Chevelle is an American alternative metal trio that formed in 1995 in Grayslake, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The band was originally composed of two brothers and a local friend: Pete Loeffler (lead vocals/guitar), Sam Loeffler (drums/percussion), and Matt Scott (bass/backing vocals). Matt was later replaced by brother Joe Loeffler. When Joe left the band in 2005, Geno Lenardo subbed-in as the bassist until he was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini.
Chevelle has sold over three million albums in the United States. The band's first full-length album, Point #1 was released on a small record label called Squint Entertainment. Chevelle's second album, Wonder What's Next, was certified Platinum by the RIAA after a debut at #14 on the United States albums chart, Billboard 200. This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In), the band's third album debuted at #8 and has been certified Gold. Chevelle has since released a fourth album, Vena Sera and a fifth album, Sci-Fi Crimes, which was released on August 31, 2009. Other releases from Chevelle include two live albums and DVDs.
Sci Fi Crimes and TTOT are great albums to listen to.

I like Chevelle. I'm not a huge fan, only really know their singles n shit. But as of recent, I've been getting into them more and I think I'll try to listen to the rest of their stuff.
I actually really enjoy this band A lot. I actually used "Blackout" on a school report when I was in highschool xD I'm going to be buying their new album tonight.
I was a big fan of them in high school, although I thought Vena Sera sucked. Haven't listened to them in ages cuz my gf was a HUGE fan and I kinda burned out on them because of it, but next time I see Wonder What's Next at a pawn shop I'm grabbing it for sure, the guitars are wonderful.
