Here's a rather decent F2P game that just hit Steam. I tried several F2P shooter games lately and this is the best one out of the bunch. It's really fun, has a lot of cool art and customization, and a really good F2P model.(It's not pay 2 win like TF2 or Blacklight)

Eh after a few days I decided to drop this and go back to Space Marine and TF 2. I'm sure almost EVERY new player from Steam is doing that. Why? Well the game modes suck and Microvolts also has Paid gear advantages I didn't realize when I first made this thread. After more hands-on time I realized that it is completely Pay 2 Win. They actually expect you to pay for your competitiveness on the field. I don't like that at all.
Not that I'm against putting money into a F2P game(I pre-ordered the 120$ MechWarrior Online deal and had a League of Legends account with 125$ put in it), but I am against unfair gear/combat advantages for doing so. In games like this you're either over the bridge as a Premium or under it as a freebie user. There is no balance and that effectively ruins the game for players like myself that want a fair battleground.
I also don't get the point of a Pay 2 Win model. If you're forcing players to buy their combat competitiveness on the field then you may as well have just sold the game for a retail price because they have to pay anyway if they don't just want to be fodder for Premiums. Either be fair, or just sell the game without falsely posing as F2P. One or the other. Microvolts has doomed itself and the P2W model is the entire reason I won't spend a dime on it.(If it wasn't P2W I most likely would have bought that discount starter kit so I could have a pimped out looking character and grind unlocks faster. But it is P2W so I uninstalled it instead.)
TF 2 may have a very crappy item drop system but the items actually provide very little(Often none at all) advantage over players without them. Anything else is purely cosmetic or a grind time reducer. I'm also on Space Marine and bought some DLC content for that, which is all purely cosmetic or just adds more maps for me to play on. I have paid DLCs over vanilla box users and have 0 combat advantages over those without them. I got 2 skins with the power sword so it isn't that I'm refusing to spend any money at all; it's that I hate P2W.
