If you do not wish to follow the rules, you will be made fun of and insulted by the other members. When a mod or admin comes across you, or you are brought to their attention, they will first give you a warning and/or assign you a Badge Of Shame or an unflattering forum title. If you continue to break the rules after being warned, you may be banned.

* No, but you risk being made fun of, tormented, yelled at, having mean titles assigned to you, or being banned. I'd advise at least looking over it somewhat.

Things you can and cannot do...
*DON'T spam your Profile, Cult, Myspace, Tumblr, or Facebook page in any forum except for the "Promotions" forum. We know that you want people to rate you 10's and to join your profile and that is fine. Just keep it confined to that forum.
*DON'T be a whiner about the admins, mods, or the board - it is looked down upon. If you have any other issues that you would like someone's help with, go to the Advice or VF Site forum. You can usually find answers from people who have the same questions as you.
*DON'T be offensive and uncivilized - if you came here to just to be stupid and start fights better do it someplace else. Same thing if you are not able to have a civilized discussion without name-calling and personal insults. Do not make threads to attack other posters.
*DON'T post nudity/pornography in any forum other than The Playground. This board has some younger people on here that don't need to see that stuff, whether they think they do or not. No nudity in images or links. In case you need the clarification, nudity consists of genitalia, ass and/or boobies and is not allowed in any form: pics, drawings, 'artistic', cartoon, etc. If you do it, you will be banned. This rule also applies to direct links to porn.
*DON'T post anything that is considered EXTREME GORE (IE: pics of actual murders, stabbings, things from Rotten.com, etc.). Images of cutting, and other forms of self-mutilation are considered to fall into the category of gore, and are not permitted.
*DON'T use nazi/racist imagery in signatures or avatars.- This is also in the SITE FAQ, so it's nothing NEW to VF.
*DON'T make extremely large sigs please - if it takes up the whole screen and more- it is too large.
*Spelling and Grammar are the way we communicate here on the Internet. L337 5P34K, txt speak, and otherwise poor communication will not be tolerated here. This is something that has always been an issue and needs to be followed. Spelling errors are one thing, continual and purposeful mistakes are something else. By the same token, there is NO centering or coloring your text. It seems petty, but the regulars of this forum have agreed over the years that it is aggravating and pointless.
*Do not post about how bored you are. You are obviously bored, or you would be outside or at the movies or the mall...etc. Do not feel the need to post this nonsense or it will be locked.
*TRY not to attack first time posters. Give them a couple posts to prove themselves.
*This board is NOT a dating site.Don't make threads asking if people are from your area, or anything similar to that. If you want to know where people are from, buy a premium account and look for yourself. This goes for directing all your posts to one person. There are Inboxes for this reason.
*Do NOT solicit or incite bombing runs or ask Premiums to bomb someone for you. If someone is giving you grief, report them to site admin or forum staff if they're breaking a rule. Otherwise, just block them. Soliciting a bombing run is entirely against the rules and will result in banning the person asking for it.
Regarding Custom User Titles
(The writing underneath your name)
Will only be given to users that have over 800 posts. If you would like a custom usertitle please inbox one of the Admins or Mods with your request and any HTML codes would be appreciated (because not all of us are great at it). DO NOT spam the message board with 'Can Someone Change My Title' threads. The Mods generally don't mind doing titles, but they may not get to it immediately. Be patient.
Also, don't ask for a badge/Title to be removed if you have one. That's up to the mod's/admin's discretion and only the one that put it there can take it off.
ADVISORY: When you change your user name and delete your old account, all your old posts that aren't new topics with replies in the thread from others are automatically deleted. If you posted anything important in the past, think twice before you decide you need a new user name.
