Yup, I have a darling one year old ball python named Frankie, he's happiest when he's out of his cage hanging out with us and likes to pull my glasses off of my face.
yeah well ive held a huge boa that was fine. if i know theyre not gonna bite
and theyre not venomous its alright lol. but i keep having nightmares
about snakes wanting to kill me haha
There's a fine line between the animals we keep as pets and the wild animals we fear. That's actually pretty normal if you were developed a fear for snakes.
Funny, maybe unrelated story: My girlfriend/roomie helps me care for our Chaco Golden-Knee and she used to be terrified of spiders. Once she discovered that she had a personality she's not really afraid of her, but the whole fear of spiders other than her is still there, though less prevalent.
The pets that represent are fears end up being the stepping stone to being more understanding and accepting of the wild animals we fear.
But I don't advocate going on a walk-about and picking up any snakes you don't normally toy with.

i have a male pastel red tail boa, female cinnamon ball python, and a gopher snake i might be getting a jungle carpet python at the reptile expo coming up over here :3
All I have right now is 1.0 Coastal Carpet Python. His name is Homicide because his attitude is sooo awesome. I wish I had money to get more but the carpet I want is $5k so I won't be getting that any time soon. In the past I have had Kings, Corn, Milks, Hog-nosed snakes, RTB, KSB, Irian Jaya carpets, and pretty much everything in between.
I would love to have a Gaboon Viper or any species of Atheris. Both the Bitis and the Atheris genus are an amazing genus of snakes. I wish more people would just get over their fear of reptiles, especially snakes and realize how amazing they are.
i now have 1 ball python,1 pastel red tail boa,1 jungle carpet python,1 gopher snake,1 turtle,5 leopard geckos,an 3 leopard gecko eggs in the incubator c:
I have a 10 foot Peruvian Boa named Vienna. I'm not sure how old she is, as she is a rescue and was abused before I got her. Her head was actually crushed under a tv when the rescue team called Viper found her. She had scale and mouth rot all over and had horrible mites. I took her home and though everyone told me to take her to the et and have her put down, I helped her. She's completely healthy now, I saved we life and it's like she knows it. She's never bitten me. She hates going away for me and every time I get home from work she's there in her tank looking up like "hey mom!" then I give her a kiss on the face and cuddle with her for a while. Sometimes I fall asleep with her in my bed and she just stays there next to me. I love all reptiles but I have to say that because of this bond, species of redtail constrictors are my absolute favorite reptile. Salamanders and frogs come next, then lizards like tegus and monitors.
well my collection got a bit bigger now have 14 snakes then gotta add the 5 skinks, 6 whites tree frogs, and the iguana. have a blue tongue skink and 4 red eyed croc skinks. planning on breeding this year
Used to own a death adder and take care of a timber rattlesnake, 2 eastern diamondbacks, 1 eyelash viper, 1 bush viper, 2 gaboon vipers, 2 rhino vipers. I also had boas, a ball python, a rosy boa, and adult everglades ratsnakes.
Now i just have a western hognose, 3 texas ratsnakes, 2 bullsnakes, 2 cornsnakes, 2 hatchling everglades ratsnakes, albino cali kingsnake, and a yellow ratsnake.
I do not, but my ex had a lovely King snake. I use to own two corns. I am considering getting a rosy boa or red tail. I've helped plenty with their own snakes, so I do not consider myself a beginner with these gorgeous beings.
9 snakes all together you can see some of them on my DevianArt here: http://ashserpentoflife.deviantart.com/
5 ball pythons
