Salt Lake City Punk is by far the best punk movie I've ever seen. Just the imagery, dialogue, scenery and settings. It was all so well furbished.

Repo Man was surreal as fuck. That and Suburbia are the only decent punk movies (that I've seen).

In before Sid & Nancy.

I liked Sid and Nancy. Gary Oldman did a good job playing dear old Sid. and there was a good sound track. But SLC Punk is my personal fav.

:-p I've been putting the 'fun' in dysfunctional since '93

That movie was such bullshit. And the whole "anarchy vs. order" thing was the most fucking stupid "political debate" I have ever seen in a movie.

Fuck that shit.

slc punk was good if you dont think of it as a realistic punk thing. its a major motion pictures of course the views are going to be a little off. but the acting is decent, the characters are funny (like that german (?) guy who always went crazy because he thought someone stole his bud, hilarious!) and i actually enjoy the soundtrack even though it doesnt have a ton of punk. it does have the velvets and some other gems.

i know people dislike it because it gives a skewed view of real punks. but hell, its a lot closer than some other sources! like the news haha.

pointup I liked Heroin Bob. he was funny, like how he was put in quarantine and they were holding him down to give him a shot.

It was a movie, so obviously it has to hold interest.

Always came across as dumb looking movie so I never had any interest in seeing it.

Romper Stomper isn't really about punk, but skinhead, sure.
I liked the movie still.

SLC punk made some sense though, it was great when he was making fun of the fashion punks. That acid kid was hillarious and i actaully know a guy that happened to except he didn't fall i a pool... he just took too many hits and had a stroke and tells people mary lou'snow plow is going to get taken over by the lead gremmlin (sp?) and run it through your living room...

i agree. and that whole brit punk vs. american punk was legit, though i still like brit punk better.
Sid and Nancy blew slc punk away, for me anyways. Both of them would make great anti drug movies
