I went to see Drake's show at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto earlier tonight. It was amazing! Eminem and JayZ both made an appearance!!! Along with Kardian Offishall, Fabolous, Bun B and Jeezy. Good music, beer and blunts being passed around= amazing show and great vibe!!!
It was a pretty awesome show. Got drenched in fake blood. Definitely a band you don't want to miss live.
Btw, anyone have any tips on how to keep the fake blood from washing out? I know a lot of fans wear the white shirt to keep as a souvenir. Mine was originally grey, but it's still colored from the show. I heard it washes out, but is there a way to make it stay?
On Monday the 23rd, I went to this year's Summer Slaughter Tour in San Francisco. I've been to 3 out of 4 of the years. This year they had Vital Remains, Animals as Leaders (amazing band that people need to do research on), Carnifex, Decrepit Birth, Cephalic Carnage, Veil of Maya, The Red Chord, All Shall Perish, The Faceless, and Decapitated. So many great bands and a lot of music for the affordable ticket prices. Every year has been impressive and worthwhile, so it's a shame I missed that 1 year!
The last show I went to was a bunch of stoner metal bands that sounded really cool but looked boring as fuck on stage. I hate that, when the people on stage just... stand there and look disconnected. The exception was a local band called TOAD. It's a 6 piece, 2 guitars, bass, keyboards, drum and vocals. Absolutally brutal as fuck. It's like punk rock and black metal.
-Icon of Coil
-Clan of Xymox
-Hanzel Und Gretyl
-Razed in Black
-State of the Union
-Acey Slade and the Dark Party
Pretty awesome time. Saw all of the bands. Only downsides were the technical difficulties & delays Saturday & Sunday & the fact that I was super tired by the time the headliners came on.
Oh, and I was up on stage for FGFC820, trying to dance.
