Just got a spoiler free review from an online Aussie friend of mine that saw it already.
"Might just be the best action/adventure movie ever made and that's not hyperbole. It's easily the best comic book related film ever made and funny as hell. There was more laughing during this film than any comedy I have seen in a cinema of late. Brilliant all around!"
“Doubt fucks everything. Take a foundation, no matter how strong, sprinkle generously with doubt, and watch it crumble. Me? I’m unfuckwithable."
The only complaint I have is that you don't see enough of Scarlet Johansens ass. [2]
You see a fair bit of it - they seemed to do everything they could do to get shots of her from behind. And Cobie Smulders' uniform is unlike any other of the female SHIELD agents uniforms we see.

Fucking awesome
No spoilers from me
but
i would have liked Hill to have had an introduction of some sorts.
And maybe some more action from her.
Glad hawkeye and widow got to show why they are on the team
Just came back from the theaters.. Now that was a kickass movie! I personally think it's the best movie for this year.
But after looking around, The american version of the movie has all the avengers chillin' together eating shawerma after the credits : couldn't find it online

Anything Josh Whedon touches turns into gold. I don't I think I hated anything he has done. It is nuts! Amazing film, just got back. He should direct most if not all the comic book movies, only because he knows what he is doing. At least grasp what the fans want. We want action but we also want story and substance. He nailed it. He nailed the characters, he nailed a good story for being an action film and he nailed what the Avengers were about. Loki is not exactly the greatest villain BUT the way he used him worked. It was a fantastic way of bringing a story together. Josh is really a fantastic writer... He does not do much but what he does do works and works well. I don't grasp why they didn't just sign him on to all the Marvel comics, he would have nailed every single one with out fail.
See what happens with the second one. I am sure they will keep Josh on considering this was amazing... And it is kind of rare seeing people cheer in the theater, as annoying as it is, I have not seen many people laugh so hard or be so crazy in a long time.

for some reason hardly anyone ever likes Dollhouse, but i really loved that show. i watched it on netflix and was sad that it ended so abruptly. i didn't like some of the actors in the show, but the show overall was fucking awesome. i really got into the story. AND THEN IT JUST FUCKING ENDED
who else thinks the actor that plays Thor talks just like Heath Ledger? dude's sexy.
i thought loki was a cool villain/i like the actor because he is so collected and in control most of the time, unlike a lot of villains who are way over the top even for comic characters. he's not a show-boaty type villain.
i was surprised that i liked scarlett johansson so much in this movie. usually i think she's way fucking overrated and just there to be eye candy. but she was actually really good in this. in fact, it might be one of the first things i like her in. i thought the way she does interrogation was kinda badass. though, WTF at her not having a russian accent?

Stan Lee has been saying for years that there will be an Ant-Man movie and a Shield movie along with a list of others and all the others have been made.
I was under the impression from the last panel Marvel Studios did that there will be a SHIELD movie with Maria Hill, Hawkeye, Widow, and other characters that might not support a full theatrical release
also, the 2 mutant cameo's that were supposed to be in it I did not see.

I love how someone who probably knows little about the comics would even ask that. Stark's tower and not to mention Loki was about being worshiped, he didn't care how or why... Even so, NY is the essential place to be with a lot of comics.

Brian Michael Bendis said once that anything important in the Marvel Universe that happens on/in Earth 616, happens in NY. Virtually every relevant character is "stationed" there.
