Disturbed is an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1996 when musicians Dan Donegan, Steve "Fuzz" Kmak, and Mike Wengren hired singer David Draiman. Since the band's formation, they have sold over 11 million albums worldwide, making them one of the largest grossing rock bands in recent years. The band has released three consecutive studio albums that have debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200; only six other rock bands have achieved this.
I haven't listened to them in awhile, but I decided to throw in their CDs for a spin tonight, and figured I'd make a thread.

I do like Disturbed, however they suck live. I saw them with Korn and i'll tell ya...they kinda sucked. They only played about 4 songs, they were somewhat cencered, and some notes were not hit.
Disturbed was the band of my childhood. My mother used to play songs from The Sickness in the car a lot, and I've been listening to them ever since. I don't know, maybe I only like them because their music is just what I'd grown up listening to, but I really like them.
I LOVE this band! Ten Thousand Fists was the first song I ever heard of theirs and I was hooked! My 3 favorite songs are Ten Thousand Fists, Decadence, and Down With The Sickness!
Oh, and I finally heard the song Hell today! EPIC!
I FUCKING AM IN LOVE WITH THEM FROM A KID ALL I WOULD DO IS HEAD BAND TO FUCKING THE BEST BAND EVER DISTURBED YOU WILL BE IN MY HEART AND HEAD FOREVER <3333 BIGEST FAN IN THE WORLD
I have many times. The only place that lists it as a genre of heavy metal is Wikipedia, and even then its very vague and wishy-washy about it.
And that same site lists Disturbed as a rock band, btw, after later name-dropping them in the nu-metal page.
Wikipedia's always been a little wishy-washy when it comes to defining music genres.
Seriously, the only people who classify nu-metal as being actually metal would also classify Slayer as death metal and CoF as black metal.
:S I'm not saying it's metal because it's got metal in the name...
It doesn't even SOUND remotely Rock. There's sites, people who are into metal but don't like Rock, but listen to Nu-Metal.
I see no references to say Nu-Metal is Rock.
P.S- Did I ever say 'OHH, IT SAYS METAL IN DA NAME SO IT MUST BE METAL' No. I did not.
"I'm not saying it's metal because it's got metal in the name..."
but you feel it should be part of the metal section, even though it will be locked. If it's not becuase of the name, why do you think it should be moved to the metal section?
"You think Linkin Park is a metal band, don't you?"
seeing as I have heard Linkin Park when there were nu metal and 2 Minutes to Midnight. I can say Nu Metal is rock with out the turn tables,DJ and and the rapper, which means Nu Metal is very much rock
I don't care if it's moved or not, I'm allowed an opinion on what genre the band is, and I don't really think it's even Rock.
No need to both jump on me, we both have seen two definitions on Nu-Metal. I'm not gonna change my mind on it not being Rock, so no point in making me out to be a complete dick. I believe it's Metal with a hint of Rap and other stuff.
Don't lock it or move it, everyone's entitled to their opinions.
Linkin Park? You're just looking for an argument, aren't you? Very sad indeed. If you wish to take this 'argument' further, Inbox me. I'm not going to reply to this.
Have a good day.
