A dark creature of sorts walked upon the harbor coming from her own throne. She wore a rather long plain black dress, no shoes of any kind and a hooded cloak that hid her slim yet curved figure. Deep ebony wings were folded behind the black attire not really sense well sense they blended into her clothing. For once the Egyptian Princess Ananksunamun wore something that hid her body rather then her normal attire of leather skirt and a long not very wide cloth wrapping around her chest. She felt no need nor did she wished anyone to come and bother her to any detail. She missed the one who gave her her children, the same man that never talked. She did not know if her beloved had no tongue or took a vow of silence or simply had no voice. She had never asked her dear love why and she saw no reason to ask of him why he spoke no words. Her dark ebony hair cascaded down her body stopping only at her ankles. For once it was curly are rather shiny when it hit any source of light. Her silver eyes shone even more from beneath her hood and for once looked void of emotion.
Annak wanted her mate back, the very man she had fell for all those years ago and this time she wished for him to stay and no longer have the need to leave. Not only that she long for his scent, to touch her lips to his and to feel his skin against her own. She needed to feel this and the need went on wanting for too many of months, and years. The boys were fully grown, Eragon had his own child but only for a few days before his blood tainted the child killing it. She was a grandmother but only for a few days. And Ryan, sweet Ryan had no male to call his. He loved only one and now he was gone leaving Ryan in depression. Anaksunamun tried her best to soothe such hurt but to no avail. Right now more then ever she needed her love back to soothe her own stress from not being able to comfort her children the best she would hope of. She closed her eyes and sighed gently hoping that Lich would return soon just so she could have him hold her once more or just quench her loneliness even for a short period of time before something or someone else had torn him from her. Her eyes faded to a light almost white blue as she looked to the ships on the dock and to the ship still at sea making their way here hoping, just hoping that her love would be on one of them for once.
She sighed and looked down at her companion that had followed her here, a yearling panther cub that could sense her sorrow. She gently petted the panther's head and sat among the wooden planks taking in the feline's scent that always seemed to of calmed her. She watched the tides hoping that they would just carry the ships even faster to port. She looked about seeing as she was the only one here and sighed more. "Tala what do you think I should do? What should I hope for?" She asked looking to the panther that just shook out her fur and licked Annak's face.
The day was hot enough in the kingdom’s harbour to work without the need of loose skin and as a cold salt-water wind rushed across the deck of his ship, Lich il forte e Silensioso welcomed it with a sigh of relief and the raising of his two arms. Trading had been going well this season seeing as Valinsport waters were free of smugglers and pirates had been scarcely sighted crossing the vale since the last summer was upon them. “All goes well Captian?” signed the most recent of his fresh water bretheren; a young man from the cape of Whitetree in the south with strange green hair and pale skin similar to that of freshly sprouted tree root. The hand signs had been a skill Lich had picked up in the Far East where he’d encountered considerable difficulty in understanding the common bravos tongue and as a result, a fair portion of his crew had tried their hands at learning it as well. Peytr, as he was called, had been one of the small few who’d proven successful. “The sun blazes and the wind is cool, all is well.” Replied the serpentine male, his hands changing into a variety of shapes before he placed an “x” across his lips and gestured to the harbour, indicating his next instructions thusly. “Silence would do well here; our coin purse will check his books and visit the seaport for trade”
With his meaning known, the sword dancer sighed as he carried a large wooden crate over to the ship’s bank, where soon they’d send out a ridge to offload their goods. The male had become bronzed sailing constantly over the eastern seas and his hair, which was pulled back behind his eye-catching features in a black head scarf, had taken on a lighter shade of russet. It was longer as well flowing down into the slope of his middle back where it ended in a series of wild dreads. His face remained unchanged, smooth-shaven and slender save for a sharp beard that had taken residence under his bottom lip and a pair of studded gold piercings that protruded from his right eyebrow. The only true change in his appearance worth mentioning was to be found in his eyes, or one lack thereof, for his left was covered by a dark-leather eye patch and his right was a soft emerald green. Of his attire, the dark-skinned male had draped his white mandarin shirt over the ship’s rail where its bloused sleeves flapped in the salt-breeze and beside that he’d hung a silver sleeveless vest. His abdomen was layn threadbare while his legs were clad in black satin cloth and coupled with brass buckled, brown leather boots that layn cuffed under his knees. All in all, he seemed suited to the role of a captain as was fitting of the brown double brimmed hat he wore atop his head-scarf with a silver feather tucked into its crown.
