I'll admit I don't like her style when it comes to fashion wise but she has a really good voice in my opinion. I cannot stand her new song Born this way though I like the message behind it but I hear it everyday over and over at work and it drives me nuts.
I admit I didn't like her at first. I just brushed her off as some pop star wannabe trying to be different and act all weird for the sake of record sells. But now I started to enjoy her stuff, her tracks are good to dance to a nightclub. But I admit some of her fans go overboard when they compare her to every artist claiming shes better when she's nothing to be taken seriously really.

I'm not actually her fan because I don't see anything different in her music but she has very interisting clothing style but I think it is not enough to show the world that she is "the best", it is the music that shows how good you are, not your clothines.

-If this is what you consider good dance music, you trully are a lost cause. You think her music qualifies as intense, well programmed, catchy dance music, with meticulously designed synth lines and hooks, ie. good dance music. Since when was a poorly produced, under compressed 4.4 bass thuds, with plastic snare hits as a companion, an intersting beat by any stretch of the imagination ?
Very few people amongst her fans look past anything more then her retarded fashion sense, to define her as a trully rellevant artist in contemporary music today. Her idea of a dynamic and thought provoking, high octane, live performance is a costume change mid song...a costume change, thats her gimick, much like many plastic pop stars. That was her statement when she played live at that particular mtv awards ceremony that memory serves me at this time. Her live performances draw the biggest reaction from her fashion statements, rather then dynamic live performances, not unlike the recorded music she peddles to youngsters, lacking in substance. Her fashion sense is not particularly shocking, thought provoking, or even stylish. Begs one to question what the disenfranchised and easily influenced youths of today find so mesmerising about her shallow atempts to grab attention. Returning once more to her fashion statements, it is however her best bet in attracting easily influenced teenage girls and bisexual male teens as fans, who will infact idolise her and view her as a rolemodel in the formative stages of their young lives.
Her music is cheaply created, cheaply manafactured(but expensively marketed unsuprisingly), which is fitting considering how few of her very young fanbase would actually buy a physical copy of any of her albums, or purchase a full mp3 album.
Then again in such an industry, a bonafide slut, shallow attention seeker, a matress with legs, such as Madonna, so nothing is really suprising in how Lady Gag Reflex has come to be such a force in the contemporary, commercial music scene. Legions of budding, aspiring young pop princess archetypes shall be inspired by her works, if they ever see past her rather pitifull fashion statements.
I used to like her when she first started until she started taking art and music from previous pop/rock bands from the past and calling it art. The new video wasn't too bad I guess. Seems to have a jeferee starr quality to it?
She's a decent pop singer, nothing new or innovative, just something for the girls and gays to dance to.
Respect to her for being a smart businesswoman and milking this for all its worth, but anyone who thinks she's an amazingly talented artist needs their head checking.
Some people do not like her because they think she is a tranny, some don't because they think she is weird..well I say admire a person for what they have done than the weirdness they possess. Unlike most other celebrities at least she is doing something to try and make a change. Do people fear a caring being because it is something that the world lacks?
