Alright, so I got microdermals by my hips yesterday. I know to clean them that I should soak them in sea salt solution. I tried to do this last night by mixing it up in a small shot glass like container and placing it over my piercings and creating a seal so the water didn't all leak out. Problem is, as soon as I pushed down a large amount of blood started pouring out into the water so I immediately took it off. It continued to bleed for a bit after this. I know that its important that you do not move the dermals when they're trying to heal so I was thinking the pushing to create the seal was potentially putting too much pressure on them. So do you guys think I should try and clean them a different way, or is that soaking method okay even with the bleeding? Did anyone else experience this the first time they tried to soak them?
In all honesty, I never completely soaked mine like that. I'd let water flow over them to carry any crusties away, pat them dry and leave them to it. The blood coming out considering they're very fresh is normal, as the skin around the dermals hasn't settle yet, is still "loose" and will allow blood out if the jewellery is moved out of the way.
What you might find easier is soaking a cottong ball in the solution and squeezing it over the microdermals so the water runs over them, rather than submerging them completely.