Anaksunamun looked to a ship that was closing ever so fast that had now begun to load off its goods, thats where his scent came from. Being so use to the dark of her cursed homeland she had hunted by sound and scent. And no doubt the scent of her beloved was on that ship meaning her beloved was now on that ship. She petted the panther's head before spreading her wings vastly open and with one good thrust she lifted her body into the air. She then flew just slightly above the water's touch before landing on the port side of the ship. There she walked to the bow of the ship closing anf fluttering her wings and looked for the one she had loved ever so greatly and patiently. Once the blue eyes had targeted her sweet Lich she walked over to him and grasped his arm tightly yet gently at the same time and pulled Lich to her own body and looked at him. She spoke no words for her own eyes that now seemed to not keep to one color held love and true happiness with in them. She gently touched his face and looked at him before simply touching her forehead to his.
Lich had truly changed some on his journey but now, now he was home and all hers as soon as the entire ship was bare of any goods that were to be placed upon the dock and traded or sold off to the proper people. Even with some of the goods still on the ship Lich was all hers and if someone even dared to challenge that they would be in for some lessons they wished they would ne'er learned. Still her eyes could not keep to one color as she looked to him changing from blue to silver to pink to red to brown even pitch black and every color that had laid between them. "You have been of these lands too long for my taste. The boys have grown and found their own partners and I have been left alone with my love over seas. Too many months and years have gone by. You are mine once this ship bares nor more of its trading goods." She said sternly to him for once in her life before leaning in close to his lips to feel them once more upon hers. She would not forcefully kiss him, it would not be right. Her hood feel from the crown of her head revealing her slightly paler skin, she had not been with in the sun and remained much in her shadows the last few months. She did not socialize nor left her throne not wishing to see the world as of late with no one to be by her side. Her sons having their own lives to be dealt with and her court barren of her court members.
As the winged female caused a gale to spurn the sails of the ship, a group of dark-skinned deckhands leapt from the game of dragon tak they’d been playing as the crates for trade had been brought up deck. One slightly larger than the rest began to call after the pale woman angrily in an eastern tongue while several of the crew who’d taken notice left their ropes and pulleys to reach for the hilts of their weapons. “This is no place for woman” called one of the crew in a sullied speech of the common tongue, running his scarred fingers under his chin as if to ward off an omen before spitting one the deck of the ship “You bring ill luck vampyr..”. With his statement made, several others took after him and ran their fingers under their chin whilst one clutched a sack cloth that hung from around his neck. It was the blonde male who saved her, or rather saved them from an imperial’s wrath as he motioned to Lich from the far-side of the ship “A winged woman comes” he signalled before pointing to the port-side of the ship with a mistrustful expression, remembering only too well the danger they’d faced when last a stranger had entered their mists; a siren of the ocean she’d been no less..
As the one-eyed captain turned to face his approaching companion, his iris sharpened suddenly before a sinister numbing of the senses overwhelmed the enraged crew, casting them into silence. “No danger..” he signed to those who could understand before coming face to face with the pale Anaksunamun of many coloured visions. As her hand laced with the toughened muscle of his left arm his other delved into the slight of her hip before wounding into the curve of her lower back pulling her in tight to his abdomen. Her scent was that of the wild forests of the kingdom where’d he spent many a day hunting and resting in the browning leaves, fresh herbs and the fragrance of wildflower and wildlife. As she simply gazed into what was left of his sight, he sighed leaning down to press his forehead against hers as she had intended; and with that, the sword dancer allowed her into his mind. Wild seas of froth and white mist stretched as far as they eye could see and jutting forests of stone leapt from sand dunes and islands long lost from memory. Ancient runes and carved hovels served as roofs while hammocks and lavish sheets churned to the motions of the gentle waves. Blazing dawns and sunsets of every colour laced her mind in all manners of kingdoms and strange civilisations while silvery moon-lit nights illuminated stilled waters that appeared to mirror the heavens above so it seemed the world was neither high nor low but everywhere. All manners of races and characters, beasts and flying folk, birds of prey and glorious dragons filled the lands where’d he been and lastly there was nought left but a vision of the kingdom drawing ever closer but never close enough to reach. “There is beauty beyond these lands..” spoke a voice in her mind, aged but young, strong yet silent, smooth and yet rough. It was similar to nothing that she had ever heard or would ever hear again. It was a voice that held power. It was then that Lich kissed her, long and passionately with his arms wrapped taught into her comely hips and deaf to all but the crashing of the waves and the scent of Annak and the salt water breeze.
