Wiki The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. They were considered a controversial and influential band, due mostly to Morrison's cryptic lyrics and unpredictable stage persona.
To some extent it's a good thing he died, because he never got a chance to fuck up The Doors. They remained good, instead of selling out/making a shit album. I really get in moods for them sometimes. Loving The Soft Parade atm.
I like grew up with hearing there music all the time
parents biiig fans so I love them.
I think Jim was just being himself
and people though he was drunk, while he was just him x3
i disagree with the whole death made them famous. Although, all too true with most bands and individuals, I feel that death didn't so much as immortalize them as much as it removed them during their prime.
Had Jim and jimi more time to create, their music would have evolved with their age. Thus giving way to a different side. A side we sadly missed due to their youthful disregards. A side possible more personal and in-depth to "why" and "how."
The Doors were and are still amazing; one of my favorite classic rock bands. A few of my favorite songs: People Are Strange, Riders On the Storm, Light My Fire, and Love Her Madly.
