Seeing as my original post "no longer exists" according to this site, I am reposting my thread so you all may see my work
This is a commission of Amy Lee from Evanescence.
I drew it first with sketching pencils and once it was scanned, I thought it would look better darker, so I went into GIMP and used a burn brush to darken the image about 2 or 3 times, doing one more time for the eyes so they pop a bit more.
well you can certainly tell it is her. It is a good likeness. Some slight shading inconsistencies and line work issues around her left hand side. Definitely some heavier shading in the hair, as she has very dark hair. you did a good job with the burn tool, but maybe on the original a softer lead might help darken the hair up a bit....hard to tell what the original eyes looked like, but these are nice. I love the fluid effect you have gotten there...they are very nice eyes.
Over all, I think this is a very tight portrait. Probably just a little more focus is needed...you know, being careful to keep you lines straight and following through with consistent shading, that sort of thing. I think this is really nice.
Drawing of Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. Took me long enough but I've been procrastinating for a while lol. Collectively, it would have taken me about 2 hours to complete. I was going to leave the background white but I was afraid that, like with my Sweeney Todd picture, the hair would be lost into the background.
So yeah, the White Queen is copyright of Lewis Carroll and the costume and what not, is probably copyright of Tim Burton. Not sure of who owns what but whatever lol.
I like your work. You def have an eye for detail. Please show us more when able. Well done. Very awesome I love Tim Burton's take on Alice in Wonderland

Yes, I must also agree, that these arae very beautiful, but of course like others have mentioned there is room for improvement, but really swell job. Much better than a lot of er...'artwork' I've seen lately. (:
Nice drawings. Although the Evanescence one is perhaps technically superior (very nice eyes and the hair is my favorite part), I think I actually prefer the White Queen one. I really like the contrast between her confident and intelligent expression drawn in a clear and concise manner and the fuzzy ethereal quality of the rest of the drawing, especially her hair and the background.
Princess Serenity has slipped away from the Moon Kingdom once again, escaping to Earth to see the man she loves. She waits in a garden of roses, in the middle of which is a small, stone slab with a tribute to the deceased King of the Earth, paying her respects silently.
The rest of the little comic tells itself
I haven't drawn Sailor Moon characters in a little while and it's taken me about a week in total to get this how I wanted it. My computer crashed about...7 or 8 times in total while doing this, so the fact that I even finished it is amazing :P.
Read from left to right {yes, there is no dialogue. It feels like it needs none somehow}.
I refuse to mourn when your time comes
Don't think I'll be the only one
I don't believe that you deserve
To be graced with a plot of earth
I'll see you in hell
I see you focus on their eyes and wonder to myself as I look at your work if you draw them first... I do when I am doing a freehand portrait
I was gonna say don't be afraid to use black ( because the first two drawings I saw have black around the eyes and not much black black anywhere else) until I got to the MJ piece which is awesome!