Annak looked at the men on the ship and laughed a little dark even for Annak it seemed dark. "I suggest if you want to harm me you do it with more than just a mere blade or blunt instrument." She said bluntly to them before looking back to her love ignoring the males of the ship. They did not know of whom she was and she was in no mood to draw blood nor attack. Nor did she want to seem as a threat after Lich had signed no danger. She had learn the way of speaking with hands so that when he returned and she just wanted a quiet day with him she could have such a thing. She saw that he gained muscle, a well built tan, that his voice was rougher yet gentle then the last time they were together. That he had lost sight or eye from the left of his face. She sighed, each time he left something had changed him, she loved him no matter what. She smiled kissing him back hearing the voice she had so long missed with in her mind. Lich and Eragon were the only ones to be allowed into her mind. As the long passionate kiss ended she purred at him. "And it is the beauty and knowledge of this land that brings you back to me." Anaksunamun has stated.
"I believe I will need to wait ashore so your men can do their duties with out worry of some ill omen be brought to your ship." She had spoke into his mind before looking at the men on the boot, shadows just oozing from beneath her before she opened her wings. "Superstitious old coots, the lot of you. I have been on more ships then dry land then most of you. I have never brought any omens to those ships. But to make you feel at ease I will wait at the docks for my beloved. But I warn you if you so much as ever threaten me, I can and will show you a darkness that will haunt your dreams." She said sternly before giving one good thrust of her wings and just landed lightly over the water freezing a small passage way to the docks before she sat there quietly and petted the panther telling her to return home. She stood on a post watching the boot from afar and sighed lowly. "Men and their superstitions of woman." She said to herself more then anything.
As the imperial spoke unto the dark-skinned men of the Braavos isles, their glares darkened but none would dare speak haughtily in the presence of the one-eyed silver dragon. They slipped their hand from the hilts of their weapons before turning from the female, some muttering and other tossing an eastern curse in her wake before settling back to work. “They mean no harm my lady, we are but simple men here and suspicious by nature” spoke the male known as Petyr as he turned from his captain and the pale woman he held close to his side. The storms they had braved were periled by none other than harpies and other such creatures that took on the alluring form of a women, beautiful and yet terrifying to behold as they’d dragged dazed men over the aisle of their ships. Even for the crew who had family in the Kingdom and knew of the difference between and a creature and a loving wife, still looked upon her with subtle distrust and a pinch of fear. Such a simple thing it was, fear, and yet it turned hardened soldiers of the seas into broken men.. As Anak sighed into the warmth of his embrace, Lich stared into her ever-changing eyes silently in apology, though he knew too well that was the way of the distant oceans. Either a man changed to the customs and the dangers of the far-off civilisations or he found they changed him unwillingly; the way of a land could drive a man to madness, to the point he would dribble froth and think to feast upon his own flesh and blood. These were the kinds of men he’d had to leave behind, as so he left parts of himself where’er he roamed. There could come a day he knew where he would arrive on the stone-cobbled shores and have only one arm to hold her if he was so lucky; and then it would truly be time to layn down his arms and take on the simple life of a common man. “Only you..” motioned Lich with his left hand, unaware to her knowledge of the language of hands, before using it to stroke the luminous complexion of her skin.
