Hey there, I'm a vocalist and have a little thing going which other goth/vamp-minded vocalists and music lovers might find interesting. I've been singing for many years, do a number of classic goth star impersonations and have a tidy little recording/broadcast studio in my home. I use a custom-built mic (a Shure 58beta in a vintage 55 shell - has lights and everything, lol), sing live and track through a UA-LA2A610 vintage preamp for gain and compression and use a TC-Helicon Voicelive2 with custom presets for effects processing. I have thousands of backing tracks, a few hundred of which (the rare stuff you can't find elsewhere) I mastered/recorded myself (using software instruments, samplers, live instruments and parts of the original tracks).
Anyways, I've been broadcasting a late-night stream of vampire lovesongs by request for my VF friends and it's been going extremely well. I have the video set up in old horror movie style (black & white, camera askew, vintage film grain, etc. with smoke, lights and props) and the live sound is really quite good. I'd be lying if I didn't concede that some of the popularity comes from my flirting with the ladies, but I do it for love of the music primarily.
Tune in if you're interested, the stream usually runs Saturday nights at midnight EST. This week (last week of July) it'll be running Thursday midnight because I have a live music party on Saturday.
