This thread is to talk about Retro Games only.

This thread was made/stickied to satisfy posters who post about old games and to minimize flame wars between retro and modern gamers. If you post a harmful comment in this thread, your comment will be deleted. If I see ONE comment about how "modern games are crap", I will delete the thread. You have been warned.

The PlayStation 2 is considered retro to me, so it is allowed. PS2 and anything before is retro. PC games during or before 2000 are retro as well.

This thread will also be stickied so it doesn't get lost in the threads. This thread will be a work in progress, and may or may not work.

Thank you for understanding, and happy gaming!

Good old Mario FTW! I also love the early Sonic games (first 4) and the System Shock games.

Ooh! I remember Donkey Kong Country. I haven't played that in years!

I really can't stay away from Sonic the hedgehog, Spyro the dragon and Twisted metal. I'm sort of a playstation gamer.

In 1996 I gave my SNES to my cousin "for a week". Well, last year I finally got it back, fired it up and found my Secret of Mana saved game from 1995!

Naturally I loaded it and spent a couple of hours wondering what the hell I'm supposed to do. I still haven't figured it out.

More recently, I've been playing Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3.

Funny that, heavy_metal_hero. A couple of months I did a nostalgia walkthrough of Secret Of Mana on my SNES. Amazingly enough, I still remembered everything, though the Mana Beast felt a lot harder for some reason...

I was seven when I saved Secret of Mana in the 90s, I can barely remember my teen years never mind that far back...When I get round to it I'll just start over because I'm completely lost.

I bought a few games today, I ordered Grim Fandango on Ebay. I found a demo in my drawer a few weeks ago and loved it. And I bought Grand Theft Auto 3 and Sonic (the first game released on the Mega Drive/Genesis) for my android.
