My name is Alyssa, but I prefer if you call me Lyss. I'm eighteen years old. I'm not new to vampirefreaks, I have been a member since
September 2004.
I'm wierd, eccentric, odd, goofy. whichever word you choose will suit me just fine, I'm sure. I like women, mostly. I'm not what you would call easy. I tend to be picky when it comes to choosing a potential mate. On the other hand, I'm open to talking to almost anyone. Mark, I said almost anyone. I do a lot with my time, but that depends on what you perceive to be worthy of spending time on. I knit, sew, crochet, and I make jewellery and other odd things in my spare time.I like to make my own clothing and random items including quilts, pillows, and teapot covers. One day when I put off procrastinating (pun, hahah) I'm going to make a multicoloured ski mask. It's for my friend Mikey. He's going to love it. Maybe even put it in a glass case. You never know.
I'm a procrastinator, so these things don't get done quite as quickly as I'd like them to be. I also tend to quit a project right at the end of it and pick it back up four months in the future. I'm a pack rat. I keep anything and everything that I think holds some sentimental value. My friends are the most dear things to me. I cherish each and every single one of them. As far as spirituality and/or religion goes, I'm an Eclectic Solitary Wiccan. No, I am not new to The Craft, and I actually do know a small volume about it. I won't say that I know everything, because nobody ever can. Spirituality is a learning experience, an enormous and enlightening one at that.
Oh yeah, I have emetephobia. If you don't know what it is, go look it up if you're curious.
In my company, I have a beagle named Josephine, I call her Josie or Jojo for short, and a black american shorthair kitten named Devotchka. Devotchka is five months old, and likes to eat, sleep, and destroy. Josephine is aproximately six years old, and is a cuddlebear. I don't know exactly how old Josephine is because I adopted her from the pound. She was dropped off there beaten and sick, and I helped nurse her back to health. She's still very skiddish around most men.
I want to find someone who will dumpsterdive with me. Someone who will live in a squat with me, and have a cat or five. I want to find someone who I can get trashed with, and stay up all night playing guitar and singing angry punk songs. I want someone to live life with.

Also, I'm god damned pretentious. (fuck, anyone who claims to be pretentious really isn't, so disregard this statement.)

I enjoy reading very much so. I have an immense collection of works by various authors. I have quite the obsession with zombies, and anything related to zombies. I'm working on seeing every zombie movie created in between '75 to the present.
Books
My favourite books include Notes From The Underground, anything by Anne Rice, the Three Sisters trilogy by Nora Roberts, and many, many more. You can find me reading some philosophy and/or psychology at times also. A bit of Camus, a pinch of Neitzche, and a tad of Jung.
Movies
The movies I watch the most include, but are not limited to: Donnie Darko, Dawn of the dead, Day of the dead, Land of the dead, Plane Dead, Night o the living dead, Diary of the dead, Return of the living dead, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Big Fish, The Craft, The Lion King, and Interview with a Vampire.
Dislikes
I dislike most of the human population. I know that sounds very angsty, but it's true. People are ignorant sloths who are only looking out for number one.
I dislike the whole "scene" and "emo", thing that's been going around. I don't know why people would want to subject themselves to the worst trend to hit since bouffant hair and leg warmers.

In a scene where music has taken a back seat to haircuts, you win....and I lose. You're more punk, hardcore, mod, , SCENE, straightedge, emo, indie, goth than me. Your skin is paler, your pants are tighter, you have more tattoos. You have cooler pins on your messenger bag and your favorite band is more obscure than mine. Your shoes are more vintage and so is your t-shirt. You own more black clothes than me. I don't even own anything with hello kitty. Your glasses are thicker and blacker than mine, the plugs in your ears are bigger. The piercings on your face are shinier and your eyeliner drags down past your cheeks. The raccoon print in your hair is done better. You know more people in bands and your oh so glam necklaces are the envy of scenesters everywhere. Your scene points are double, perhaps triple, mine. Because as we all know, that's what really matters.