It was true; he shared no love for this land and the people who dwelled within it. There was freedom and contentment to be found beyond these plains and he sought to bring her with him when next he roamed, for surely he would raise his sails again; the salt water was in his veins and he would yearn for it again soon enough. As Anak spoke of leaving his men to their duties, the emerald-eyed brigand nodded his understanding before giving a shrill whistle to the men that lay by the sides of the crates loaded upon the deck and gestured to the master of coin that hung by the entrance of the top cabin; a wistful old man with a grey beard and little or no hair left upon his head. “Split coin for men’s pay..” motioned Lich before rubbing his fingers together in a manner that brought a grin to the faces of the crew nearby. For those who knew little of his language, they knew this meaning well enough and with a chorus of voices in both the common tongue and the speech of the eastern and Braavos men, the crew swelled together before loading the crates onto their shoulders and taking them off-deck, albeit with a narrowed gaze at the walkway of ice.
Chris lately had found himself often standing at the harbor with thoughts of leaving on his mind there seemed to be not much for him here and he felt more and more out of place like he really didn't belong here. While in this state of mind not even the harbor master dared to interrupt his thoughts. it seemed to happen a lot lately like he was possessed to stay in his head he told himself " this is the day I'll leave the kingdom..." then another voice counter " but what if by some chance i miss out on something and it would be a mistake to leave" his mind bounce back and forth like that for sometimes a few minutes other times a few hours before he returned to what he now considered to be his temporary home.
Desire slowly opened her eyes as she heard the loud sounds of busy life of harbor; her ship has finally arrived to her next destination. The first thing that popped to her was the clear dark skies, it was decorated with stars and almost full moon. Blinking few times, she pushed herself up from the blanket that she was laying on and softly sighed. She was safe for little while, at least for a few weeks or so.
Her hands gently went through her silky black hair, in her sleep she tend to toss and turn a lot, which often made her hair a mess. Pulling few strands on her face, she slowly got up, quickly straightening her velvet dress down, feeling hot gazes of men behind her. Rolling her eyes, she waved her hand at one of her servants, before asking him kindly to help her with luggage, which wasn’t much at all. With so much traveling, Desire got used to carrying very little with her. The sounds of people getting off the ship echoed around and she slowly followed the crowd off the ship.
It felt good to be finally being standing on solid ground again. She breathed in deeply the clear air around, even with so many people around her at this moment, she felt like she was alone. Breeze brushed against her, moving her black in beautiful waves, Desire closed her eyes for a split moment, just to enjoy that one moment. When she opened her eyes, reality hit her once again, it was crowded and busy and she was very tired. Slowly she made her way through the crowd, finally making her way to less crowded place, completely forgetting her servant. When she remembered about him, she quickly turned around, trying to find him in all the people getting off the ship; however she could not find him. She started pacing around, her warm brown eyes searched for only one boy and before she knew, she bumped into someone. ”I’m so sorry, Sir” she said quickly, almost falling down on her knees, because of her long dress and very little strength to keep her balance. ”I apologize” she said again finally gaining a little bit of her balance and bowing to the man before her.
Chris turned around and grabbed her hand to help her regain her balance and then let go " don't worry about it you just snapped my out of my self induced trance anyway... Are you alright you seem somewhat distressed?" he asked with a concerned tone in his voice having nothing better to do he figured he could at least be of service to someone, as it wouldn't do him any good just standing out in the misty harbor all night " i don't believe we met before I'm Christopher but you may call me Chris for short... what your name"
Desire was quiet surprised by the sudden warmth of the man who now kindly spoke to her. She straightened up and shook her lightly, a small smile played on her lips ”I just arrived, it has a very long road for me and as I arrived I got completely taken away by the feeling on being on the solid ground again and I’ve lost one of my servants who supposed to have my things” as she said that, a man came behind her, he was more of a boy than a man, he had a luggage in his hands and without even turning around Desire said in soft voice to him ”Oh, okay, good, I’m glad I didn’t lost you.” her attention came back to the man before her as he spoke out his name, she bowed once again, her hair falling on her face, her fingers brushed the stands of them off as she looked up at him, meeting his eyes ”My name is Desire, Christopher.” a soft blush appeared on her cheeks as she said that and then added ”I will call you Christopher, I don’t think we known each other well enough to go by short names”
he raised a brow at her being so formal " I insist I'm not the type to stand on ceremony plus my name is a bit of a mouth full to say in the heat of the moment." he looked over to see her servant thinking that was at least on crisis averted but all the same it disappointed him as well because once again he had no purpose " that's a lovely name i can see why it was given to you" he tried to flatter her with the best compliment he could think off.
