the problem is most most of these people seem to listen to bands which are new or bands which nobody has heard off becuase it makes them look "cool", when in reality you come off as an arse.
Show them bands from the 50's 60'd or 70's and the reposnse is "they are gay" "lol (insert band from this year) is better".
Normally I would post singers, but there's now people who claim they like a certain band, just because you mentioned them
I would go with James Maynard Keenan (Tool/A Perfect Circle) for his versatility and passion.
Or Skin from Skunk Anansie...Skin has the ability to go from sweet ballad vocals to massive aggressive choruses, and she sang with Pavarotti which was weird
And of course Freddie Mercury had an insane range and vocal power.

I like SdRecords Maynard Keenan From Tool/Perfect Circle. Since Perfect Circle is one of my fav bands. And dang you I'm going to go listen to them now XD
