watched first 2 seasons. stopped watching it as every episode seemed the same. and sheldon.. well you wouldn't be friends with him. You'd have him sent to a mental home for people who cannot function in society properly.
Fav moment: when Amy surprise Sheldon with a romantic dinner consist of Super Mario Bros theme music, Strawberry Quik drink, and spaghetti with hot dogs cutting up like what his mommy always made.
I love this! Does anyone know if it's on Netflix? O;

Worst show I've ever seen. Like Ramma said, every episode is the same. And it's far from funny, which makes it even worse. LOLOL IM A GEEK LOLOL LOOK AT ME DO NERDY THINGS LIKE READ COMIC BOOKS AND TALK SCIENCE LOL SO FUNNY LOOOLLLLLL
To each their own. I personally like it. It's better, to me, at least, than a lot of things, like Family Guy or things like that. Those are repetitious. Maybe I like the fact that it's mostly "smart" humour, whereas there's a lot of dumb humour out there.

lol That's another thing. "Smart" humor. Being the disgustingly overuse 'geeky' stereotype where they, like I said, do nothing but talk comic books and science doesn't make it smart humor. It's just a show that's making money off of the current fag to be omgzsonerdygeeky. If you actually think about it, it's pretty much family guy for geeks. But instead of Family Guy's use of random cutaways that usually have absolutely nothing to do with what's going on, Big Bang Theory uses random bullshit rants on comic books or science which usually have nothing to do with what's going on. The people who watch this show are usually extremely stuck up and think they're so much smarter than average television viewers because they watch a show about people who are smart. No.
"Maybe I like the fact that it's mostly "smart" humour"
I prefer humour where I can understand, and it seems to imply that people with asperger's syndrome are a bunch of geeks who like to use big words to sound intelligent which is bullshit.
Also it's been revealed Sheldon doesn't have aspergers, he was just making it up to get attention
Try experiencing something rather than falling in with the bandwagon when you comment on something.
A lil bit of empiric experience would do wonders to open the mind and cure that tunnel vision
As for:
If it's about sterotypes they need the following:
How shut-in are you? And there are many other terms which can be substituted for that.
It covers the generic archetype of the high school nerd, taken into the adult environment. There are the expectations of parents - culturally and generically, portraying both American, Indian and Jewish perspectives, and dealing with parental issues and larger societal concerns.
It covers a lot of stuff and I'd not be surprised if this hadn't been constructed exactly to have such broad appeal, although it may just be a happy circumstance.
"Try experiencing something rather than falling in with the bandwagon"
seeing as I do have aspergers, I can say this:
, I think it's more the less the other way round, the show thinks that people with Aspergers think and act like Sheldon which again is bullshit.
Therefore it seems they are the ones jumping on the bandwagon. If the show done some resarch on Aspergers they would see it's not something to make fun of
i recommend it . it's actually a cute dorky and funny comedy lol i never thought i'd like it but i saw an episode at my friend's house and became hooked, maybe you will too XD
