I couldnt find one of these threads, so I thought I'd start one! :-)

I am currently reading Labyrinth by Kate Mosse. I havent got very far through it, but its excellent so far! It goes between a story in the present, and the parallel story of a girl in the past, its really interesting.

What are you reading?

Just finished A short history of nearly everything by Bill Bryson, which is pretty informative, once you get over his bland and monotonous syntax.

Started rereading The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert Tressell, which is brilliant.

And Metamorphoses by Ovid

currently
Robert Jordan - The Eye of the World
Anne Maccaffery - Freedom's landing
Terry Pratchet - Jingo, and Men at Arms
James Herbet - Creed
Anne Rice - The Vampire Lestat
Homer - The Oddessy
Marlowe - Dr. Faustus
Charles Dickens - A Tale of Two Cities

Currently writing (probably not intended but seems to fit)

Rags to Riches - involves - vampires, depression studies, insanity, mania, rape, hatred and love, complex patterns of dreams, female to female adoration (strictly not love). Based on a twist of modern fairy tales, back to the original horror they used to involve.

joint with my half-sister, - involves - the sense of power from an inanimate object being ultimately controlling over an entire civilisation. Still in the planning stages, but its not bad.

"the ragged trousered philathropists is a brilliant book yeah!! :-)"

I just love it.
This is the third time I've read it, and it's still amazing.
It genuinly changed the way i look at life, the fist time I read it.

Started reading Cancer Ward by Solzhenitsyn (bound to be a light hearted romp :-) )