Desire smiled to the man, shaking her head ”I think you have a very beautiful name, I actually enjoy pronounce it the way it is. After all, our name was given to us for a reason.” she applied before turning her head around to her servant and asking him kindly to get her a room and leave her luggage in there, with that she took out a pouch of coins, which was a fair good amount and handed to him, bowing slightly to him and thanking him for his job. It was somewhat strange to see a woman like her treat a mere servant like a normal person. The boy only smiled brightly to her and nodded his head, quickly heading off to finish his task.
Her attention once more was bought back to Christopher, she lowered her brown eyes before speaking to him once again ”I apologize, I assumed that I wasn’t the only one who was tired from this trip, Gabriel” she shook her head towards the boy walking away ”Has been traveling with me for quite a while now and has always been very kind to me, so I thought it would only be a good thing to let him rest now. After all, I’m going to be here for a while.” she blinked a few times, remembering the fact that she might have been still followed by the man who was obsessed with her, the name of whom she couldn’t even speak of. Multiple times now he has tried to kill her and almost accomplished it twice, but Desire was able to escape. Now on run for so long, Desire was getting more and more reckless, getting caught off guard. Sighing softly, she turned her gaze back to the man before her ”Would you mind to sit down with me? I have a little bit of time before I have to go off to my new home and I want to enjoy a little bit of this breeze and quiet beautiful night” she asked him kindly before waving towards a little bench not far from them.
" of course I think i'd enjoy some company especially from someone as charming and kind as you..." he carefully brought his arm around her shoulder and walked with her to a bench on the docks, making it a short walk Christopher offered her the first seat. he had a sense that she was in distress and not many young woman even vampires would travel this frequently unless they were on the run but he would leave that question for later.
Desire’s cheeks turned slightly pink because of the way he spoke of her and as his hand gently touched her shoulder she shrugged lightly. She hasn’t been touched gently for a very long time now, someone touching her always bought her some bad memories from the past, but it was a different touch this time, so she just took a deep breath and let it go. Sitting herself down, she brushed her hair on side of her one shoulder, exposing her porcelain skin, her right shoulder was now completely bare. She was perfection; it was hard to imagine that she was now really all alone at the harbor full of people who can probably easily hurt her.
Desire was quiet young and since she never used her powers to do any harm, she was rather weak as a vampire. Her ability to see people through was probably the only thing that kept her somewhat safe; she knew when she needed to run, who she could trust and who she could not. As she glanced at Christopher she sensed that he was just as troubled as her and she saw absolutely no danger from him. At this moment she felt somewhat safe. Taking her attention off of walking by people and some noises around them, she met his eyes ”Thank you, Christopher” she said relating to his compliment earlier ”So what brings you here? Are you waiting to leave soon?” Desire wasn’t exactly a person that could make a conversation easily, but she hated the awkward silence between two people.
" something like that it was really more like i am contemplating my eventual departure from this place in all honesty i wouldn't need a ship to leave... my wings are efficient enough to get me from place to place" he leaned back relaxing now staring out into the open water " what about you judging from your scent you travel a lot yourself " there was a chill traveling with the breeze as a low wind blew in their direction.
There was a confused look on her face as he explained himself, Desire cleared her throat and let him finish, the question he asked caught her off guard, but she didn’t immediately answered to it ”Why would you want to leave?” the question was simple. Desire has left many cities behind her, some from plain reason that she was on a run, some because they were ruled over by titans and she could not stand the terrible things that were happening there. ”What makes you want to leave?” she asked yet another question and then looking away from Christopher she added softly while looking at the ocean not far from them, she looking far into the distance, her voice got somewhat sad and disappointed ”there is really not much out there. I think it gets worse the further away you go.” she shrugged, and turned her attention back to him ”That is why I’m here. Running away from my past and looking for a place that will keep me safe and happy. I don’t know if this is the place, but I heard a lot about it, so I have high hopes for it. Hopefully my hopes won’t be shattered to pieces once again.” as she finished talking she sighed softly and half closed her eyes. She was exhausted from running for her life, she was not scared to die, but she wanted to die in peace, dying to the man that was obsessed with her was not the way she wanted to go down.
