I couldnt find one of these threads, so I thought I'd start one!
I am currently reading Labyrinth by Kate Mosse. I havent got very far through it, but its excellent so far! It goes between a story in the present, and the parallel story of a girl in the past, its really interesting.
Last book I've read was Ian Fleming's "Moonraker". I've been re-reading my old James Bond novels because of "Skyfall". And I literally just started on his fourth book "Diamonds are Forever".
It's about a woman who was kidnapped and kept in an 11 foot by 11 foot shed in some man's backyard and she had a son in that room. She told him that the room was the world but when he turned 5 she told him about the outside and they developed a plan to escape and they ended up getting out and then the boy has to learn everything about the outside world and people and the mom tries to kill herself. It's just really good once you get into it.
I have several books I'm planning to read over the winter holidays:
The Importance of Being Earnest and Four Other Plays by Oscar Wilde (the other plays are A Woman of No Importance, An Ideal Husband, Lady Windermere's Fan, and Salome)
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
A Collection of Sherlock Holmes Tales by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Since the next batch of books I want to read will not be out until next month, I'm going back through my library and re-reading Anne Bishop's Black Jewels trilogy.
Just finished reading Iris Barry's The Unprotected. Can't find a copy of the cover online. It's a Gothic Romance I found at the Goodwill in Bel Air MD.
Now reading
And yes, I do know Dean Koontz.
I am Barbariana O'Brian. Princess of royal blood. Now grovel before me and kiss asphalt.
Just finished up Ever After by Kim Harrison, a good urban fantasy series. Never picked up Game of Thrones, I think years of playing WoW kinda burned me out on any high realm fantasy at the moment.
Geekomancy - Michael R Underwood
A comic book store cashier encounters a strange fellow fighting a troll with a lightsaber and is drawn into a world where magic and monsters exist and objects can be summoned from entertainment media to be used to fight others.

Not because I want to. Because it's part of my dgree course and I should have read it six months ago but couldn't be bothered and it's one of the books coming up on my exam.
