In scientific realms, they're called the Pyxicephalus adspersus (hence, "pixie.") They hail from Central and SE Africa, where they flourish during the rainy season. They are insectivorous and even eat the occasional mouse or rat, as they end up being over eight inches across and about 1.5 pounds!
I'll be in the market for one of these real soon. In fact, I've got an ad up hoping to catch one being rehoused. They're huge and actually not too bad for the occasional handling, if memory serves.
Any of you folks have direct experience with pixies? If so, would you describe your cage setups and how much you fed them as juveniles and adults?