" found it somewhat difficult to find acceptance here. I spent sometime in the frozen north in solitude with the occasional stray polar bear to keep me company and I want to be with someone my by side after nearly a century of being alone" Chris was much like her for sometime he too ran from his past and isolated himself in a place that no one could reach him but it seemed to have worked to well now that he was looking for a measure of change in his life. Desire's company did provide him with a measure of relief from that loneliness.
Desire shook her head lightly. After all of these years moving and running, she barely had much of company herself, but she had occasional friends and people who helped her along the way. She could easily relate to how Christopher felt, but at the same time she couldn't, all her life she raised by her mother, her Father, even though he didn't accept her personality and who Desire was, still cared for her until the last moment. The only person in her family who never cared for her much was her brother. She let out a soft sigh, thoughts of her brother somewhat brought up some bad memories from the past, but she was able to quickly turn them off. Turning her attention back to Christopher, she smiled warmly to him "Im sure one day you will find someone who will make you happy and keep you company. It is all about waiting and being patient." as she said those words, she could barely believe in them herself. Maybe it was the truth, with time things always get better, but for Desire things have been getting progressively worse. She wondered if Christopher felt the same way about his life at the moment. Well, I'd be lying if I said that I believe that things get better and I'm not one to say that I have a lot of patience. However" she glanced away and moved her gaze up to the skies, smiling with just a corner of her mouth "I believe that if you keep fighting for what you want and not give up, you will end up getting everything that you want. Set a goal for yourself and follow it." as she said that she moved her gaze back to Christopher and added "Why don't you try to socialize? You seem like a very nice man, Christopher, I see no reason why you would lock yourself from outer world. Maybe that is your problem, maybe the happiness if out there for you but you haven't searched hard enough for it." as she finished talking she realized that she said a lot, clearing her throat and feeling now somewhat awkward she whispered softly "I apologize, I probably said too much"
"perhaps or for all i know that someone who changed me in a small but crucial way is sitting right next to me" he never once took his cold clue eyes off her and without noticing it he was getting closer to her by the second her lips were so tempting to kiss. " i should thank you because i think some of those words you just spoke have an air of truth" he wrapped on of his white wings over her shoulder to keep her warm when he felt that Icy breeze coming again. he could sense her own pain and he speculated that she was troubled by her past in some way.
Desire raised her eyebrow, before moving gently away from him. Not that she didn't appreciate the fact that he was being nice to her, but she felt a little uncomfortable coming so close to someone when they haven't known each other even for an hour. She wasn't used to being touched either, therefore the soft touch of his wing on her shoulder felt somewhat nice, but she still pulled away and bowed her head to him before standing up "I apologize, but I must go now, I'm very tired from the trip I had to make, let alone the fact that I haven't eaten in very long time too." she felt somewhat bad for just having to leave like this, but she could feel the kind of impression she was leaving on Christopher and before it got anywhere, she wanted to leave it at where it was now. "I thank you for your company, Christopher" she said softly to him, her head still low "I hope to see you again very soon" and before Christoper could really say anything to her, Desire bowed once again and quickly paced away.
She felt bad, but she was still very uncomfortable with men, she just arrived to this place and the kind of vibe she was getting from him was slowly reminding her of the man who was now ruining her life. She shook her head as she quickly passed through the crowd, heading towards the place where she would be staying the night. She was sure Christopher was not like that and hoped that he wouldn't think that he scared her off, she just needed sometime alone, regain her strength. Surely, soon she will meet him again. Maybe by then, she won't be feeling so awkward by being close to a man.
P.S I will role play with you later Im starting a new job soon so I wont have as much time to be online anymore.
" i look forward to that time desire" he responded to her and allowed her to leave he knew that if she pressed on it would drive her away but maybe she would open up sometime later and he hoped that it could grow into something more he didn't know why but Desire had an allure that he could feel towards her perhaps because they were kindred spirits in some essence or maybe because she was the first that didn't fear him
