as milk and her smile is just as smooth. She modestly pretty, and resides in a single pair of slack, patched pants, and alternates between 2 plain black cotton shirts throughout the week. She goes barefoot for the majority of her journeys.
History: Candice grew up in Glasgow Scotland with her mother, who grew up in Ireland, until she was 17. Her mothers beauty got the best of her when she was caught in the eye of a seemingly young man, by the name of Connor. Connor, whom Candice's mother found to be a vampire, was killed. Candice was unaware of her lineage until her 17th birthday when her mother cut her hand deeply, and Candice nearly killed her by the amount of blood she drank from her. Her mother died soon after from an unknown ailment which led her to being without a home and traveling the country side. Leading up to date she has worked as a bar maid, cleaning maid, and a traveling entertainer, singing for spare change.

Okay, ElviraTheFaerie the history is fine now but just keep in mind that the likes of "jeans, sneakers and t-shirts" are still modern day clothing and won't fit into 1500's roleplay. Just call them slacks, boots, shirts etc or however you wish to describe her attire. It's a trivial thing but still necessary jack

Apple22r, your character/history is fine but mayhaps just use the introduction guidelines next time if you choose to create a second character, i.e.

Name:
Gender (male/female)
Race of vampire:
etc

Candice and Lilyana have been claimed for Prince Daemon.
(Note: Daemon's royal thread is being updated at the minute so don't post in there yet ^^")

Name: Lillian Owen

Gender: Female

Race of vampire: Brujah (Vampire: The Masquerade)

Age actual: 153

Age looks: 24

Eye color: Hazel, with a hint of yellow

Hair color: Midnight black

Height: 5 feet, 6 inches.

Weight: 125 Pounds

Status: Single

Personality: Lillian tends to keep to herself the majority of the time, but she has a very short fuse, and, when provoked, will cause a problem. A "rebel without a cause" type that looks to defy any and all authority, Lillian frequently enjoys causing trouble in local taverns.

Distinguishing feature(s): Her short/shaggy black hair, and her garb. (Seems to be dressed more male than female; Black leather pants, with a white shirt and black corset over top)

Power: Strength, speed.

Weapon(s) of choice: Her fists.

Appearance: As a Brujah, she is able to physically surpass many mortal men. She is extremely toned as far as her muscles go, but has a relatively thin and long face.

She was embraced by the Brujah shortly after her mother's death, and became a well known fighter. She has no real home, and chooses to wander the streets, making money from pickpocketing or street fights.

Salina, there is no way that your character can be 545 years old. This cult is set in the 1500s. If she is born in 1468 then she is at most 35+ years old. Please correct this so you can be claimed dear. Thank you.

Shall claim Ivory wolf for Princess Rose. Though need to remember that the making someone love her with the eyes can appear to be god like. Also, the male thats by her side as a guardian, you cant actually speak with him since he wouldnt be apart of your title. Also you need to go read the rules of the cult and post there as well. Thank you.

That is fine as long as your history reflects changes such as clothes, items, modes of transportation for the time of 955AD.

Name: Desire
Gender: Female
Race of vampire: Pure Blood Vampire
Age actual: 45
Age looks: 19
Eye color: Dark brown, but turn red to times
Hair color: Jet black
Height: 5’2
Weight: 110
Status: Single
Personality: Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible, and dependable. Loyal to her peers and to her internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if it gets in the way of getting something done. Do not like conflict, and not likely to do things which may generate conflict. Flexible and open-minded, Desire can have an open conversation with pretty much anyone, whether they are a loyalty or mere servants, she tries to always treat everyone the same. Extremely intuitive about people, and concerned for their feelings. Desire has very high standards for herself and sometimes underrates herself.
Power: Ever since Desire was born she carried a gift to see through people, she couldn’t read their minds, but could easily tell when someone was lying to her. With just one conversation and sometimes one glance she can tell a lot about the person and very rarely she is wrong.
History:
Desire was born and raised into a very royal family. Raised almost as a princess, Desire always had whatever she wanted, but she never abused her power which made her a little bit of an outcast in her family. Disappointed with her daughters softness, her Father mostly kept her inside the castle, keeping her to her studies and beside her mother’s side, hoping that one day she will grow out of it and become a natural leader, since she was the only child. Much later on, when Desire turned 16 years, her mother became pregnant and gave a birth to her little brother. As her brother grew older, he started to become more and more like her Father, overruling everything with his power and becoming a titan.
At age of 19, Desire’s father died, leaving the throne to her brother. Just a few months later, her brother managed to go in war and destroy half of what her Father has built in years of his life. Unable to watch that any longer, Desire left the country, hoping to find a more peaceful life somewhere else.
For about 20 years, Desire was traveling, visiting many cities and countries, but only seeing more destruction than ever. In one of the cities she visited she came across a man who was a much older and stronger vampire than her. He became over obsessed with her and asked her to marry him and when she rejected his request he decided that if she couldn’t be his – she couldn’t be with anyone else and what seemed pretty quiet life turned into hell for Desire and once again she had to flee, looking for a safe place for herself. For next few years till this moment, Desire was fleeing from town to town, kingdom to a kingdom, but somehow the man always managed to find her and she was barely able to escape alive.
