We get far more vampire topics in here, but werewolf/vamp fiction are getting thrown into the same category since they tend to go hand in hand. Any and all discussion of general vampire fiction - requests or otherwise - will go in this thread. The only exception is a thread intended to discuss one particular book or series. All other general vampire fiction threads will be deleted.

Have a series to suggest: The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod. It's a teenage vampire series, but not all that romance-y crap. Little bit of high school romance, but not like Twilight. Really good. The first book is called Eighth Grades Bites. Definitely worth buying.
Definitely a good series, yes. I read the whole series and liked it. I would also like to recomend the Evernight Academy books, and the House of Night books.
If you like Vampire books with a touch of other creatures you should try the Night Huntress Books by Jeaniene Frost it has some sex scenes some lovey scences but overall is a great book series
could anyone recommend works where the vampire is the bad-guy,An evil entity who isn't looking to redeem his soul. a vampire like the original Dracula in Bram Stoker'S novel?
hmmm not sure about that. Most of the time there is some charrie like that in most stories, but if you mean the main character? Not sure I know one of those. I could look for you and think about some of the ones I've read before and get back to you on that.
As much as I dislike Twatlight, it really has opened a can of thought worms for me. People say that vampires don't glitter ( and I definitely agree), they say that vampires burst into flames or melt.
If someone did a little research, they could easily poke holes in that theory too. There's only 1 or 2 actual vampire folklore stories that say that a vampire cannot live in sunlight. Even Bram Stoker's Dracula walked around in daylight. The inability to live in the sun was mostly created by Hollywood
"Even Bram Stoker's Dracula walked around in daylight. The inability to live in the sun was mostly created by Hollywood"
Yes he could walk in daylight, but it weakened him, he didn't have the same abilities in daylight as he did in darkness. Even though F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu was an unofficial adaptation of Dracula, I think that's where sunlight actually killing Dracula started.
"...and she would fall, because she forgot her wings again, and gravity never forgets."

I fully agree with this statement. I have read enough vamp fiction to be able to appreciate all forms of the fiction.
Even though I dislike twilight as much as anyone I must say that one vamp fiction I truly like is the manga Rosario Vampire. But that's just me.
