believe me when i say most kids believe the same shit you do about hardcore. no one likes tough guys, but ive encountered more in the type of hardcore you dig than powerviolence, grind, or whatever.
there are plenty of different kinds of those bands btw, powerviolence especially is a varied genre (less now), check out GASP or Man is the bastard. theyre 100% unique as fuck. its acquired but once you dig it it will change your life.
theres nothing wrong with bands like comeback kid, i think theyre pretty cool, but theres so much more out there.
there are SO MANY hardcore bands there are at least 100 youd definitely like. it takes a long time to find them sometimes and youll never know them all. just browse punk blogs, you can start with big ones like ICOULDDIETOMORROW or Terminal Escape.
do you like original harcore? black flag, bad brains, minor threat, negative approach, etc? if so, the next step would be the faster hardcore bands that would i guess be a big influence on grind, check out bands like Asocial, SIEGE, and deep wound. from there just go on last.fm and find similar bands. believe me, hardcore is WAY bigger than you think. there SO much out there.
dude im 15 and i know like an extreme amount of punk bands includeing the local ones from my town and hardcore and punk is about because its just about doing whatever the fuck you want and not giving a shit and if your into straight edge then thats what your into i mean come on really if you judge someone for what there into your no better then the waitress telling the punk rock kid to sit in the corner cause of his liberty spikes or your a fascist
