The almighty 3rd Strike has been brought back from the dead in a online console version for the PSN and Xbox Live. Released yesterday for the PS3, and today for the 360. Has match replays and allows you to upload your replays straight to youtube to share with the world you awesome defeats.
Of course I got it yesterday. Been playing it non stop since last night. Now I can kick people's asses who dont want to play it on the PC. Only problem I'm having is the controller. After mastering the game on PC using my keyboard, it's all I know how to use. I need to find out if there's a way I can use a keyboard for this too.
Anywayz, here's me (Ken) fighting some dude (Ryu) online.
Anyone else getting this or got it already?

I will get this later on. I'm in the minority of fighting gamers (especially the SRK community) when I say 3S was not my favorite of the SF series. But I did like it still. I like that GGPO is getting more exposure, so long as Cannon is getting his fair share as well.
i wish there was an official sf alpha3 online for pc. u could really customize the heck out of your fighter. i originally played it on ps2. i have sf third strike as a arcade emu on pc.
There xbox plugins for almost everything so you can use as xbox controller on your pc. also you can use a xbox emulator if you dont own a xbox controller. i use xboxce

I definitely had fun playing against you. Haven't played in so long and this was a great refreshment.
Yeah Urien's juggling combo is so hard. You do way better than what I can do with him. lol I dont really have any tips. Sometimes I like to repeat the same moves so that when my opponent is expecting and getting ready to counter me doing it again, I end up doing something completely different so it catches them off guard. Only real tip I can think of.
Not too many people are going to leave Streetfighter 4 Arcade edition and Streetfighter X Tekken to play this.
Streetfighter X Tekken is infinitely more enjoyable then those hyperspeed 2d games.
Though I remember 3rd strike fondly, I thought Streetfighter Alpha 3 was miles better.

I absolutely hate the play style of Street Fighter 4. Way stiff and slow. 3rd Strike has the perfect speed and is so smooth. The Alpha games are fun too, but not as good as 3rd Strike imo
As stated in my previous post here, 3S was my one of my least favorites in the SF series. I'm not even sure why. It's not a bad game at all, and it gave me Yun, Yang and Elena , but it was just meh. SSF2T will always be the definitive SF to me while SFA3 will always be my favorite entry. Hell, SSF2T (not HDR) came back as part of the EVO lineup this year with the Tournament of Legends!
I like SFIV. It's a solid entry. It's still no SSF2T, but it doesn't need to be. And though the FGC is giving it a lot, and I mean A LOT, of hate right now (insofar as to say it's already a "dead" game), I have a lotta fun with SFxT. I admit that it is a mess in its current state. If what I heard at EVO is correct, the patch coming out with the DLC will fix a lot of the really bad issues (timer+more character balance).
CVS2 was a lot more polished than SFxT is, aside from roll cancelling.
-Time outs will supposedly be addressed in the next patch.
-Scaling is wacky. It's worse during chains.
-IIRC, Raven and Rolento are the main culprits of jab jab. +3 on their jabs. Next patch will see it nerfed to +1 for Rolento, while Raven's will remain untouched. He gets nerf sticked in his cr.hp, which will have its juggle potential reduced to 3.
-So far it has been kinda dull. A lot of folks were complaining that Ricky Ortiz and PR Balrog in the EVO finals weren't doing any crazy Cross Assault tech and were just playing "SFIV with tagging". Others were arguing against that by saying they were just using solid fundamentals.
-Gems are a mixed bag. For something that's supposed to be integral to balance (says Ono-san), Gems are either useless or they completely break the game (the "pay-to-win" Gems). I understand their use of letting newcomers be able to be on even terms with the pros, but then the pros use them to essentially take the work out of winning (Auto Block, Auto Throw, etc).

Tae kwon do uniforms are not like that hahahah, showing off his abbs because Namco caught on to the fact that young Asian girls think hes sexy. The custom tae kwon do ghi is more iconic yes, but I allways loved Hworang`s biker outfit with leather chappies and goggles.
I never figured out how to use Baek back in the day, so Hworang was my boy, though Jin after Tekken 4 was solid as hell. Hworang was such a cocky character too, like the typical stereotypical attitude tae kwon do students have.
