I know there's no exact way to sound like someone. Though every now and then, we do sound similar or have experiences were we may sound like another singer
I can sound like a numer of different singers. I think that, no, I know that's because I'm good at imitations and voice overs. I can imitate almost anybody. I didn't say well, but I am good at impersonations.
I can sound like Christopher Hall, Stabbing Westward; Glen Danzig I do pretty well, my natural voice lends itself well to his songs and type of singing. . . believe it or not I can imitate Dani Filth pretty well. . . his talking voice and some of his high shrieks.
I can sound kind of like Max Cavalara or someone close to that sound. I like singing thrashy and gutteral sometimes.

A lot of people say 'oh, you sound like that girl from Evanescence!', but that's probably because of the sorts of songs I'm singing. I don't think I sound like Amy Lee at all.
Well, I can't say that i "sound" like anyone
But I've definitely picked up traits from the singers who have most influenced me
So I'd say Layne Staley and Mike Patton
Not replicating, of course. That's fucking Impossible
And I'm not looking to be a cheap knock-off
