It's not that the twist was surprising, but that it made sense. It made your previous trips MEAN something, and you weren't just doing fetch quests. It also made what you were going to do next mean something as well.
It was a clever twist in the sense that it made everything mean something.
Holy shit that was fantasic. I love the art style of this series. Loved the Big Parrot Daddy, and liked how he acted in a twisted way like a classic BD (freaking the fuck out when Elizabeth was "threatened", then went passive when she submitted).
LOL at "Revenge of the Jedi", what is this, Fringe?
I am not such a big fan of the character design, it's kind of odd and cartoon like and very Tim Burton-ish in the shape, but it has it's own charm I suppose. I heard Obsidian had something to do with this project... if that's true then I'm hesitant to try it out.

I loved the first 2 Bioshocks, and I have to admit I was kind of dissapointed the third wasn't a prequal game. Infinite looks good anyway though. Can't wait to get it!
Currently playing BioShock 1. So far, great! Love it. If my cousin ever rents the second BioShock again, I'll ask to borrow it. And I am definitely going to play this one too
Its a good thinking man`s shooter, if it actually had a decent game length, but they clock in at about 10-12 hours.
For an action junky shooter fan, you`l get sick of it very quickly, lacks the mechanics, mobility, enemy A.I., vehicles, weapons, physics and intensity of balls to the wall shooters. The maps make for poor enviroments for firefights too.
Panocha Posse 4 life. Panocha Bandito. Love the camboyana puta. CHUPALO PUTA!!!!
I cannot wait for this game to be released. Huge fan of Steampunk and BioShock 1 (Never played 2 because it just looks horrible) and now they've mixed them both together which not only sounds fantastic, it looks it too! Definitely picking this up.
Yeah, the biggest problem is that while it's a good game it doesn't feel at all like a Bioshock game. You can't replace the creepy atmosphere of Rapture's isolationism and claustrophobia with racial propaganda and unlimited open space. The ending was another matter itself, and just didn't live up to the Bioshock legacy. Also, I had a hard time taking the game seriously with its cartoony weapon and character design. As shallow as that last remark may be, I just felt like all the damn guns were made by ACME, which may explain why the iron sights were all worthless and you were better off firing from the hip.

The whole gliding over a cable from cloud island area to cloud island area was done in 2007 via Metroid Prime 3, Retro says hello and tells you that you are very late to that party.
Its not my cup of tea, I really didn`t like Bioshock 2, the combat to me wasn`t very intense, or fun, but I understand the first one was a landmark game for back in the day, rellevant to the year it was released.
By only bona content about this game is that critics cite it as being a graphically gorgeous game, impressive on a technical level, but what I saw from the video review I saw was bland textures in the enviroment and low polygon count character models, the facial detail was very low. IGN`s reviewer said the game was too ambitious for consoles, but Crysis 3 looks a LOT better than Bioshock Infinite on consoles and high end pcs, so it was a case of a badly optimised port, Crytek did the porting much better.
The firefights looked average, theres wasn`t anything impressive about the enemy a.i. and there clearly wasn`t very many enemies on screen at once using different, diverse a.i. behaviour paterns. It looked like it played like the last two as far as combat. They give you heaps of options in combat with the plasmid stuff and weapons, but it doesn`t come together well enough in mechanics, number of enemies in an area attacking you and enemy a.i. paterns.
What it did have was violence, the saw grapple thingy cut some guys heads of, I laughed, that was pretty cool.
Theres a lack of co-op and competitive multyplayer support as well which is a definite lack of value for money in my book.
