I'd have to say the Gold/Silver generation was my favorite, it just seemed to me like they had so much creativity that was actually good, The new series, which i play through multiple times also just feel like their running out of ideas, B/W 2 is supposed to completely change the way pokemon games are so hopefully its for the better, Still waiting on those Ruby/Sapphire remakes also. XD

I'm from the Red and Blue generation so it will always have special place in my heart, but I think the games have gotten better each generation. Despite my nostalgia, the older games had A LOT of issues that got fixed/improved in each new game.
Black and White have now become my favorite games even though I was turned off by the Pokemon designs, but I've warmed up to them. I also loved how it was the first game to have a REAL plot and a darker(by Pokemon standards at least)one at that.
