I'm having this relatively weird issue and I haven't been able to find any related information online so I decided to give it a go at what people think.
Three weeks ago, I had a standard navel piercing done. Note that this is not my first piercing overall and I have experience with maintenance and healing.
So the navel piercing is generally healing just fine. The issue I am having with it is that whenever I press it/my stomach gently, I experience this weird - and at first shocking - pain in my backbone. It feels exactly like that time I fell on a set of stairs and hit my back hard against them.
Question is, is it possible that a nerve got caught up in the piercing which is responsible for this pain?
I understand that there are a few organs and types of tissue between the piercing and the bone, but the pain really seems to be related.
Any opinions welcome, thanks people.

It's possible that a nerve has been bruised/irritated a bit. It should get better in time (could be a matter of months), but if it gets worse rather than better, or the pain is unbearable, see a doctor.
Edit: woops didn't realise this thread was that old. Still, no one else replied so bumping can't hurt.
Haha, still cool to get a response. I keep getting the same reaction whenever I move/replace the piercing, though it did decrease somewhat.
Thanks for the advice. :]
