Fred Dekker should have stayed within the horror genre.
Robocop definitely had potential to be a classic franchise, but they fucked it up considerably. Don't even get me started about the live action TV series.

Exactly like the 70's/80's then.
I like the look of it. Its something that after the first one came out and film tech advanced could probably only be done now. Though I am worried about some of the art style like the look of ED and I get the feeling considering what the old Robocop looked like the new one will probably look something like a cross between the new Galactica Centurions and those Sith Trooper looking robots from the new Total Recall.
