Hahaha here to rant about this game it's fucking bad ass it shoul be in the catagory of Call Of Duty MW3 and skyrim. I say for myself being a girl gamer we get alot of shit talker but do I give a fuck No! Lol right now I am stuck on the storage room of amnesia an seem to be frightened hahaha. Any ideas??? I totally respect your arguement, cry of fear and slender army all that great bit amnesia was way better than silent hill at least, Call of duty mw3 is in a different catgory than skyrim and amnesia but hey in my top 3 is call of duty amnesia then skyrim but teres many more games to choice from to be honest. Just to put I out there amnesia everyone should tryst least. The editor o the grunts and the story lune is just fantastic to me more than meets the eye, story behinds it makes you want to finish. Call of duty has also a story behind it as soooo publishers said but they won't ever understand there selves I think it's more of the category of little big planet it's not as much fun until you have others. Now Zelda the original and super smash bros all star orginal(in my opinion the original is always the best) they should have kept them out!!! Like batman I would have to say he is the most realistic hero out there like the punisher,super man spiderman cat woman all them others have all these storys like toxic waste spiders and just crystals and kryponi. But really why none real? I can honestly say the creators should have huge props.
True true, there is the game I loved when I was younger was Alone in the dark. Them games were the shit. Conkers bad fur day and all them. I researched on my past and searched for them canes even if I wasn't born when they came out I'll still play.
But regarding the game; it was alright, what disappointed me most with it was it's pathetic mess of a story. It made almost no sense and one way or the other you won't care one bit about as soon as the game is over. It could have used characters, character interactions, and actual cutscenes, but all it delivered was talking notes and jars. It's a story driven game with almost no execution of said story.
In the end it is just a rehash of the old Penumbra series. It was good for 1 run through but leaves no lasting impressions except for the easily frightened players. I personally found Dead Space on hard mode to be more frightening. Ya, try getting through that game with what little health/ammo you can scrounge up and tell me you aren't scared. I beat that campaign's final boss on my last clip of ammo with nothing else left in my inventory. That's an accomplishment. What did the ending of Amnesia give me? All you have to do is throw a zombie head into a portal with a few clicks and you win. That's it; it's one of the easiest fights in game history. It's almost as easy as the Fable 2 final boss fight, but that one takes the cake because there you can literally just sit idle, doing NOTHING, and the game will give you victory. There is no real satisfaction upon completing Amnesia like other horror games.
That I give you props on! The atmosphere was amazing though! The story in some way had me hanging alittle but curious to me my number one favorite is sims I know it's not horror or fantastic but I'm into role playing medevil bullshit, I'm about to get me a new ps3 with skyrim resident evil 4 madden 10 and call of duty mw3 soon, I can't wait to be honest I love the world of gaming it's actually art to me!!! The sketching the art the story lines amaze me, me I want to be a novelist so I'm hoping to create a story line and make It into a game because this is what I love to do,now eveyones arguement I respect, I really cannot wait to explore some more. Like I'm a big nerd with marvel and comic books robots learning from Vsauce and other gamers such as pewdiepie ect. It amazes me with all the glitches and things that need to be fixed I used blender a couple times and amnesia editor so I'm trying to pick up on gaming. Lol but to be honest I'm here to basically rant and respect and to disagree and agree I love to do this with other people learn and share your information yourself yeah I'm young but I can be quite intelligent not to be conceded but it's true. I'm not like other teenagers I've upgraded so many times because of it and I'm scared of it myself. My mom and fathers differences showed me a part of life that I never knew existed and I used it to grow up alittle too fast and there's no turnin back but I'm not here to talk about my life. I'm here to share with gamers and rant.
Object of the game is to play at 12 am at night aline with lights off lol now they should make a Halloween costume of it to be honest. Amnesia is probably a great game to play drunk with friends. Now I want to try that. rofl
Pretty much how we played it. It's all fun and games when you're with people, but getting home alone and walking down your hallway is friggin' damaging to your mind when you are expecting monsters behind every door.

lol well recently ive been stuck on cos play's of call of duty and skyrim have bought a warrior female outfit fit of fine leather from italy and red fox fur so im pleased with my purchase but as for my video gaming there's one game i pre orded recently and it was care page for black ops 2,battlefield i did not like and i have downloaded slender call of duty edition and hospice. there's too many game's i have downloaded and funny thing is ive done video gaming all my life started out on sims bustin out and mortal combat and beavis and butt head so the systems i first started out on was nintendo 64 which led to conker's bad fur day beavis and butt head and mainly crash bandcot then xbox which was for mortal combat this mortal combat you walked around and did thing's like a skyrim game but less graphic's i loved it alot. then lastly was ps2 were i played call of duty sims and other games that applied to my adventureing. i can say i am a comic game geek that love's to do cos play and adventure myself not just in a game, i replayed life version of skyrim not too long ago a journey of my kind and self me and some cos play friend's went up state here and florida with family to create a fort were not done but it's very pleasing it's our size replica of whiterun in skyrim yes it's walk in and its not going to be huge as a big city it's our fun size creation if you ask me. amnesia was one of my best horror games of all time the story line just took me away even though i got confused at times im not the one to judge but alone in the dark was also in the round in my book along with skyrim just a child hood game i used to be scared of but still played.
ill check it out, the other games that i also liked was zelda the original and mario everyone basically loved them but what they did to mario now just blew my mind i was upset about it because the original is always the best. guild war's and WoW i like, and sometime's idk why but i always carry my 2 ps3 controller's around my belt and all my gaming accessories on me like head set and mic, controller's and i do character make up based on character's like pac man or ms.pac man or sometime's beavis and butt head game play one sence and i downloaded the emulator on my andriod so i can play mario original five star and the one where he can be a racoon looking thing lol and all the original's, horror games adventure and RPG's are my life lol
I enjoyed this game, one of my favourite horror games actually. I found that playing it in the dark with a good pair of headphones really improved the atmosphere - hearing the heartbeat in your ears and noises all around you.
I agree, graphically and story-wise (and physics) there are far greater games, but what I enjoyed about Amnesia was the atmosphere it created and the run and hide style opposed to run and gun. This was the reason i can never find dark space (etc) scary. I don't feel i can be scared with a high powered space weapon and the aliens (or whatever) run at you from the other side of a corridor.
It was a very fun game and it truly scared the shit out of me. Yeah there were a lot of bugs and many of the ideas could have been executed better. It's like Assassin's Creed in that way. Although AC was done by Ubisoft but Amnesia is an indie game on a miniscule budget and timeframe done by a team who, by their own admission, were winging it. So with that in mind I'd say it was amazing.
Also, like Assassin's Creed, the sequel is looking like it'll work out most of the things wrong with it. A decent budget, time to work properly and they've hired the Dear Esther crew.
