Because most sites are written by people that aren't as knowledgeable about genres and sub genres like some of the rest of us are.

wait so now theyre horrorbilly? not horror punk? wow they sure do change genres alot.

If he's friends with me then he's most definitely not a homophobe, especially through some of the issues I have discussed with him.

-ANATHEMAN- you're a musical extremist with no taste for variety and so your opinion on other peoples tastes in music is void. You're affiliation with a gay group doesn't make you any more or less of a homophobe. While I agree slanderous terms like 'fag' and 'tranny' are inoffensive in the right context, the fact that you were using it negatively and as an insult, deters you from justification.
TheSanityAssassin your goading of a flame war with your initial attack* removes any sympathy from your cause, however I agree with your stand point and agree that "genre mashing" is important for the continuation and evolution of music. To disagree ; or become purest on the subject is detrimental to the art form and you become an obstacle to it's continuation.
Everything must grow to survive, eventually it will simplify as a necessary discord. This is how folk is born from rock and roll ; and how punk grew from stadium rock (re: led zeppelin) which in turn evolved from folk. To grow once more in a new direction (re: Horrorpunk) art must not be allowed to stagnate or the art form is dead (re: Modern Pop.)
