PROVIDE A LINK AND BRIEF DESCRIPTION ON WHAT THE WEBSITE IS. COPY/PASTE WILL SUFFICE.
Name: Kongregate
Description: Kongregate is a website that hosts flash games that anyone can upload. What makes it different is some games support achievments, and there are some MMOs on there too. Flash-grade MMOs but still. A really cool site with some neat games.

Name: Megagames
Description: Megagames is a website that to me specializes in trainers and no-cd/dvd cracks. I mainly go on there to check gaming news, but they can be a little behind at some points. Not too far behind.
Link: Megagames
Name: Moddb
Description: Moddb, AKA Mod Database, is a website specifically for mods. There are quite a selection of mods available on the website, and you are given the option to follow some mods and get updates when the creator adds pictures, video, or "blog" entries on the project. Great for keeping track of certain in-development mods.

Name: DJ OldGames
Description: OldGames is a collection of abandonware DOS games. All abandonware games are free to download and some even have DOSbox configured and ready to go which is good for people who don't know their way around DOS. There are some games available for purchase on the website, but they are not abandonware.

Name: The Backloggery
Description: Own a lot of games? Want to keep track on what you've beaten/haven't beaten? This is the website for you! Once your create your account you can start adding games to your list. You type them in yourself though; no drop-down box to choose from which can be a pain for people who own a LOT of games, but I still love it.

Why not? Jet links shit with adult stuff on it all the time. Hell, the dumbass has posted videos and pictures with straight up nudity on the main page before.
www.thesixthaxis.com is pretty much your best bet.
They have press that go literally everywhere and find out the newest info behind both upcoming & released games, stats that will blow your mind and interviews with the developers of the games.
It is a European website so the dates may be off from your point of view, but it doesn't disappoint.
It also has a filter to see the latest news to your favorite preferred platforms and consoles!
Definitely worth checking out at least.

Once upon a time, I shared my thoughts at one Spoony Experiment forum, but I am less than fond of the forum administration there. Nonetheless, information abound.

I often frequent IGN for game ratings when I go to purchase a game.
Also for nostalgic game purches at decent pricing, check out GOG. I've purchased Duke Nukem 3D and Baldurs Gate 2, and have paid maybe $15 American for both.
Oh wow, thank you for this thread!
I found The Oregon Trail on an abandonware site. I didn't go on the one on here since it looked a bit confusing, baha.
So I googled abandonware, and a site came up called "Abandonia". It's a great site, you can even choose what point of view the game was played in, the years it could have been released, and the genre.
If anyone wants a link, just ask and I'll put one up.
Ill have to check those sites out I like 1up.com a lot and I'm loving raptr.com because it posts your achivements on your twitter and facebook. Also Halocharts.com is awesome if you're into halo
