In what appears to be another violation of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, scores of paramilitary troops and soldiers appearing to be from the National Guard were deployed onto the streets of Hartford, Connecticut to break-up a recent annual Puerto Rican-American cultural event.
According Infowars.com local correspondent Prince Vega, armed troops were able to lock down multiple city blocks in a matter of minutes.
“They had the biggest assault rifles i ever seen on the corner of Affleck Street (Hartford) in front of the police station. It was blocked off so no one can get through or even film it. They were jumping from all kinds of different trucks and cars on every corner where people gathered, and bullied everyone”, said Vega.
It’s still unclear exactly which branch of the military or special forces the troops were from.
Vega explained, “We didn’t notice any markings, but even friends of mine from the military said that those people aren’t regular policeman. They had armed men in uniform sitting in the back of trucks openly carrying assault rifles like they were grocery bags – it freaked everyone out.”
